Trusting the Alpha

Rate this book
Mick would do anything for his pack, and anything to avoid a fate like his parents had. So he’s agreed to marry a wolf from another pack who is definitely not his mate in order to lock away any chance to have to trust another with his life.

Callie is on the run from her abusive husband with her young son in tow. With nowhere to go and almost no money, she walks into a bar determined to get right back on the road. A broken down car places Callie at Mick’s mercy and right in the middle of a territory struggle between two wolf shifter packs and a clan of bear shifters.

Tara is no stranger to the violence that a shifter's life entails, but that doesn’t mean she can trust easily. Especially not when she's seen the violence her fated mate is capable of. Kody knew her the moment her pack moved in, but as a bear shifter he has a responsibility to his clan and his brother, who would never accept him mating to a wolf.

Fate can’t be stopped, and trust is essential for true love. Will these two couples learn to trust or they will miss out on all that fate has promised them.

This is a must read and I’ll tell you why.
I’m generally a romantic comedy reader exclusively however I picked this book up at a local book store during Courtney Davis’ book signing. I passed over it on my shelf for several months before deciding to give it a go. What a mistake! I LOVED IT. I could not put it down. Her character development, complex plot, and of course plenty of romance, kept me so engaged. I finished it in two days. It was one of those books you stay up into the night to finish because you can’t wait to find out what happens. Then after finishing, you miss the characters and wonder how they’re doing because you got to know them so well. Courtney’s books should be flying off the shelves. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.
