Sometimes sugar isn’t so sweet and secrets can be deadly...especially with matters of the heart.
Sienna’s bestie, Harper warned her not to intern for famous bad boy artist, Casper Mason. After all, he just fired Harper who helped Sienna get the interview. But the moment Sienna sees Casper—or Caz—sweaty, practically shirtless and swinging from chains as he works on his sculpture, she’s hooked. He’s the richest, hottest artist in New York, and he lives in the fabulous Williamsburg Sugar Factory. But he’s also an incorrigible game-player, who seems to relish testing Sienna’s loyalty with a string of unsettling tests.
She knows she should get away fast. But by the time Sienna sneaks into his locked storage room and begins to unearth his dark and terrifying secret, she’s fallen way too hard for the handsome, charismatic Caz.

The Characters
Sienna is a up and coming artist who takes an internship that her friend Harper recommends her for. She is an OCD type of person that does things neat and orderly. Caz, on the other hand, is an eccentric and moody famous artist who works with sugar (So cool). He does things in a crazy out of control way, completely different from how Sienna lived her life. Together Sienna and Caz are perfect. He shows her that the best way to live isn't always neat and orderly and Sienna calms the crazy that is Caz.

My Thoughts
This was a really good book! I loved the relationship that Sienna and Caz had. It was crazy and fun and full of secrets that had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room in frustration because I just wanted to know! My emotions were all over the place while reading Sienna and Caz's story and I couldn't put the book down. My only problem was that I wanted to know more about Sienna's past. I feel like it was only skimmed over and mentioned a few times. I loved how she helped Caz move past his secrets and how she supported him. I didn't particularly like how she found out what his secrets were but she redeemed herself later in the book.

Would I Recommend? Yes. Recommended for anyone who wants to read about a crazy artist who can be a jerk at times but is sweet and makes your heart melt.

DNF @ 63%

It's been happening a lot lately - me DNF books or not rating the books i've read - but I swear to God it's not because I'm lazy!!! Is it really my fault that most of the books I've read in the past few weeks had me feeling like this??------>

Maybe I'm going through an "it's-not-you-it's-me" phase???

I will back my decision to not finish this one up though...

So this book is about... what was her name?? ah yes, Sienna (i looked it up) a young artist who decides to work with famous, eccentric artist Casper Mason (aka Caz) despite her best friend's warnings that he's a crazy, unprofessional weirdo.

The storyline was intriguing enough - that's why i decided to R&R this - but as i started reading it i had a lot of issues and most of them had to do with character development...

Caz is supposed to be this intriguing, mysterious, moody but hot artist but i didn't get that at all. Instead he was acting kind of juvenile and all sorts of weird in a non sexy way...

Sienna was dating another guy in the beginning, Erik, who was in Europe for business at the time. So what does she do? She kisses Caz, then breaks up with Erik via skype and the next day she sleeps with Caz. I don't mind cheating in my reads but this didn't feel like cheating; it felt like a methodical way of writing in an attempt to spice things up...

When did i give up reading this? When Sienna, after only one week of being with Caz, made these two questions in her internal monologue:

"Does he really love me? Can he love anyone?"

Please keep in mind that Caz hadn't even said the L word to her yet...

When a 147 page book feels like it's endless, then you know that it's probably not the book for you...

Secrets. Caz has a big one. Games, tricks and tests. Caz is good at that. Moody. Caz was a roller coaster. Art. His job and by the end, he made pieces I loved reading about.

Sienna and Caz both have their quirks. They both are artist and they both hide things from each other. As the story goes along, they both push each other to be better artists and help each other work out some issues.

This story mainly focused on the main couple, art and the feelings that they share for each other. At times I felt like Caz was a man-child and I wasn't a fan of Sienna. I had a hard time connecting to the main characters, though I did feel more for them when Caz's secret was revealed. I liked how Sienna helped in that area. I think that even though they may have seemed like a catastrophe together, they were able to make the other better in the long run.

So, even though I didn't love this story, I didn't hate it either. The story itself was a great idea. I just wish I had a better connection to it and that the conversations and characters felt more real.

My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Disclaimers: I received an e-galley of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review.

The Characters:
Sienna is an aspiring artist in New York who had just landed an internship with the famous artist Cas, but her friend just got fired. She warned her that Cas isn't all that he seems and that's he hiding something. She decides to find out what that secret is.

As a character, I liked Sienna well enough, but she just didn't really stand out to me. I didn't hate her and I didn't love her. She was well-developed though and I thought she was a fairly strong female character.

Cas is a character that's more complicated. He is this mystery. He's a jerk who may not be a jerk. At the beginning, he just seemed like this big playboy, but he grows on you throughout the story.

I for one didn't quite see Sienna and Cas together as much as I wanted to. However, in the end they seemed to be doing okay together. I just wasn't rooting for them.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions:I thought the novel had a lot of potential. I enjoyed the overall idea and plot. I thought the characters were well-written and yet I just never felt completely sucked into the story. I found myself waiting for something big to happen and I just felt like it never came.

The novel is enjoyable and I'm glad I read it; however, it just lacked that something to make it stick out to me. I guess it's because the relationship between Cas and Sienna just didn't quite ring true for me.

However, it was still a pretty enjoyable read.

So why 3 stars? It was good; it just didn't stand out to me.

Can I read the series out of order? I have not read the first in the series. I think this one can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Warnings/Side-notes: It is definitely New Adult; however, it's not all that graphic.

