A strange glowing light, an ominous green mist, and deadly secrets unearthed – chased by the military, a woman races against time to save her family and expose the truth.
A calm, peaceful night for Sarah Maine and her family turns sinister as swirling tendrils of a mysterious green vapor descend over the valley. Terrified when her husband doesn’t return from work, Sarah desperately begins searching for him in the hills outside London – and instead discovers a lethal conspiracy.
An engaging and fast-paced thriller, Eileen Thornton’s The Trojan Project follows Sarah as she finds herself embroiled in a military pursuit, a chemical weapons coverup, and a frameup that puts her family in mortal danger. As she attempts to separate truth from falsehood, she realizes that no one is quite what they seem – but will she find a way to evade treachery from all sides in time to save her family?
Since beginning a comprehensive writing course with The Writers Bureau in 2001, my articles and short stories have been published in a variety of magazines. These include Heritage, Scottish Field, The Lady and People’s Friend. In 2005 a couple of my short stories were included in two quite different anthologies. The first story was in an International Anthology, published in June, while the second appeared in Café Ole – Too Hot To Handle, which was launched in Glasgow during August.
My debut novel, The Trojan Project, an action thriller, was published at the end of May 2008 by Austin & Macauley Publishers Ltd. Now my novel is to be re-published in the USA later this year with a brand new cover. Details of my novel can be found on my website. www.eileenthornton.co.uk I also review books for newbooks a bi-monthly magazine informing the public of new books on the shelves.

When I read the synopsis for this book and immersed myself in the first few chapters I was looking forward to an intense thriller. It started off really well as far as the plot goes for a number of chapters.
At a specific point I started to find the plot became a bit unbelievable, that's the nature of fiction a lot of the time. There are a few good stand out scenes that had me fixated then other scenes where I felt less would be more with descriptions of events.
It's terribly hard to do this review without spoilers and it's for those who enjoy a bit of a thriller with a damaged character twist thrown in. I loved that it's set in the North East of England but I'm biased as it's my home turf.
I do think the plot could be tightened up in some places, things like long sections that describe a short event but with too much wording to keep the buzz or the thrill intact. Then again other scenes are great and can give you the chills thinking "what if?"
I finished the book happily but do feel a good Editor might have worked some magic here and there. I think it's a book that is very readable and know many reviews rate it highly. I felt by far the strongest character in the book was Pete, he was certainly the most tangible to me.
3 stars from me for The Trojan Project, a book that had me left with mixed feelings overall. I'd be keen to read more books from this author for sure.
Obviously I can't review my own book! But I would like to say that I had a rollercoaster ride while writing it. I definitely put everything I could into the action and was quite breathless when I finally reached the end of the story. I hope you enjoy reading The Trojan Project as much as I did while putting it together.
The Trojan Project by Eileen Thornton is a terrific thriller that had me gasping for breath. The author has done an outstanding job creating one of the best conspiracy thrillers I have ever read. It is The X-Files multiplied by a million. The quality of the writing is superb, the pace is perfect and the story is so believable and well laid out. Set in the north of England farming community and London, The Trojan Project grabs the reader from page one with an unnatural disaster so terrifying it actually gave me nightmares. This is a superlative "What If" scenario of the highest order that never relents throughout and this reader was simply swept away by the author's brilliance at upping the ante with each chapter. Sarah and her children survive the disaster but she is shocked to discover her whole community dead or dying of horrific injuries that defy logic and understanding. She goes for help and this is where the thrills race off at breakneck speed as something far more evil arrives in her small town. Sarah is beside herself not knowing what has happened to her husband Pete and is desperate to find him, but sinister forces are at work to stop her at every turn. And there are so many twists and turns to keep avid readers of thrillers gripping this book with white knuckles. So without a doubt this FIVE STAR conspiracy thriller is very highly recommended and a must read for all lovers of conspiracies.
This is an interesting story written by an author whose other books I have enjoyed. Readers are taken into this mystery when they meet Sarah, a woman who is afraid when her husband doesn't return home. Told Pete is dead, Sarah doesn't believe it, but the search for her husband is going to take her to places she never thought possible. This story has an intense feel about it and takes readers to a place they may not have thought possible. Well written tale by a great author.
