Thank you to Sarah Bale for the ARC of Seeking Sam!

I want to start by saying I don’t think I was the target audience here. Instalove and accidental pregnancy aren’t usually my jam. That said, this book is definitely for the girlies (and theys) who love a fast-paced, spicy ride with a dirty-talking cowboy who isn’t afraid to worship his woman.

We’re talking major “good boy” energy, lots of steam, and a whole lot of swoon-worthy devotion. If you’re a fan of immediate attraction, high heat, and don’t mind a third act breakup with a HEA, this one’s for you.

For me, it was a three-star read, mostly because I struggled to connect with the quick romance beats. But if instalove is your thing? Saddle up.

Y’all, the chemistry between Charlotte and Sam…*swoons* off the charts. These two made my heart happy. Charlotte is a strong heroine and I loved her instantly. She’s pretty much exactly who I want to be if I ever grow up. She’s been treated terribly by the boy’s club at her office and it includes her ex, who stole her story and promotion and her boss Freddy, who was aware. So Charlotte sets off to find her own once in a lifetime story, chasing a lead on Sam Stone- country music superstar who’s been cancelling shows and slowly distancing himself from the spotlight. She doggedly tracks Sam down at his ranch to get the scoop and gets stuck in a flood only to be saved by the man she’s hunting. Their meet cute was fantastic. I fell for Sam as fast as Charlie did. It was so sweet watching these two people who were sort of lost after being beaten down by life, find love and peace in each other. It was so heartwarming and the smexy times were very hot!

I especially loved that Charlotte was upfront about being a reporter. It added to who she was as a person in my eyes and also ensures that it isn’t a betrayal later on that is completely expected. There is a third act breakup, but I wasn’t expecting the specific circumstances, which I loved because I read a lot. I’m also still peeved at how it went down lol. I was in tears when Charlotte has to leave Stonewater Ranch without talking to Sam. Charlotte does get some awesome revenge on the boy’s club and calls Freddy out for his misogynistic crap. It was awesome! Then she tries and tries to get in contact with Sam, to explain her side of things, and she writes him letters 😭😭. I was crying during this part for sure. Charlotte is so heartbroken and you could feel it bleeding through the pages, then she finds out she’s pregnant and my heart absolutely broke at every obstacle she met in trying even harder to get in contact with Sam after that. Obviously they get back together, but I am STILL mad at Phern. I have not let it go lol. I have a thing about people making decisions on behalf of others though, so maybe it won’t bother you as much. Sam and Charlie found each other again and lived sexily ever after 😂.

Seeking Sam is the first in Sarah Bale’s new series- Broken Heart Creek and I totally loved it. It was a hot cowboy romance that got it just right. Perfect chemistry, fantastic characters, and such a good love story. My heart felt so full after reading it. Don’t miss this one if you’re a cowboy romance girlie!

This book was excellent! I enjoyed it even from the very beginning. I believe the character's rough past helped bring them together as a couple. Even though the relationship between the MMC and FMC developed very quickly, I still believe that the events leading up to their meeting helped strengthen their bond. The ending portion also truly helped conclude the book on a strong note. Between the plot and the spice, I enjoyed every moment. Thank you so much, Sarah Bale and Bookfunnel for This book was excellent! I enjoyed it from the very beginning. I believe that the characters' rough pasts helped bring them together as a couple. Although the relationship between the main male character (MMC) and main female character (FMC) developed very quickly, I think the events leading up to their meeting strengthened their bond. The ending also effectively wrapped up the story on a strong note. I appreciated both the plot and the level of spice throughout the book; I enjoyed every moment. Thank you so much, Sarah Bale and Bookfunnel, for the opportunity to read this ARC!the opportunity to do this arc!

"But then you showed up. And suddenly surviving wasn't enough. I wanted everything."

From the very first page, Seeking Sam by Sarah Bale had me hooked. I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC, and I couldn’t be happier that I got to dive into this story early. The pacing was fast and exciting—there was no slow build here, just a gripping, emotional ride from the start.

What really stood out to me were the characters. They’re passionate, deeply layered, and so beautifully written. Sarah Bale has a true gift for making her characters evolve in such a short time, yet it never feels rushed or forced. Their growth through heartbreak and healing felt real and raw, and watching them find their way toward something new was powerful. She weaves vulnerability and strength together seamlessly, making you root for them not just as a couple, but as individuals.

If you love a story filled with heart, heat, and hope, this book is for you. Seeking Sam is a reminder that love can be a lifeline, even when we least expect it.

