EVE OF DESTRUCTION!

In this Space Ghost’s headquarters lies in ruins, and the Ghost Planet teeters on the edge of total collapse! The Council of Doom stands triumphant, while the Guardian of the Spaceways barely clings to life! Unless we’re missing something, it looks like oblivion is about to claim our heroes and extinguish the last flickering light in the great darkness!

The binary star system of writer DAVID PEPOSE and artist JONATHAN LAU gaze into the abyss with Space Ghost #12 — fortified by indelible imagery from FRANCESCO MATTINA, JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG, BJORN BARENDS, and ANTHONY MARQUES!

Good series that I have enjoyed more than I thought I would. I really only read this title due to my history with the cartoon when I was a child. It was one of my Saturday morning favorites. This issue was good but a "star" down from the 5-star I have been rating it. I think the villains are stale or 1-dimensional. Hopefully the writers will develop more interesting bad guys again.

This is still a fun comic to read, but I still have the same issue with it, one that really rears its head in this issue. The Council of Doom (cool name for a villain team up) is basically a bunch of idiots. These villains, who seemed cool for the most part on their own, turn into a bunch of complete dumbasses that are easily outwitted by Space Ghost and the kids once they've teamed up. I get that villains usually look out for themselves and not for others, and the heroes use that fact to their advantage, but the villains are becoming hard to take seriously in this series. Also, this Ultima storyline that's coming up next? I'm going to check it out for sure, but it sounds a little too much like the Borg from Star Trek to me, at first glance.
