I want to say thank you Grey’s Promotions and Sydney Skye for gifting me this Arc.
The romance in this story is a forbidden love, fated mates, between prey and predator. The town of Wolf Creek is separated into sections based on their shifter species and each species has their own Alpha. There is a main Alpha who rules over the entire town, a bear shifter, who is a complete Alpha Asshole, and thinks he is better than everyone else.
Our FMC, Clover is a bunny shifter, daughter of the Alpha Bunny, who is under strict rules to stay away from the predator shifters. Her parents are very strict and want her to stay in the burrow.
Our MMC, Killian is an Alpha Mountain Lion shifter, who absolutely despises the Alpha Bear shifter. Killian is very protective and possessive and does not like how the Bear Alpha runs the town or the laws that he has set up. Killian does not believe that predators and prey should be separated. In fact, he believes that the predators should protect the prey.
During the story we have some mysteries that unfold. Prey shifters are disappearing and Killian and Clover work together to find out what is happening to them.
This was an enjoyable, cute, quick read. I really enjoyed Killian and Clover and their romance. Killian is a perfect book boyfriend with the "touch her and die" vibes. I also enjoyed the mysteries behind why the prey shifters were disappearing. I also want to add that I enjoyed reading a shifter book with lots of different shifter species from bears, wolves, and mountain lions, to rabbits, stags, and raccoons. This book does end with some unanswered questions, so I really hope we get book two soon!!

If you’re in the mood for a book that’s full of twists and turns, secrets and betrayals, a forbidden romance, characters you won’t be able to help falling in love with and an ending that’ll leave you wanting more than I highly recommend picking up a copy of This Love of Ours!!
I was hooked from page one! This was such an interesting take on shifters and fates mates as this time instead of the forbidden human shifter relationship we get a forbidden, fated mates romance between a predator shifter and a prey shifter. A pairing that is outlawed in their community, but when fate decides two souls are meant to be together, fate doesn’t care what a law happens to say! The romance in this book was great, the chemistry between Killian and Clover sparked right off the page, and that spark certainly upped the spice. Not to mention you can’t help but love these characters! Killian is an alpha who doesn’t just throw his weight around or abuse his title but instead wants to use his power as an alpha to make the community a better place and to protect those he loves. Especially Clover who is a sassy, tough, bunny shifter with just a hint of rebellion in her. Who just wants to find the place she belongs and keep the ones she sees as true family safe, and maybe if she’s lucky find the kind of love that makes her feel at home! And of course you’ll love the side characters!! All of that to say if you love characters that bring hilarious banter, swoony romance, and great personalities to a story then you’ll love both the main characters and side character in This Love of Ours!
Now I will say the one thing that I found hard to connect with this book was the pacing. It started off great but then there were more than a few moments where it seemed like things were kicking off and a twist had just left me guessing when things seemed to come to a screeching halt and I had to go back and reread and make sure I hadn’t missed something. Now the pacing didn’t take away how the plot of this story and the romance and characters in this story still made for an amazing read, it’s just one item I personally felt take me out of the story more than once.
Overall this story was a great read that I devoured in one night, and would recommend to any shifter romance fan!

We meet mountain lion shifter & bunny shifter as they are from opposite sides of town and it’s illegal for them to be together. There is only one problem…they don’t want to be apart. They feel drawn to each other? Could they be fated to be together??? As more Prey going missing, they is a hunt to find those in danger before it’s too late.
Overall, enjoyed the story. I loved the suspense element of the miss prey. I really liked the forbidden lovers story and how they hide their relationship.

This book was just not for me. Right from the start I couldn't get into it. I found the characters a bit shallow, and it was just not my kind of story. Half way in, I just gave up and dnf.