Creepy, eerie, fast paced action. Loved the main characters. Very well written. And a great stand-alone story! The way I like them best. Science fiction yes, but without "aliens" or critters. It's just we "humans" causing all the horror in this tale. You really find yourself rooting for the Mom, her kids and the Police constable that took a chance and helped her out.
Sarah was born and raised in London, she had her pick from men of fine standing, so when Pete, a farmer, swept her off her feet in a whirlwind romance, some people were less than impressed. And some of Pete's friends were less than pleased with his choice of wife. But none of that matters now. Strange lights and mist heralded a danger never imagined. With her husband is missing, and the terrible aftereffects witnessed, she has no choice but to take her children and flee, praying her husband is safe, but fearing the worst. Someone wants to cover up the truth. Sarah and her children are forced to flee in fear of their lives. The military are closing in,with one simple instructions, the truth cannot get out. No one can know what happened.
A thrilling and suspenseful tale written in an engrossing narrative. If you're looking for conspiracy, twists, and dark themes then this book will be sure to grab your attention while developing a cast of interesting characters.
"The Trojan Project" by Eileen Thornton is an amazing thriller. It starts out as a mystery about Pete, Sarah's farmer husband not returning home but then turns into a much sinister plot about an accident in a chemical plant, involving military operations and governmental cover up. Told cleverly with some flashbacks and separative narratives we learn about the husband and wife and a former love rival. What follows is a fast paced and nail biting thriller as witnesses and survivors are being hunted. Gripping, palatable and very enjoyable.
When I got on Amazon to write my five-star review, I was appalled at the bad reviews. I don't recall noticing the bad ones when I was there before. There are many good reviews, but the few bad ones are too many. This is one of the best books I've read the past couple years and to see all the bad reviews, I'm shocked. I enjoyed the book very much. When you choose whether or not to read this book, remember there are bad readers too. I don't think I'm one of them. When I say this book is worth five stars, anyone else who reads it should give it at least four stars...no less...I don't care how good or bad a reader you are. The story is powerful and deserves only a good review.
Now, with that said, I first saw the cover of this book last year and knew that I would read it one day. I had no idea what the Trojan Project was or how good the story might be, only that I was drawn to the cover. Over the past months, I learned more about the author and read a couple of the reviews. I purchased the book and it sat on my TBR list for quite a while.
Finally, the book came up to read. I immediately was drawn into the story from the first page. Page after page I read and did not want to put the book down, but I had no choice. The story did not escape my memory and I was drawn back again and again to finish the book. I had to know what would happen. I read the book from cover to cover in a week, which is very fast for me. That alone should attest to the powerful nature of the story.
The story is suspenseful and the characters are described well as were their surroundings. I felt I knew all the main characters. As Sara, Andy, and the kids made a mad dash to London, I felt as if I were there with them. I found myself tense with every close call. And Pete and Josh? They were quite lucky. I won’t spoil it for you. You’ll need to read it for yourself.
This story is easy to read and hard to put down. I am pleased to give the story five stars and I highly recommend it to anyone, young and old, man or woman alike.
The Trojan Project By Eileen Thornton Stand where you are and listen to the stillness. Do you hear anything? Do you hear the rustling of the trees, the cattle or sheep moving? Do you see anyone out there while looking down from the top of the mountain? Now, look up into the sky and out into the distance. Do you see that green light? Don’t get too close and find shelter before it is too late? The light appears in the night sky above the Cheviots. A mist begins to fall and covers the hills, valleys and more, what caused this light to appear and who or what is behind it?
What if the government in a lab unknown to the world created a chemical weapon that could wipe out millions of people in one shot? What would happen if the safeguards that were in place to prevent the container that housed this chemical imploded because someone wanted it to? What if someone disconnected the safeguards and incriminated its creator? What if this happened and those in charge decided to eliminate those who might have witnessed what happened that fateful night when a green light and mist appeared overhead and destroyed the fields, killed many animals and literally ate away the flesh and being of those who came in contact with it? What would you have? THE TROJAN PROJECT! The Beginning: Witnesses
Sally is concerned that her husband Pete has not returned home after tending to the sheep. Sally is supposed to spend an evening with her friends but when one of children becomes ill she changes her plans and stays home. Trying to contact Pete is impossible and knowing that he would never be late or shirk his responsibilities as a father or husband Sally becomes frantic and realizes that something is wrong. Added to that she contacts many of her friends and neighbors to learn that some of the other husbands are missing too. The next morning she tried to contact her neighbors and all she got on her phone was static and her calls went unanswered.
