This weekend it's Jimmy's turn to take Patchy Pat, the class doll made by his teacher, home with him. Jimmy and his family take Patchy on a day trip to Nottingham, where they spend the day at the Robin Hood exhibition and dress up as characters from Sherwood Forest. But when they realize that Patchy Pat is no longer with them, they worry about what Mrs Khan will have to say on Monday.

This book tells about the child named Jimmy who has a turn to take a doll which named Patchy Pat from his teacher, his teacher let jimmy to take Patchy Pat on his adventure and he should tell his adventure story with Patchy Pat on Monday morning in the class.
Patch Pat is a doll which had a lot of adventure with another child who gets a turn to takes him. He ever had a few bad story because of that, and in this time, he feel so excited with Jimmy, because Jimmy have a really cares to him, even Patchy dressed with Robin Hood's outfit.
Jimmy and family bring Patchy Pat to perfect trip, he put Patchy on his bag. They're going to Nottingham, where the real Robin Hood lived. As long as a trip, Jimmy tried to write everything he saw. At Nottingham, they pass at Maid Marian way, it’s named after Robin Hood’s girlfriend. After that, they went to the Robin Hood’s coffee to lunch, Jimmy looks very hungry, and then he put his bag on the floor which is Patchy Pat inside. Suddenly, a big baby girl crawled across and spotted Patchy from behind. She put patchy out of Jimmy bag and bring Patchy to her Mom. Patchy was in terrible danger! Jimmy were too busy eating cakes, he was not realized it. After eating, Jimmy and family left the Café and they come straight to Robin Hood Centre. At that place, suddenly, Jimmy realized that Patchy has lost. Jimmy cried and cried, and they leave immediately to look for Patchy. Finally, Patchy was found at the café table where they had lunch.
This novel compiled with a good stories, it’s very interesting for me, I really excited to read it. I highly recommended this book for children learner to build their reading confidence as well, I swear they will be interested in this novel.
