Mercy is the new bartender at Devil's bar, the local MC hangout in Stoneheart. Cash is the MC accountant and can be found on his stool at the bar most nights, watching out for club business... but mostly watching Mercy. No one else might notice, but with his past as a kid on the streets, Cash knows Mercy is hiding secrets.
Mercy is on the run from her abusive and controlling cop ex-husband, but when he comes to town, she's ready to run. Until a certain hot biker steps in to claim her and defend her, with the entire club at their backs. Mercy finds a home and family, a place to belong, a place to stand and fight.
Starting this book then realizing it was in the middle of a series made me want to go back and start at the beginning. But reviews are due so I tried my best to keep up with the who's who. The story itself is standalone, full of action and heat and great characters. I definitely plan on catching up with the rest of the MC, and the teaser for Emma and Bones' story next is exciting.

Burned in Stone might just be my favourite book from this series so far. Cash and Mercy's story had a little of everything, a great storyline, witty banter, drama, chaos, action and let's not forget the sizzling heat that radiates from these characters. Two broken souls with damage that they feel makes them not good enough and trust issues that create walls almost too high to scale. However from the moment these two meet, something clicks between them but it will take a found family to show these two they were made for each other. Their story will have you on the edge of your seat and at times holding your breath. I found an instant connection with not only the characters but the storyline. I also love how their story leads us into the next book with such a pull you know you are going to dive into it straight away.

Stone Heart MC

This is for us MC lovers that like darker, grittier books with tons of steam and that is exactly what Cash and Mercy give us. Mercy is in hiding and Cash is a patient man who will do what it takes to protect her. I love how this book was full of suspense and steam making this a big page turner for me.

Cash gets to know the new bartender Mercy in town, and they are incredibly drawn to each other (and we know this because the chemistry is off the charts from page 1!) but they both have scarred pasts and don't do relationships, although Cash can't help but want to try. Mercy is on the run from her ex, Gabriel, but doesn't tell Cash until Gabriel comes a-knocking, trying to claim her back. In a twist of fate, Cash gets kidnapped, which really is a bad decision and Gabriel's downfall.

This is not a short insta-love story - the plot is quite elaborate but so well-executed. I liked how the overarching threat of Summit has developed from Poppy/Axel's story to Mercy/Cash's (these are my references because I haven't read the other books..yet!). I really enjoyed Poppy and Axel's story, although it is slightly shorter and I felt it was lighter than this book. Cash and Mercy's backgrounds and story is a lot more gritty, but their tenacity made the HEA all the more sweeter. And there were also many funny moments, with characters ribbing each other. It did take me a while to get into the book, I felt the start was a little slower - also I think I was expecting the storyline to be something I'd read before, but once the pace picked up it was so hard to put down!

I'm not a fan of MC stories, but I was really drawn into the Stoneheart universe with its diverse repertoire of characters, and how they rally around each other. And I love how Bones and Emma are introduced - now I am DEFINITELY reading their book! And Stone and Josie! I can't wait!!.

I wouldn’t call this MC Lite, unless you automatically call an MC Romance “Lite” because the MC is not a 1% club. This one has some pretty heavy elements.
I loved this book. The main characters were highly developed and the side characters each had an individual personality (except the two sidekick cops. They were pretty much Thing One and Thing Two).
To me, the main themes were home and family. The MC is truly a family, teaching Mercy (FMC) the difference between shackles and a shield when she was recovering from domestic abuse. Cash (MMC) was homeless as a teenager, and he finds a true home in his Mercy.
The MC is more protective than destructive as far as their hometown is concerned. But they also take care of business when needed and have some serious enemies who strike at them. Hard. And the book had some serious triggers.
I thought the plot was really well done, with Mercy’s Big Bad tying in with the larger ebil entity the club faced.
In short, I found this book entertaining and compulsively readable.
Book contains NO CHEATING BETWEEN THE MAIN CHARACTERS. But SA is discussed and the heroine is technically married, so YMMV.
Heat is EXPLICIT.
TRIGGERS include but are not limited to CSA, Abuse, Domestic Violence, Violence, Arson, Kidnapping, and Corrupt Police.

Get comfortable you put it down until the last page has been turned this is part of the Stoneheart Motorcycle Club series. Mercy smart on the run from an ex. husband who abused her broke her told her she was nothing but deep down she realized she was strong enough and she loved herself more to walk away landing a job working in a small mountain town, the Devil’s Bar where she begins to heal. Cash sexy as all get out treasure for the club but his past leaves a lot to be desired he isn’t a nice man when you get on the wrong side of him but he tries his best to keep that side of him buried but he has no problem protecting those he loves, and will let that guy out to get those he care about safe. The magnetic pull is there the moment these two meet but their keep them from at an arm’s length yet he doesn’t miss the way she watches, or finches and he intends to ensure she feels safe, protected but what happens when her ex. finds her, will the be there to protect her, will she be strong enough to fight for her freedom, will her ex. finally get what he deserves, and will our two broken people find a little peace along with happiness?