This Love of Ours had a premise that hooked me right away. A predator-prey romance, political tension in a supernatural town, and shifters of all kinds? Sign me up. But once I started reading, the excitement faded fast. What could have been a fun, immersive shifter romance turned into a frustrating, disjointed read.
First, the editing, or lack thereof, made this challenging to get through. Typos, wrong verb tenses, missing punctuation, random capitalization (Burrow vs. burrow), strange word choices, and sentences that went on forever. It felt like reading a first draft that skipped the editing stage completely.
Then there’s the world-building, or rather, the absence of it. We have witches, predator and prey shifters, vampires, and humans all living in Wolf Creek, but the book never tells us how this world works. What do these creatures have in common? What makes them different? How do they coexist? There’s a law stating that predators and prey cannot coexist, or they will be excommunicated. Yet, we never learn why this law exists, what it’s meant to protect, or what the punishment entails beyond “you lose the ward protections of the town.” The setting also feels like it was sketched in lightly and never colored in. There are predator mansions, prey neighborhoods, a mysterious “Burrow,” endless forests, and a hospital outside the wards, but nothing ever feels anchored or real.
The plot is just as scattered. We bounce from instant love between Clover and Killian, to a shifter trafficking network, to political power grabs, to multiple kidnappings. Entire threads are dropped mid-story, like the threatening note Clover receives that is never explained, or the underground circus that appears and disappears without much follow-up. The pacing is jerky, and significant moments are brushed past without the build-up or payoff they deserve.
And then there’s the romance, which is supposed to be the beating heart of the book. Clover and Killian are instantly obsessed with each other after one run through the forest and some very lackluster sex. Their bond is described as “fated” or “mated,” but it feels like nothing more than surface-level attraction. The pet names didn’t help. “Wildflower” and “Killer” landed more in the awkward category than in the swoony one. Worst of all, Killian’s supposed protectiveness is undermined by his actions. After showing up to rescue Clover from a life-or-death situation, he just leaves her there to deal with herself so he can take the villain back to his basement torture chamber. Romantic.
Clover reads like a stubborn, impulsive teenager, even though she’s supposed to be an adult. Killian has the title of alpha leader in waiting, but his decision-making is reckless, and his personality reads more small-town brawler than strategic leader. By the time the final confrontation rolled around, I didn’t buy their connection or care whether they ended up together.
I picked this up as an ARC from Grey’s Promotions because the blurb sounded promising. Unfortunately, this one required much more world-building, stronger plotting, and serious editing before it was ready for readers. I won’t be continuing the Wolf Creek Shifters series.

This is a quick easy small town shifter romance that ends on a cliffhanger and is well set up for the next book on the series.
Killian is the alpha mountain lion shifter in the town of Wolf Creek. His secret fated mates is Clover the daughter of the alpha bunny shifter. The town is governed by the predators under the corrupt leadership of an Ursa shifter. In this town prey and predator are forbidden to intermingle. Killian and Clover set out to break the outdated law as they race against the clock to discover why prey shifters have been disappearing from the community.
The ending of this book was the highlight for me. It was well written and had my attention. The rest of the book did have some pacing and cohesion issues. I really wanted more depth to the plot. This is a very romance forward read with instant connection and spice. Personally, I would have enjoyed a more balanced read with cohesion in the writing. If you enjoy a small town shifter romance with a plethora of species and fated mates with an instant bond this book could be for you.

I loved the dynamic of predator and prey being fated mates. The town of Wolf Creek is separated into sections based on their shifter species. Ruled over by a bear shifter who believes he deserves the power but didn’t earn it and takes advantage of the weaker shifters.
Clover is a bunny shifter who wants more from life. She feels stuck being limited by what she is. The only time she feels free is when she is running in the forest.
Killian is an Alpha mountain lion shifter, he protects his territory and his people from anyone who threatens them.
This story is plot based with a few twist along the way. Prey shifters are disappearing. Killian and Clover both believe something more is going on, especially when two of their closest friends/family disappear.
The chemistry between the characters was very believable. I enjoyed seeing them find comfort within each other and support. This was an enjoyable and quick read. There was a lot of growth within the story.

