In the final installment of The Redemption Series, Anna must face the challenges of retrieving the rest of the seals from the Princes of Hell. As her relationship with Lucifer grows stronger, she learns more about not only her father’s past but also her own. Helena uses her growing influence to strengthen her dominion over Hell and tempt Anna’s dark side into joining forces with her. Malcolm does everything within his power to help the love of his life deal with the transformations the seals are thrusting upon her, but he knows, in the end, that she is the only one who can decide her own fate. Through many trials and tribulations, Anna learns that the choices she makes can’t always be so black and white. Sometimes, extreme circumstances force you to choose what’s most important in life and who it is you really want to be.

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

This series definitely needs more recognition, 100%. It's mindblowing. Love it. Book 1, the story surrounding Lilly and Brand, might be a bit slow, but it'll most definitely grow on you as Lilly gain more and more confidence and backbone. Absolutely an adventure to read through! This is the second time i read the entire series, and still on-going. Sure, it's quite a lot of books to work through but i swear time flies by quickly and before i knew it, here i am.

Now, i wasn't supposed to review the Lilly and Brand books here (book 1-3), but i just can't recommend this particular book (book 18) without starting from the absolute beginning! Now, let's mention one of the main characters here. The everlasting person with us throughout the series is Malcolm. Honestly, everything becomes so much more interesting with Malcolm in the picture, so basically from the moment he's introduced, that's when you'll get hooked, or at least that's when i was hooked. In short, if you like fantasy and a world that consists of angels, nephilim, soul mates, and everything between Heaven and Hell and even alternate universes, this is a story for you. What's also so incredible about this is that the author covers a lot of ground, explains and describes, thoroughly letting us know and understand different characters. Although i admit that Brand was quite mysterious and came outta nowhere in book 1 but i can look past that lol.

But! This right here! is when Malcom's story finally begins, and it was worth the wait. And so it continues, and i'm eager to dive into the next read. Bye bye

SPOILERS BOOK 2 to 4.

I read all books within a few days so this is a review of all of them.
I really loved all of them. I loved the evolution of Malcom and Anna's story.
But, most of all of loved the evolution of Lucifer back to God's heaven so he could be with his wife again.
I think that was the most beautiful the love he had for his daughter saved him.

I think overall this was really a beautiful series since the originally Watcher Triology ( the only series I did not like was Alternate Earth).

Also, books 2 to 4 have ALOT of sex scenes in them, that I think would border on erotica. I dont read erotica books, but I think she put too many sex scenes in each book. Sometimes certain scenes had my eyes rolling from the corniness of some of the scenes.
I kind of wish that this whole series ended with this book. I kind of wish we didnt have to still deal with Helena. I know she did that so she could continue her book series. But, I like to see ending of book series.

Redemption #4
My first suggestion to anyone who reads this book is to read it with a box of tissues handy because you will absolutely need them.

So much happens in this book. Far more than should be contained in one book, yet for the most part this book does not feel rushed in any way. In fact, there are a couple of times where it almost drags. However, whenever this happens you can count on the fact that it won't be long until something else exciting/tragic/romantic happens, so it's highly unlikely that you will get bored. Enjoy!

I am also looking forward to the next series of books that will be introduced in the Watcher universe. I hear this one will focus on the War Angels.

Could have been a 5 Star!

I cried my eyes out at times in this one. Through the whole series I’ve been been on a roller coaster ride. This one was touching, but also the biggest disappointment. It was the end of this series but, after two previous series, you expect a certain amount of closure to the ending. Granted there is a twist to what the mission really is, but the door was left wide open on the supposed purpose of this book. Happy, sad, annoyed and sooo over this series is what comes to mind.

This series has been one of my favorties if S.J.’s. I personally have liked Lucifer’s character since Jess and Mason’s timeline. It was great to see him finally get a happy ending. My favorite part of this series though was the fact that Malcolm was able to find his soulmate after so long. He deserved it more than most. How he survived so long with the hellhound bite shows just how much he wanted to keep his promise to Lily. I want to read more about Lucifer and Amalie also though and can’t wait for that story to be written.

Love, Forgiveness and Redemption

What an ending to this series!!! I was blown away and in a great way. This has been an action packed story - never a dull moment!!

One signature of a great book and author is if they can bring you into the world of their creation. Ms. West definitely has that ability! Highly recommend starting from the beginning with Cursed and reading through Amalie and Lucifer’s story.

Spoiler Alert!!!!! The best laughter moment when Anna’s two dads walk in on her and Malcom.

Must read!!

This is the last book in this series, but there are previous series that lead up to this final book. Anna and Malcolm are wonderful characters, as Malcolm has been around since the beginning of the books. The book has a wonderful build of characters that make you want to keep reading to find out what happens to them. I'm off to the next series to see what happens next to Anna and Malcolm.

This book brought me to tears a few times. While I don't think it meshes with standard religious beliefs, it is still a well-written story.

4.0. A nice ending to a great series.

Plot:
As Anna continues to collect the rest of the seals, her personality begins to transform into something so vile that even the love she and Malcolm share may not get her through. At the same time, she tries to develop her relationship with Lucifer, who Helena continues to torture with visions of his past.

Characters:
Our sweet and likable Anna begins to get more and more angry and evil, and those changes – because they were so out of character -- made Redemption a very uncomfortable and suspenseful read. Through it all, Malcolm remains supportive. When Anna’s at her worst, he tries so hard to counteract her volatility with his love, but there were times I worried that it wouldn’t be enough.