Sensing that something is seriously wrong and having seen the green light and the mist that covered the valley, Sarah sets out with her children to find answers and to search for Pete. But, what she finds is so horrific that only a master writer like Eileen Thornton can create the suspense and intrigue that causes the reader not to be able to put down this thought provoking and bone chilling book. As she travels down the road she finds her husband’s friend Dave who has been hit by this green light and mist and is about to die but not before telling her what he thinks is the fate of her husband, Pete. Dave also warns her not to get too close to him or touch him or what the author describes will happen to her. Necrotizing fasciitis is a flesh eating disease that will destroy your body and eat away your flesh. Imagine Sarah’s reaction when she encounters Dave and she sees what could be this bacterial virus or something with the same result eating away at her friend’s body.
Who or what is behind this she needs to know? But, finding out will not only prove dangerous but is Dave the only one who died from this or are there others? Is Pete really gone or does fate play a hand in what does happen to him and others? Knowing that she needed help and someone to find out the answers with her she entered the police station only to find Constable Andy Simmonds who seems skeptical and finds her account of what happened not quite believable. But when his superior shows up and listens to her account of what happened and who was a victim of this flesh eating entity, he immediately goes into the valley in search of answers and to see if her story is credible. Added to that her daughter Josie shows them a picture of the green light and the mist in a drawing she saw from his window the night before. What the police see and realize will frighten anyone. It would make you weary of any bright light in the sky and afraid of going in search of answers if this could be the end result. But, the worst has yet to come.
Eileen Thornton’s descriptions of what happens to these victims are not only graphic but create a mental picture in the mind of the reader. Through Sally the reader can feel the fear, the intense feeling of agitation and anxiety caused when you know that there is imminent danger. Chills will go right down your spine and you might even want to read this with someone else. What happens next? When Sally, Andy and her children start searching for the truth you will not believe what they encounter. Is the military really going to destroy everyone that knows what happened and why? Who in the government engineered this explosion and why? The truth will make you pause and think twice about your friends and more. Two brave people making their way to London hoping Sally’s father can help make sense of this nightmare. But, what he tells them will forever cast doubts in her mind about her father’s involvement in the horrific event and whether he was truly responsible for what happened or was he being framed? A project so dangerous that he placed safeguards on it and made sure that no one could change or unlock them. A project so volatile that he took every precaution to make sure that it would not be tested until he was sure it was safe. But, someone wanted more and revenge is not pretty and this causer of death and destruction would not stop he had the one person he wanted under his power. Who this is and who is responsible? You will have to read for yourself. What part does her father, Sir Charles play in this matter and what really did happen to her husband and his friend Josh? Not until you turn the page of this fast paced, frightening and true to life novel will you find out the answers.
Final Curtain This is a novel of love, passion, hate, revenge and loyalty. It is about a woman who wanted answers and would risk it all to get them. When everything is said and done you will not believe what happens and the real reason behind what happened. A simple explosion- a chemical weapon meant to destroy and target one area and one group of people- but the best-laid murders are not always what you would hope them to be. How far would you go to save the life of those you love? The final curtain is more like a final revelation where all is finally out in the open and everything is revealed. Who solves what really happened and who survives? What happens will make you stop and think about whether this could and is really happening as we read and speak? First time novelist Eileen Thornton I give this book Five Safe Trojan Projects and Five Sir Charles Hammonds to make sure nothing goes wrong.
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER REVIEWED. A MUST READ FOR ALL READERS
Sarah and Peter are happily married and live on a farm. One day while Peter was away working, Sarah saw an eerie green ball of light that turned into a green fog. The fog swept over the valley beneath her home stopping short of her farmland nearby. Later she discovers the effects of the green mist and the story takes off from there.
The Trojan Project is a novel about love, obsession, government cover-ups and unlikely heroes. It is a well-written, exciting and entertaining novel. I was hooked from the beginning and had a difficult time putting it down. The main characters are well developed and likable. You will love to hate the villain, who’s obsessive, delusional, and a bit over-the-top, but I didn’t mind. I was very entertained from start to finish.
If you enjoy exciting page-turners, sci-fi, adventure, thriller, and romance you will love this book.
