Thirty-something Penny Carson is the textbook example of a broken woman who’s running away from childhood neglect and trauma. Yes, Penny has gotten a bad start to life, but that doesn’t mean that she has to let brokenness define her forever. With just a smidgen of faith and a dash of courage, Penny begins the long road to healing, one shaky step at a time. When a God-fearing brotha with a heart of gold enters the picture, Penny is sure he isn’t going to be interested in someone with a past as checkered as hers. But God is in the blessing business, so it won’t be long before Penny understands that her Heavenly Father is willing to give even the once broken the desires of their hearts, love included.
A wonderful story of how your broken pieces can be put back together to something beautiful When childhood trauma spills over into adulthood it impacts your life and decisions you make But God… Another great one Nikki continue to let God lead you as you write these inspirational stories They bless me and if you are reading this review this story will bless you and give you hope if you need it
So, so, sweet! I absolutely loved Penny and Vaughn's love story. I recommend reading this book, but only after reading (Beyond Brokenness Book 1). The only thing better than having a godly man is being equally yoked with the godly man God has for you, and Penny found that out herself.
Happy that Penny find her worth and love. Glad that the author provided Penny’s backstory otherwise, it would have been extremely difficult to like her-even a little. All I could say to myself about the story and about life is “hurt people, hurt people”. It would be interesting to have known that Penny apologized to so many people for her mean, hurtful and bullying ways.
The author wrote an engaging story that emphasizes God's love and ability to fill the emptiness of our lives. I loved the line, " I met God recently, not found God " He is NOT lost, I was! The story concerning, "sugar baby" was similar to another book.🤔🤔