This book had me hooked right from the start. It’s fast-paced, intense, and delivers a darker, more emotional take on the fated mates trope—especially with the predator/prey dynamic between shifters. I wasn’t expecting the level of tension and high stakes, and I couldn’t put it down.
Clover is a bunny shifter stuck under strict rules and expectations in a town where prey are taught to stay quiet and hidden. But she’s ready to fight for more. Her journey from soft, rule-following girl to strong, independent FMC was so satisfying to watch. She didn’t let anyone choose for her—and I loved that about her.
Killian, a mountain lion shifter and unofficial protector of his found family, is 100% alpha energy. Fierce, loyal, and completely gone for Clover. He’s trying to keep his people safe while navigating the chaos of a broken hierarchy and the disappearance of prey shifters.

This Love of Ours is a fast read about two shifters who make a seemingly unlikely couple. Clover is a bunny shifter who wants just a little more than what’s being currently afforded to her in Wolf Creek. As a prey shifter, there’s always a bit more danger to those who can be easily hunted. When she catches the attention of Killian, an alpha and mountain lion shifter, things get a bit more complicated and far more interesting since he’s a predator shifter.
One of the things I found really interesting is that while this is a shifter romance, there are small town elements to it. As someone who usually reads them as two separate genres, it was really fun seeing them come together as one text. The combination also made the story more intriguing as it really helps set up the characters and their interactions.

i will say i normally see and read wolf shifter books so this was a nice change of pace with a bunny x mountain lion shifter. never thought i would see that as a pair either but i kind of think that made it better.
i really liked the dynamics and chemistry between clover and killian. clover was such a sweet and sassy character and i love how she would give killian some attitude (made certain scenes even better 🤭).
if you are like me and want a quick, fun and a little spicy shifter romance then you should give this one a read when it comes out.

*First I would like to thank the author for the ARC. This is just my opinion and not a reflection on how others enjoy this book*
2.5⭐️ Just not for me. I probably should have DNF this book to not bring the ratings down, but I have yet to DNF. I just have to know how things end. That’s a flaw of mine for sure and I’m sorry.
Being in my thirties, it’s harder for me to connect to younger characters. While the FMC Clover is 28, she gave more 16-17 vibes to me. There were some inconsistencies as well that took me out of the moment. Another few rounds of editing I’m sure would fix that easily.
This is a very quick read. If you’re young, interested in small town, insta love, shifter romance, fated mates, forbidden romance, cat and mouse, this book could be for you!

WOW! Lost for words! This book took me on a rollercoaster ride! Clover is a bada** without being too much, she’s relatable. And Killian!! Oh be still my heart this shifter of a man and mountain lion has got me feeling things! Though he is a typical man when it comes to holding everything on his shoulders 😂🙄 And yeah - WE HATE URSA!!!! I smiled, I got mad, I was shocked, I was sad, and I blushed. What are you doing not reading this yet?!

This Love of Ours was a sweet and engaging start to the Wolf Creek Shifters series. I read the ARC as an ebook, and while there were a few moments that felt slightly clunky, the story has so much potential, and I’m excited to see how the world and characters grow in future books.
The story follows Clover and Killian, and I really enjoyed exploring the power dynamics between Prey and Predator shifters. Their relationship was adorable, with plenty of heartwarming moments. I also loved the forbidden element of their romance—laws that forbid fraternization between groups always add a layer of tension—and the mystery surrounding the disappearing Prey shifters kept me intrigued.
I didn’t have any set expectations going in, but this was a quick, light read that left me curious to see what comes next for Clover, Killian, and the Wolf Creek Shifters world.

This Love of Ours is the first book that I have read by Sydney Sky. I love reading shifter books, and the tropes and plot were compelling to me.
This is the story of Killian (MMC) and Clover (MFC). This book had a different spin instead of fated mates and shifters this was about a forbidden mate and a shifter. This was against the law. However, that did not stop the romance between Killian and Clover. The chemistry between them is 🔥🔥🔥. Killian is the alpha shifter, and Clover is the bunny shifter. Clover is trying to figure out where she belongs and her found family. There is great banter, good supporting characters, and lots of drama in this book.
I enjoyed this book.