The Trojan Project by Eileen Thornton A peaceful farming community is suddenly victimized by a gruesome attack. How could anyone survive? The Trojan Project will appeal to conspiracy theorists as well as action and mystery fans. I found myself cheering for the protagonists and loathing the antagonists, just the way it should be. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an adventure in reading!
Sarah's adventures are thrilling, suspenseful and engaging. What's really enjoyable, however, is the author's style, which is both natural and masterful. The mysteious power of words is deeply explored. The characters are realistic and relatable. Overall, quite a pleasure to read.
The basis of this tale is a very insightful one, given the times that we live in & the release of a deadly chemical weapon in the Northumbrian countryside is a promising storyline. The author has created bold characters and sets the scene perfectly, weaving her way in and out of chapters with practised expertise. However, a predictable villain & heavy dialogue found me floundering towards the end. Saying that, I enjoyed the author's style & have already purchased one of her murder mystery books.
The Trojan Project - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat
'A strange light appears in the night sky above the Cherviots. A mist descends, shrouding the hills and valleys. Is it a natural phenomenon or something more sinister?'
Sarah had planned to be at a friends house for the night and her two daughters were to stay with a neighbor until her husband Pete returned to pick them up. He and three of his field workers had gone up to Top Meadow to check on Pete's sheep herd. But, unknown to Pete, his daughter Jose came down with a sore throat and Sarah decided to stay home with her children.
Sarah had tried to call Pete to tell him that she was with the children but couldn't get through. The only sound coming through her cell phone was static. Apparently the hills were blocking the signal. Sarah wasn't that concerned knowing that Laura would tell Pete that the kids were with her at home. But as the hours passed, Sarah started to worry about Pete absence. It was getting late and he always called when knew he would be delayed. As she stood outside their home watching for his headlights to come up the road, she noticed a strange light hovering over the valley. As the light died out a green mist rolled in. Fear rose in Sarah as she stood watching. Everything was so still and quiet. Nothing was moving, not even the cows in the field. As Sarah's fears increased she went in to check on her sleeping daughters. They had slept through the whole phenomenon but to ease some of her worry and fear she decided to spend the night in their room. Surely, by the time morning came, Pete would be in their own room sound asleep.
The next morning Pete was still missing. Sarah phoned her friends and neighbor in hopes that someone would know something about, not just Pete, but also the lights from the night before. But her calls were unanswered. In hopes of finding someone to ease her fears for Pete, she loads the girls into her car and headed down to the valley. She hadn't gone far when she runs across Dave. Dave had been with Pete the day before and informs her that Pete, as well as everyone else from the valley, is dead. While telling her his story, Sarah started noticing that his flesh was melting from his body. His dying words to her is a warning to not touch anything nor anyone.
In Sarah's attempt to find someone to help her and explain what has happened she drives to the next town to speak with the police there. Andy, the young constable on duty, actually believes she has lost her mind as she describes what she has seen. But when his superior comes in and hears about the death of Dave, who is one of his best friends, he heads to the valley to check it out for himself. As Sarah and Andy wait for his return, the military show up with full protective suits and weapons. And when they asked for Sarah by name, something tells Andy that he should take Sarah's story seriously. He also fears for her safety with these men and tells the Sergeant that Sarah had gone back to her home and that the woman and children there with him are his own wife and kids. As the military unit leaves, he convinces Sarah that their life in in danger and they must leave immediately before they come back.
Follow Sarah and Andy as they are chased by the military all the way to London. See what happens when two unexpected people show up in London after surviving the light and mist. And find out exactly what The Trojan Project really is, who created it and why.
When I was a child, my family moved to Utah. I remember two nights that a neighbor came to warn us of the lights in the sky. The first night she knocked on our door around midnight. She was yelling and crying, trying to tell us there was a burning ball of light in the sky. The next night she came to tell us there was a burning rod of fire in the sky. Both nights we all went outside to see these lights for ourselves. And both nights we saw exactly what she saw. I can remember being scared but I couldn't take my eyes off the lights as they moved across the sky. Later we were told the lights were experimental air crafts being tested by the military. I never really believed that story, but after reading The Trojan Project, I think I believe it now .
Great book. It will make you stop and wonder what really goes on behind our backs and how much is covered up forever.
