She's a struggling artist, journeying to the heart of the forest for inspiration... Raine walks among the trees and gentle wildlife of the town of Broadwater, awestruck by its beauty and tranquil charm. With her boyfriend Jack hard at work climbing the corporate ladder, Raine is left to her own devices; little does this city-dweller know, she's being watched...
He's a strong and silent motorcyclist, with fiery, lustful blood running through his veins, and an Alpha's resolve. After saving her life from a bear, Jacy tends to her wounds, and finds himself growing ever closer to this out-of-town misfit. Finding each other irresistible, they're soon united in a passionate embrace, but can Raine ever truly understand just who - and what - Jacy really is?
Raine and her corporate boyfriend Jack are visiting the small beautiful town of Broadwater, while Jack is busy empire building Raine is enjoying the scenic beauty and taking loads of photos, she a photorealist and will create art from the photos when she gets back home. Being in this quaint little town and staying in an old Victorian house has made Raine even more aware of the differences between Jack today and the Jack she fell in love with years ago and she knows their relationship is lacking. Now this book was ok, it wasn't in my opinion particularly good or bad, I don't think it helped that I didn't really like Raine, Jack or Jacy and therefore I wasn't interested in them, there wasn't really much story and certainly nothing that's not been done before but then how many books are truly original most have been done and redone which brings it down to the writing and it's hard to explain exactly what I didn't like but for me it didn't flow, something was missing, the conversations and interactions just didn't seem right and like I said it's not good or bad but it is forgettable and I won't be reading the next one.