This was such a cute, easy-to-read shifter romance!
A lion shifter and a bunny shifter? That alone had me curious — and then throw in the forbidden mates trope and I was fully invested.
And that cover ♥️
The chemistry between the characters was sweet with just enough spice, and the “we’re not supposed to be together but fate says otherwise” vibe gave me exactly what I wanted. The pacing was quick, the plot easy to follow, and it had some political intrigue.
Perfect for fans of light shifter romance with a touch of forbidden love and a protective MMC who doesn’t understand why he’s suddenly obsessed with the woman he just saved. 🐇🦁

This was one of those books I could not stop reading. You become immersed in Wolf Creek, the predator/prey dynamic and the small town feel of the story. Fated mates, Clover a rabbit shifter and Killian a Montain Lion shifter, break laws and defy all odds as they work together to end the separation between predator and prey shifters and return Wolf Creek to what it used to be. The only thing standing in their way is the Ursa’s alpha, and he's not going down with out a fight...and then some. This books leaves you craving part 2!

I love seeing a Bunny shifter, although my brain definitely defaulted to like a velveteen pet rabbit for some reason. 😂 Clover is so sweet and tenacious, I can't wait to see more of her. And I hope she keeps giving Killian all the attitude - it's better when she does. 👀
I love me a possessive man - still catch me wishing Killian had torn Matt's head off after his little stunt. I definitely have some feelings of where I think the next book is going to go with what happened at the end, and I am SO excited.

So good! This is the first novel I have read by this author, but it won't be my last. This novel did not disappoint. I love a good paranormal fated mates novel. This novel checked so many boxes for me. From the first couple chapters this novel pulled me in. It kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was coming next. I loved the chemistry between the forbidden lovers. So good! Once I started reading I had a hard time putting this novel down. I needed to know what was coming next with all the twists and turns. So good! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So good!

This one pulled me in right away. The world was super interesting, especially with the whole predator prey dynamic it added so much tension and emotion to the romance.
The chemistry between the main characters was instant and really fun to read, and I loved how they balanced each other out. He’s strong and protective without being over-the-top, and she’s sweet but definitely not a pushover.
The side characters brought a lot of charm and personality too, and there were so many little moments that made me smile. It had a great mix of action, heart, and romance that made it hard to put down.

The fantasy shifter trope got me to want to read this novel by Sydney Skye. Being well versed in the fantasy romance novel, I enjoyed the characters and the world development Sydney built in this novel. The spice in this novel is a 2.5 out of 5, and much more plot forward then I personally enjoy, but the novel did end on a small cliffhanger. It left a lot of unanswered questions that I hope will develop in a next novel to the series. I want to be a shifter after reading this novel. I would recommend it to annoy one who loves Zodiac Academy type reads.

This love of ours by @squidney_skye was one of my first ever shifters books, and I am glad it was. The link between Killian and Clover is one of true love. And something neither of them say coming. I love it when an author can do spicy scenes but also have a plot to follow as well. This plot had me flipping the pages to find out what would happen next. I am looking forward to the next book and what makes me wish it was already here. If you are new to shifter reads or just looking for something new, this book should be added to your tbr.

The chemistry was strong and the world had promise, but some of the emotional beats felt rushed, and Clover’s character could’ve used more depth. Still, if you like forbidden love, danger, and broody alpha energy, this one’s worth checking out.

This is definitely not a cozy romance. Besides some spicy wooing there’s some shady stuff going on in Wolf Creek. Okay first and foremost, this was a good time! Not only was this a shifter romance, but there was a good story line in the mix. I love that there were other types of shifters outside of the normal realm of wolves or dragons. Clover and Killian were both great characters. Clover felt trapped and unfulfilled. Perfect combination with Killian...traumatic past and broody vibes. We love a good fated mate, touch her and die!