Anxiously waiting for her husband to come home one evening, Sarah witnesses a strange event, a big glowing green ball of light and then a green mist rolling across the valley below her home. In the morning, when her husband still hasn’t returned, Sarah heads down to the valley searching for her husband. What she finds is horrific and puts her on the run for her life. Where is her husband? Who is behind the event? As stated in some prior reviews, the plot is pretty thin. There are no surprises or plot twists. But because of the suspenseful writing and drama, I found the story engaging enough that I was drawn along until the end. The best part was in the cave with Pete and Josh while they tried to find their way out by following the sheep. And with the mixture of an abundance of rich characters throughout the story, it kept the reading fresh. We all know someone who talks endlessly about nothing. Sigh!! I thought the end was fitting with Colin the lorry driver. He, who never has an adventure. It’s also terrifying to think there might be a country with this type of weapon in their arsenal. Shudder!! And here is what takes away from the story. There’s a mannerism that Thornton uses excessively as a sign of frustration or anger. It became annoying. I can see one person doing it as a habit, but not every character. It’s the slamming of fists or hands on desks, tables and steering wheels. I also found a handful of proofreading errors. I recommend this book for a suspenseful romp through the English countryside and parts of London. I give my 4 feathers.
Having received this book during a free giveaway, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting into, but I was instantly drawn into the plot and the characters. Set in a small town in England, we get to know Sarah, a housewife who witnesses something that she shouldn't have and finds herself and her children in danger because of it.
For the sake of spoilers, I can't say much else about the plot, but it was unique and thrilling! I have never read anything like this before, and I had a hard time putting it down. My only small complaint was that one of the most exciting events happened so near the start of the book that I felt a bit of a letdown as we made our way to the ending. I still loved every moment of it, but starting with such a bang made it difficult for the climax of the book to impact me as much.
Still I loved this book. The characters were easily lovable and I was rooting for them the whole time. The villain, although for me a bit too evil, was an interesting antagonist as well, and I was curious to find out more about everyone as the book went on.
I recommend this story to any fans of thrillers or mysteries. It was a great read and I would definitely pick up another book by this author.
Right from the first page this book engulfs you in a sense of mystery and dread. One night Sarah Maine witnesses green lights in the sky and a glowing green mist engulfs the valley below. The next day Sarah makes a horrifying discovery, that plunges Sarah and her two young children in a desperate race to escape from a murderous government coverup. Helped by a young policeman, she battles to stay alive. All the while she has to wonder if her husband is still alive as he has disappeared. The story races from one suspenseful scene to another with a truly satisfying conclusion.
A Chilling Tale The Trojan Project is a pacey thriller very reminiscent of the sci-fi stories from the fifties. A chemical weapon is deliberately unleashed - so begins a race to escape a military with orders to kill any possible survivors, and to get the story to the media and to unmask the perpetrator.
Even though I couldn't get pass the fact on why anyone would want to put their hands in an unknown substance that was once human is beyond me but the book was fascinating. Because of sleep I had to take a break a few time. All the close calls the characters went through were a little overly lucky but the story itself is great. Nice finish for the truck driver Colin.
I read this book having no idea what to expect but I was gripped right from the start. It is a fast-paced action thriller and it is keeps you turning the page until the end. It is nice to read thrillers that are based in the UK and this works really well. I'm looking forward to the sequel...
Eileen Thornton catches action and character and maintains interest in a story of madness, deception and political intrigue. She has a heart-warming faith in the general goodness of most people, without which the story could never reach its positive conclusion.
I shall not be finishing this book; it is so annoying. I'm not even a third of the way through and already the plot is so unbelievable. A PM ordering the army to kill civilians! really!! A Secretary of State with an American title! really!! All the American spelling keeps throwing one out of the plot. This is a failure of one of three things or should that be, of all three. First, there is the writer, who is English, writing a novel set in England, so should have used English spelling. [Perhaps her spellchecker was set to American spelling!!]. Second, the proofreader failed. He/She should have noticed all the American spellings and lastly, the publisher failed, for allowing these errors to continue. However, if the purpose of the book were to annoy the reader with all these Americanisms then the book has succeeded beyond its great expectations. Additionally, the writer also has incomplete knowledge of subject and object in relation to sentence construction. "You would have been safe at the police station in Wooler, if you hadn't put yourself in danger by escorting the children and I down here." "I" is subject [nominative], and "me" is object [accusative]. Thus, in this sentence, the "I" pronoun should be "me" as the subject of the sentence is "you". It should read: You would have been safe at the police station in Wooler, if you hadn't put yourself in danger by escorting the children and me down here." I just wonder how this text got past proofreaders?