Broken Heart Creek Series, book 1.
I absolutely love getting a book that is the first in a series because it sets the pace for upcoming stories!
Tropes:
• He falls first
• Forced proximity
• Plus size FMC
• Spice
• Country music singer/cowboy
Sam and Charlotte couldn’t be any different!
Sam loves music but loves his quiet country life and decides to go back to the peace he always felt. Charlotte needs a big story to save her job as a reporter and decides to track down and find out where and why Sam disappeared, only he found her as she was stuck in her car in flood water.
After Charlotte was rescued, she finds herself staying with Same. As time passes and they spend more time together, alone, they both find themselves finding so much in each other!
I couldn’t read this book fast enough. If this is just the taste of the Broken Heart Creek Series, I can’t wait to see what Sarah Bale does next!!!

Seeking Sam is a great blend of romance, chemistry, and some serious spice. The story follows Charlotte, a plus-size FMC who finds herself unexpectedly thrown together with Sam, a charming cowboy and country music singer. The forced proximity between these two leads to intense moments that sizzle both in and out of the bedroom. Sam’s devotion to Charlotte is so deep, and I loved watching him fall first, setting the stage for a romance full of heat, tenderness, and emotion.

I found myself captivated by Sam’s cowboy charm and Charlotte’s confident, relatable character. The chemistry between them was electric, and the moments they shared were undeniably steamy. As someone who doesn’t often reach for Westerns, Seeking Sam left me wanting more and I’m already eagerly waiting the next book in the series!

If you love a spicy romance with heart, a country music twist, and a heroine you can root for, Seeking Sam is an absolute must-read!

I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of this book, and it was a quick, fun, and intense read! The story kicks off with a fast-paced, magnetic connection between the two main characters, and I was hooked from the start. I especially enjoyed the first half — the chemistry, the banter, and the build-up were all so engaging.

However, the second half fell a bit flat for me. The plot required the heroine to leave without telling the hero, but given his wealth and resources, it felt unrealistic that he wouldn’t use every means possible to find her. That took me out of the story a bit, as I felt the conflict could have been resolved more believably.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable read if you’re in the mood for a whirlwind romance with some drama thrown in. Just be ready to suspend your disbelief at times!

**I received this as an ARC and am so grateful to Sarah Bale for sending it my way. I will definitely be picking up more of her books

This story was such a sweet insta-love where the cowboy falls hard and fast! When Charlie storms into Sam’s life there is an instant connection between the man no one could find and Charlie who is there to find her next big story.

Sam is so broody, swoon-worthy, and a gruff cowboy who happens to also be a famous country star. This story is steamy but cute! Sam is OBSESSED with Charlie in the best way and is quick to fall head over heels for her. If you love insta-love, contemporary cowboy romance, second chances, with a little bit of spice this is the book for you!

Tropes:

🤠 plus-size FMC
🤠 forced proximity
🤠 cowboy romance
🤠 insta-love
🤠 second chances

I got Seeking Sam as an ARC, and I'm glad I did. First in a series! YAY

I needed a bit of an easy, feel-good, smutty read after reading a couple of non-fic books and this was IT.

Charlotte is a woman at her wits' end. She's sure she's going to get fired from what was once her dream job as a reporter if she doesn't find the next story, so when she hears about the disappearing country star, she takes a leap. Unfortunately, she ends up in a flash flood in a rented Prius—or fortunately, because she's saved by that same country star!

Y'all, this book is hot. You can kind of guess where it went from here but I won't spoil it. Pick it up for an easy, sexy read!

Seeking Sam is steamy, and swoon worthy. This book gives you all the feels! It gives you loneliness, heartbreak, angry, sadness and love. When Charlotte floated ( literally) into Sam’s life the spark they both had was strong. Could literally feel the heat between the two right from the pages. I’m not even sure what to write this book left me speechless. I loved everything about it, even over protected hurt Phern but that’s what makes her great. She’s so supportive of Sam but she’s right there when she don’t trust. Love that Liam puts her in her place. Sam and Charlottes story is everything. One of my favorite country singing cowboy books hands down.

This book had me flipping through the pages, devouring every word. A news reporter desperate for a career saving story, a country music star cowboy who simply wishes to live a quiet life on his family's ranch. After Sam saves Charlotte from dangerous flood waters, she finds herself staying at his ranch until the storm passes and the weather clears up. During her stay, Charlotte and Sam grow close, heat rises, spikes fly, and feelings are caught. Plus sized FMC, country music singer/cowboy MMC, plenty of steamy spice!! This book was amazing!

This was just so sweet.
An easy read I finished in an evening, it made me smile, swoon a little and cry.
Was it pretty rushed/instalove, where I needed to completely suspend reality? Yes, but honestly, sometimes that’s a nice change.
A lovely dynamic between the main characters, a villain ex to hate, fun side characters I want to know more about, spice sprinkled throughout, a third act break up with a sweet HEA all came together for a really enjoyable read.
Really looking forward to the next one.