Once again, my favorite character is Lucifer. His reactions to just about everything Anna did (from kissing him on the cheek to killing the princes) were priceless. It was also compelling to watch him try to come to terms with the things he had done in the past and try to redeem himself. As he does, we learn more about his past and find out why he and Anna are so drawn to each other (apart from being father and daughter).

The Watchers returned, as did Millie and Lucas, and when the two of them are placed in tremendous danger, we are surprised with some new information about Lucas. Helena also returns and we see why she is so relentless in her pursuit of Anna.

Writing:
There were very few grammatical errors, which is always awesome. In terms of content, there continued to be a lot more sexual situations than the other books in the series, and once again, some were pretty detailed. Redemption is also much more violent than the rest of the books.

The Bottom Line:
If you’ve read the other books in the Redemption series, or any of the Watchers books, this is a must read. The book did a great job of showing how the events in Anna’s and Malcolm’s pasts tied in with those in the other series. There were some devastating losses in the book, but the ending was so sweet that I almost wanted to cry. The only thing I would like to have seen was more information on what happened to Anna and Malcolm in the future. On a positive note, the ending paved the way for another series with the same characters. I will definitely be reading those as well.

Finally an end to this series... but, PSYCH, not really! This is hardly a spoiler, because the past three series I've read by West end in this same exact way. There's a resolution [of sorts] to the immediate plot line, so the series doesn't end on a GIANT cliffhanger, but West leaves others open to pave the way for a future series. It's kind of annoying because I'm trying to get away from this series... and now I can't because it's not done, and I hate to leave things unresolved (it makes me itch). This series just kind of lost its magic for me. It's just too much of the same old same old for me to keep interested- I found myself skimming the book to get to the end.

One thing I did like about this series was how the author envisioned Lucifer's character- as the petulant child of God, fallen from grace, who desperately wants forgiveness, but is too proud to ask his father for it. In most other incarnations of Lucifer, he is depicted as wholly evil, who wishes no more than to corrupt humanity. In this series, we are made to realize that Lucifer suffers from pride, jealousy, and- to an extent- abandonment issues... but sorry buddy, that doesn't really excuse your actions! I am glad that in the end .

Not sure if I'm going to continue reading any further series... I really want to see what will happen with Lucas, Bai and the twins- especially after that shocking reaveal about their souls at the end- but, we'll see.

Love this book. S.J west is defiantly one of my favourite writers. She knows how to make you connect with her characters the storylines are great that keep you hooked. Redemption continues where Lucifer left off. We find that Anna is struggling with the guilt ok killing a prince of Hell, but luckily she is surrounded by her loved ones to bring her back from the edge but unfortunately that doesn't last long the more seals she collects and you cant help but feel sorry for her. Not only does she have to deal with the princes of Hell there is also someone else Helena who is causing her trouble. But there are also happy times through Redemption especially when is concerns her father Lucifer. We even get to see from Lucifer's point of view him talking to His father.

Yet another amazing series from S. J. West. This novel is the fourth and final one in Anna's series. I do not want to spoil the story but this book contains some transformations for Lucifer, as well as we learn more about Helena. We will learn the reasons for why the series was title Redemption and it may not be what you first think.
I really love Anna ( also known as the Redemption series) and feel she is an excellent role model. West's gift is creating such strong women characters that you can't help but love. She's a political leader and a staunch advocate for her friends and family. And of course, Malcolm everyone's favourite Watcher heartthrob is in this novel. I really like the relationship between Malcolm and Anna, as readers have been hoping Malcolm would find his soul mate.

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I will not give any spoilers so all I have to say is OMG this was great!!! S.J. West's best book yet!!

The emotions each and every character was feeling, I felt right along with them. I was laughing my ass off and then bawling my eyes out as well.
There were a few twists I was completely surprised about but one that I wasn't really surprised with.

And if anyone ever reads my reviews here on Goodreads, they'll know I'm a horrible Nazi when it comes to the editing of a book. That said, there were only TWO mistakes in this entire book. It made my reading experience that much better!!

S.J. West can do no wrong!!

Anna has to deal with the fact that she enjoyed killing and the seals are changing her, her physical appearance is changing due to the seals as well. God shares Anna's true identity (seraphina) and learns her real reason for coming to earth as a human. Her doing this changes things for every soul every created. Lucifer is changing and it's very apparent. Anna has to save the people of Alto because there is always some demon trying to take over and destroy what Anna Loves. Anna was a flat character.

I could not get into this series. I loved the previous three. Unlike Lilly, Caylin, and Jess, I found Anna just a flat character. I could not get behind her or cheer for her.
I was most looking forward to Malcolm's and Lucifer's stories. Even they did not have the charisma from the other series. The only reason I gave this three stars is because at the end you catch a small glimpse of the way they were.
I hope the next series brings the characters back to people I would like to read about.

Redemption

I can not tell you how much I enjoyed this series/continuation of the story that began with The Watchers Trilogy. Malcolm and Anna are perfect for one another and as this saga continues we learn the truth behind who Anna is, being that she is an old soul, and everything just seems to come together in the end. Lucifer truly steals the show and my heart in this epic journey to redemption. Another great read, I could hardly put it down. Happy reading!

Lucifer's ending couldn't be more beautiful

I have loved this series from the beginning and it completely captivated me from Lilly's story. I'm glad she found a way to make Lucifer show his true self in the end and it couldn't have been more beautiful than the ending she gave him. I think Anna and Malcolm have a long journey to continue but it's going to be even better than what's ready written.