Oh my goodness, the smoldering chemistry between them starts off hot and does not quit. Cash has been watching and protecting Mercy since she first started working. Mercy is hiding and has several secrets she's determined to hide. The want and desire he has for her is intense and pulled me in. Cash is patient and the protector, the perfect match for Mercy, who needs someone strong to allow her to build herself back up. I love that he's not your typical bad boy biker, by far one of my favorites. The club and Mrs. Yu were the best, they had me laughing several times. The perfect balance of high stakes suspense, unbearable tension, and extremely spicy moments! I absolutely loved Cash and Mercy, definitely one of my top favorite MC romances!

I loved the characters of Cash and Mercy. Ohh Cash’s past was painful and scared him. When the MC found him his strength just grew and the man he became is one of strength, yes honour and loyalty.
Mercy’s own past is full of cruelty and a man whose control knows no boundaries or end.
When these two first meet it is Mercy who keeps Cash at bay, but when her past comes knocking hard at her door. She knows the only way is to face it with Cash and the MC.
These two are so perfect, he loves the woman in front of him and she sees more than a scared, sacred man, but a warrior a protector.
Full on drama, angst, and oh the chemistry and steam is so good.

There's an electricity between Cash & Mercy that neither of them can deny but Mercy is terrified of her past catching up on her and bringing danger to both Cash and the Stoneheart MC.
No matter how much she tries to keep Cash at arms length, the danger finds them regardless. Her estranged husband, a dodgy cop no less.
Cash has his own mistrust with the boys in blue from his horrendous youth on the streets. Tie that in with what Mercy is running from, and they are a match made in heaven with a side serve of spice!
Then there Summit. The corrupt corporation trying to take over the town. Summit has Mercy's husband (Gabriel) in their pocket but the Stoneheart MC are smarter, stronger and far more resilient than Summit or the possessive Gabriel give them credit for.

Mercy is on the run and decided attaching herself to an MC and working in their bar might protect her. Cash is the MC treasurer and as a kid from the streets he recognizes that she is hiding something. He steps up to claim and protect her when her ex finds her and two broken souls find a home with each other. This is an action packed read with plenty of steam about found family and what home really means. This is a new to me author and the book can be read as a standalone but I will be backtracking to learn everyone else's stories.

Cash knows that the woman he wants has secrets that haunt her just like him. Mercy tries to resist the younger Cash but he is persistent. When danger comes for his woman, Cash lets his Stoneheart MC brothers know she is his claim thus they rally to protect their own. I have enjoyed this series with its overarching Summit Plot and watching each guy fall hard. Cash and Mercy were perfect and the story kept me engrossed to the end. Looking forward to more!

I am usually apprehensive when going into a new MC series because every author does it differently and change scares me 🤣🤦‍♀️, but I have been so in love with the Stoneheart MC Universe. Book after book, couple after couple, banger after banger! Cash and Mercy are no different. I was expecting something lighter, funny and spicy and while I laughed and devoured this, I was met with drama and tension and of course still spice 🔥! Cannot wait for Bones and Emma's story!

Really good

I have been a fan of Megan for a while now. I’ve read most of her stuff and she keeps getting better. This was a book about two broken souls who healed together. Trigger warnings-domestic abuse and violence. Mercy and Cash are perfect together and I love all the side characters. Steel is a riot and can’t wait to see what his story is like. Great job on this book. Looking forward to the rest of the series

Cash and Mercy's story is an intense and page turning one. Mercy is running from her abusive ex, who is a cop, and meeting Cash, the MC treasure, and the club was just what she needed. From the moment he sees Mercy, he claims her and goes into protective mode. Burned in Stone is a wonderful addition to the multi-author Stoneheart MC series, and I look forward to reading the rest of the books. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a fantastic MC romance. It was a well written story that had a great flow. It was a bit to the darker side than most of this author’s other books but I loved that. Cash and Mercy had amazing chemistry and I loved how they were able to overcome their respective baggage together.

Mercy and Cash are both troubled from their backgrounds, just hers follows her around. Prepared to fight for what they want (and need) our couple have the backing of the MC club too. A great steamy read if you like bikers but don't like a heavy and dark romance read.

Mercy and Cash's story has a lot of drama and continues the battle between Summit and the MC. Cash was so patient as Mercy worked through her hang ups about "ownership" and her controlling ex. And it isn't just Mercy who works through trauma...Cash has plenty of his own! And the Epilogue just killed me....because it is a lead in to the next story and it should be a doozy!

Honestly this has been one of the best MC series I’ve read. I love that there’s not the club drama of the “hang arounds/bunnies”. There’s a solid storyline throughout. There’s always good chemistry with the MC’s of each book but they also bring in the start of the storyline with the next book so you’re kind of prepared.

Another 5 star book!!

Hooked from the very first page. I found this romance book to be a spicy, sweet and all the feels page turner that I LOVED reading from cover to cover. I am completely captivated by Megan Wade’s writing style! The world-building and character development are truly exceptional. Another 5 star book!! Perfect to curl up with!! Happy reading.