Oh my!! First it was hot, so hot and then i cryed like a baby, i cryed a lot!
This smalltown romance was truly a romance!
The spice was totally there, this had a lot of that! And when i started to think that it’s just spice and fast romance, my heart was ripped from my chest! It actually hurt so much! I yelled this book, it really got under my skin
But oh then came the romance you see in movies and i cryed again because i was so happy
And then i find out that there is gonna be second book! I can’t wait!
This author truly knows how to write, i am so grateful i got to read this!

Ok saddle up this is gonna be a doozy. This would have been a five star for me if it was dual pov. This book had two of my least favorite tropes, one being a baby, and Sarah Bale wrote it BEAUTIFULLY. This was such a feel good read until the last bit where I was RACING to read because I NEEDED to know what happened next. I know I said this but this is a feel good read so the plot is there but it is nothing wild, it is honestly more smut if I’m gonna keep it 100%. I NEED a man like Sam Stone. He worshipped the ground she walked on and YES SIRRRRR. Ok anyways I really liked this.

I really enjoyed Charolette and Sam's story. I went on an emotional roller coaster with this book because I was scared for her in the beginning, laughing, crying, frustrated, and rooting for Sam and Charolette the entire time. This is an easy 5 star read for me between the banter and the spice. Oh boy was the spice spicin'. I'm not going to go into details about this one either because it deserves a full reading experience. I hit a small reading slump in between May and June which is why this review is going up now. I can't wait for Leaving Liam.

This book was amazing from start to finish! I was hooked, edge of my seat, the entire time. I read this book in just a few hours it was that good, the romance, the yearning!!!! Omg the yearning the characters have for each other had my heart aching and me sobbing my heart out. This was the best small town romance I’ve ever read, it also has forced proximity, misunderstandings, second chances, and pregnancy.

I really enjoyed this book. Following Charlotte through so much had me anxious for what would happen. Charlie and Sam’s story goes from almost an instalove feel to this need to know where things will go. I loved how Charlotte handled things. She was such a fun character. The spine she found made me so happy. I am really excited to see what is to come with this series. I was thrilled to know there would be more to come!

Sarah Bale is in her cowboy era it seems and i am HERE FOR IT!!

I have loved all of Sarahs books that I’ve read so far and this is no exception!!

I was hooked from the first couple of pages. I loved watching Charolettes growth into her self and the love her and Sam share was EVERYTHING!!

The plot was plotting, the spice was SPICING!!

Would have loved to have gotten Sam’s pov but omg don’t let that stop you from reading this.

Can’t wait to see where this series goes!!

I could tell by the description this would be an instalove before reading it and I'm not always a fan of those. I really had a hard time feeling the relationship between Charlotte and Sam because all they did was have sex. (And I got a bit distracted by the constant use of "wrecked" in the sex scenes- he was wrecked, her panties were wrecked, etc.) I did enjoy the last third of the book but would have enjoyed it more if I had been able to connect better to the characters.

Small town, country, forced proximity, intsa love, and more!!!
This book had drama, bits of humor, all the feels, spice, romance, and love.

Charlotte and Sam made this story!
The chemistry was undeniable and the spice was so good. The attraction may have been instant, but the journey to their happy ending was the best part. Sure they faced some challenges and there were mistakes or misunderstandings. Regardless, they were meant to be.
I loved it!

I love a good cowboy, snow in, and second chance. This book was the thing I need right now. Charlotte aka Charlie is out trying to find the story that will save her career. Instead she needing to be saved from a storm by the same man she wants to write her story about country singer Sam Stone. This book was all about growth and learning to find love for the things you want. I can't wait for more in this world.

I wasn’t prepared for how much this story would pull at my heart. Charlotte’s fall from grace felt so real, and her drive to prove herself again made me root for her instantly. Sam’s quiet intensity and his complicated past gave the romance real weight. Their connection grew slowly but deeply, and the forced proximity added the perfect dose of tension. A few plot elements wrapped up a little quickly, but honestly? I didn’t mind. I stayed up late to finish it.

I received an ARC of this book. I enjoyed the characters especially Sam. I could totally picture him saying "darling" all sexy like. His sister made me mad throughout the whole book. I understand she has her own issues but she needs to stay in her lane. The ending felt a little rushed but all in all it was a cute book.

Quickie Review: I am not used to Mrs Bale writing a cowboy romance trope. But I knew after just a few pages in that I was absolutely going to be here for them all. Every. Single. One. Especially since I am in my Cowboy Romance era right now. And boy was I right. The romance was so steamy but let me tell you about the story. Complete sweetness. Sam will melt your little country lovin’ heart. Definitely not an agnsty story, and for that I was happy. I absolutely adored everything about this book!! 5 Stars.
