Hayden and Hartley thought their lives would be easy now without the threat of Hercules, Persephone, and the dark souls—well as easy as possible with Hartley’s chain to the Underworld—but they were seriously wrong.
Darkness is unleashed by Ares, god of war, threatening Hartley and her friends again. Hayden’s brother comes to the rescue, but he seems more interested in getting close to Hartley. While they try to uncover Ares’ devious plot for power they end up revealing a lot more about Hartley than she ever expected.
Fire and lightning fly among the two rival brothers and things heat up between Hartley and Hayden’s relationship. But the more time she spends in the Underworld the more Hartley’s darker side emerges.
In the end will Hayden be prepared for the truth about Hartley? Or will it rip them apart forever?

Hayden and Hartley truly have a love like know other. They truly have one another heart, but jealousy really pushes the to the limits with Hayden's brother Zeke coming into the picture. Hayden also learns that her father is keeping more secrets then she realized about her mother. The gods are always up to something with their own selfish agenda.
This book was just as great as the first book in the series and introduces even more gods with agendas set to disrupt Hartley and Hayden’s lives in jaw-dropping, twisted ways. I loved it. And the revelation at the end… I’ll definitely be reading the next one immediately.
Whew, thank God for KU. I'm finding so many amazing books and this is one of them. I jumped into it right after the first one and read almost the entire thing on a plane ride. Made travelling more pleasant.
Ares, God of War, is getting a bit ornary. He wants power, just not the kind of power people suspect he wants. And he has a plan to get it. He decides to unleash the seven deadly sins, leaving Hayden, Hartley, and all their friends at the mercy of the sins. People are acting strangely and it's up the Hayden to work with someone he never wanted to help - his brother Zeus.
Add into that the fact that Zeus has eyes for Hayden's girl and all secrets begin to unravel. Who exactly is Hartley? What is she? Who is her mother? The answers to those question aren't what anyone expected.
This book was even better than the first. I went on to read the third right away because I wanted more of these characters. Hayden is topping my book boyfriend list at the moment. Read this series. You won't regret it.
