About the author

I am a retired nurse and soccer enthusiast. I have three adult children, a loving husband and two tuxedo cats. I have written and published 3 children’s book thru Bluewater Publications. “Loloa the Floppy Eared Puppy” is my first foray into self publishing. My love for Hawai’i began when i was around 9 years old when I had my last strawberry milkshake on a layover at the airport. As an adult I found my way back, married, raised my children, worked as a registered nurse in a maternity/children hospital, and volunteered with a children’s soccer organization. I have studied Hawaiian intermittently since 2000 with a long term goal of speaking 'Olelo Hawai'i fluently. Writing stories has been an interest of mine since elementary school, seriously pursuing it since 2018. My writing focuses on elementary school children and events in places I have lived..