2.5 stars, rounded up. The plot is so great, but the story just becomes too hopelessly illogical halfway through. I always complain when other reviewers expect fiction to be realistic; it's fiction, after all. But the plot should at least be internally consistent, or make sense, or be logical, pick your term. And the second half of this book lacks that big time.
For example, the ramming of the much larger military vehicle without damaging their smaller one, the use of a credit card without being traced, the arrival at the parents' surveilled house without being picked up by the military and government who had by then chased them all over the country, the ease with which she was talked out of going to the media even though her life depended on it, the details of Rick's scheme, the non-existent safety measures at the lab that allow visitors to handle lethal material, clothes shopping in the middle of catastrophic life-and-death events, the BBC scenes, etc. etc.
A good editor should have demanded that the author change all that stuff to allow the story to make sense. Maybe it can work as a book for primary school children, although they might be traumatised by the deaths. The stars are for the first half, the good plot idea, and great bits of suspense throughout.
I enjoyed this books significantly and can't help but wish it was longer. Maybe delving deeper into the reasons behind the creation and even naming of Trojan, last ditch efforts to remain in power, why an old power station was chosen to be a facility, what else Robert had done to stay in power and why Charles would've went along with it. It also doesn't entirely make sense to me how nothing managed to get out at all because of the deaths, surely they had friends and family who would be concerned. Honestly it's mainly a feel good story because after the first few chapters nothing really goes wrong for the main characters, sometimes it felt too easy and that others went along with them faster than expected. All the central characters are quite likeable but to be honest I don't think the book would've been that different without Irene, Josh and the children which I think has more to do with the limited amount of time we as the reader spend with them or the lack of complexity to their actions. This is not a book I would typically read but it's a fun, easy and predictable one that keeps you waiting for confirmation of your theories.

This is a very interesting read. It started off a bit on the slow side, but by the middle of the read, it became a story that was difficult for me to put down. I wanted to know what happened to Sarah and her kids after they escaped the disaster area and the soldiers with the help of Andy.
I wanted to know what happened to Pete, Sarah’s husband. Was he dead as Dave said, or could he, by some miracle, still be alive? Sarah continues to believe that he is alive.
From the very beginning, Rich had shown signs of someone not to be trusted. Would he kill all those people just to get back at Charles, Sarah’s father, and her family for marrying off Sarah to Pete instead of him? This story is the classical example of “the evil that men do always comes back to haunt them.”
Yes, this is a great story, with little flaws here and there. I hope the author continues to fine tune it.
This book starts with a bang and continues from there. One man has released a deadly weapon on a rural community. The Army special forces are sent to mop up the evidence and silence anyone still living. The still living consists of two adults and two children fleeing for safety on back roads. Another two adults are a day behind them. Will they make it through the countryside to safety or be silenced by a very efficient army. The man who manipulated everything plans more murders, but you will need to read this fast-paced book filled with tension and twists and turns to find out for yourself. A great read.
Well this book had me gripped from the first chapter. Thornton has a superbly written book that lovers of mystery/drama/scifi and more would love. Corruption all the to prime minister! Page after page brought new twists and turns more puzzling than what was just read. How could one sinister man be this evil and devoted to his own wants and glories? The evil is balanced with warmth and love.
See above. I will corrwct this when next on my pc. Sorry about this but soon corrected later today for sure.
On a quiet, dark night, a green mist descends across the valley. The next day, Sarah's husband has yet to return home from his work up on the farm hill, so she sets out to find him. She had seen the green mist and wondered about it. The idea of this story is great but after a few chapters it begins to drag along and became boring. It could have been better edited to keep readers captivated instead of inserting some non-relevant, rather funny, scenes.
Setting in a farming community and London , a chemical warfare, and no antidote. Sara see the strange light and with her children and a police officer she is running to London. With unbelieving by many will she make it, or is a personal thing just for her. Have read other books by author and this too is a winner. You are there, settings and what are happening is real and close. A definite read, enjoyed the narration by audio also.
