So disappointed that this book didn't pick up where the last had finished. Stephanie was so tired of her job and even more uncommitted to Morelli and his big Italian family, but this book opens with Stephanie strolling into Vinny ' s bond office, business as usual, dropping by Morelli 's as usual. In fact, the whole book goes down as usual with her quirky misadventures, oddball characters, and pops of outrageous. This time it's feral chihuahuas and a monkey themed hotel in Atlantic City. I love these characters so much that I keep hanging on for some closure, but it just doesn't seem to be coming.

This isn't a fair review because I love all things Stephanie Plum. Listened to the audio of this while I was digging rocks out of our backyard. I think the neighbors must think I'm crazy because who laughs out loud while rock digging?!

Evanovich creates great characters in convincing mysteries. This one has enough twists and cliff hangers to please Agatha Christie. Characters stay true to their development in previous books. Again a delightful romp with Stephanie Plum, Lula her side kick Morelli and Ranger in New Jersey.

As always I love Stephanie and the Gang. I especially like the Fruit Basket Mafioso. LOL! Lula and Granny, Morrelli and Ranger. All solid characters. I am interested to see how the next one pans out. I am wishing she would revisit some of the old characters. Mooner was one of my Faves. And the guy who stripped down and greased himself in vasaline. I also miss the side books. Diesel is a Star that randomly showed up and his cousin Wolf. I miss those side books. A year is too long to wait. But a revisit of some of the best characters would be awesome!

“Top Secret Twenty-One" serves up another helping of classic Stephanie Plum. The familiar chaos of Trenton is in full swing, with Stephanie chasing down a bail jumper while dodging a professional assassin. Returning characters add to the fun, and the usual cast—Morelli, Ranger, and Lula—deliver their signature antics. It's a light, breezy read perfect for fans of the series, offering plenty of laughs and a satisfying dose of Plum-style mayhem.

It was really good, but not great. Janet Evanovich has a knack for humor and I enjoyed it alot. It was an easy read, but not a fast read because it just didn't hold my interest like others she has written.

I have enjoyed the Stephanie Plum series, I am currently reading her 25th in the series.
Whilst the series has been brilliant I am starting to become bored with it, same old same old. Time for Ms Plum to retire!

Randy Briggs, the short pain in the ass guy, is back being more annoying than ever.
This one's got Grandma Mazur going against Grandma Bella, Ranger against the Russians and, of course, countless chihuahua's to entertain.
Did I forget to add more firebombs blowing up cars & apartments?