The Wrap-up: An enjoyable book but one that just didn't quite grip me. Still I'd recommend it for fans of books about art or people who don't mind if there isn't a compelling romance.

Love,

* I was given this book for an honest review*

The book is about this girl Sienna who goes against her best friend’s wishes and applies for an internship with a locally famous artist Caz, who just so happen to recently fire her friend.

Sienna is instantly intrigued by Caz’s eccentric and mysterious characteristics and the fact that she can see he’s placed this wall up and all Sienna wants to do is break down that wall and see the man behind it.

I am always a sucker for a romantic book that features a troubled soul and even more of a sucker when that troubled soul is a man. This book was well written in the fact that I was so thrown off my Caz’s character that I found myself not wanting to put the book down just so I could find out what exactly his issue is.

It’s hard for me to not give anything away so I will try. You don’t spend half the book waiting for Sienna to get close to Caz and fall in love which is awesome. I always have a hard time when you read a book where the whole book is the chase and the end of the book is a big bomb dropped where they finally get together and he tells all his deepest darkest secrets and then it ends. This book definitely doesn’t do that! Sienna and Caz fall for each other pretty much right away in this book, and you spend the rest of the book trying to figure out Caz.

My criticism for this book is how much Caz changed completely when his secret was let out. I didn’t feel much growth rather than an instant change in character and it almost made it harder for me to relate to Caz. That being said, I found myself literally in tears at the end when Charles meets Ella’s mom. Wow, I had such a hard time getting through that part.

Overall I really did enjoy this book!

Harper and Sienna are best friends and nothing can come between them or is there ? When Harper recommends Sienna for an internship, they have dreams of working side by side but what will happen when Harper is fired, the day Sienna is supposed to start work and warns Sienna about going. Casper Mason is the artist and a bit of a recluse and eclectic. He also has a thing for sugar and turned up out of the blue, there is no recollection of his life prior to his art. Who is Casper really ? As Sienna starts, she's not quite sure what to make of Casper as it seems his whole life is revolved around game playing and Sienna isn't one to stoop down a level and she definitely doesn't mind speaking up. As the story goes on, we see sparks fly between Casper and Sienna, but of course Sienna is taken with Eric - whom we met in Model Position. Who will Sienna choose ? What will happen when Sienna discovers the truth about Casper , will she throw herself at him to keep her job or will she be different and quit and tell him the truth of who he hides ? As Casper finally met someone who can see behind his facade ? Find out in Private Internship which turns out to be more than a NA Romance and moves to something deeper and moving/ heartbreaking in parts. Whereas Model Position was more light compared to Private Internship.

This novella is the sequel to Model Position. Which I didn't realize until after I read this. I even have it on my kindle! I was able to read this as a standalone without any issues. However, I may have liked it more had a started with MP.
I loved every word of this! When Sienna begins her internship working for the hot, rich Caz Mason, who happens to be a major player, I knew sparks were about to fly. They definitely did! Sienna was a fantastic female lead. She was a strong, driven woman. I liked that she wasn't going to take Caz's games. Then Caz...MMmmm. If only I could find a guy like that for myself. He is rich and super sexy but he's caring and fun. And really just perfect for Sienna. This was great fun to read.

I haven't read the first book in the Art of Love series, but that didn't seem to hinder this book at all, to me. In Private Internship, we have Sienna who is a digital artist looking for some cash by doing an internship for the famous and reclusive Casper Mason. Sienna really has no idea what she's stepping into. Casper, or Caz, is extremely eccentric. He enjoys 'testing' people. Through the front that Caz puts out, there's a dark and devastating past he wants no one to know about. Sienna has her own secrets that she wants to be left hidden. I loved how the story flowed. Caz was certainly a hunk of a man....in my imagination, at least. Sienna and Caz together was especially something that was just meant to happen. I have officially fallen in love with their story!

I was a little apprehensive going into this book. Being the second book, I naturally thought to start off with the first. However, I am a sappy romantic and am always in favor of a solid happily ever after. So, I chose not to read the first book as it revolves around another relationship. I don’t want to end a romance novel thinking that my HEA was a temporary situation. IN the end, I was glad I made that choice. I get very attached to the characters I read about and I would have had a much harder time accepting Sienna’s choice to break it off with Erik.
Let me first say, this book surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. It’s not very long, so it was a fast paced read. The story moves along at good pace, not rushed, but getting to the peaks and valleys of the plot in a very straightforward way.
I adored Caz/Charles. It’s so clear, from the very first moment that he is tortured by something. Something that is eroding him from the inside, poisoning his very being. He lets the darkness seep out and spill onto those around him with his rude and angry behavior. However, for some reason, Sienna is able to reach him, almost immediately. It was like she was a balm to his wounded soul. As his softer, more playful side emerged, he just got sexier and sexier. Without a spoiler, let me just say, the ending is beautiful. He was truly hiding a beautiful soul and a complete romantic underneath his gruff exterior.

I have to admit, Sienna was a bit annoying to me at times. Not all of the time, and not for consistent periods. However, it lasted thought the whole of the book, those moments where I rolled my eyes and thought, “grow up, would you?” Despite those times, I liked Sienna. She fought so hard not to tear into Caz and force him to open up to her. In the end, I probably would have given into the temptation to snoop as well. She had fun qualities that helped endear her to me, just as they were doing to Caz. I appreciated how open she was to Caz’s critique of her art, and the willingness to break out of her shell and better her art. As usual, I felt the heroine clung to her twisted illusions of needing “space” and time to figure things out. When the sweet hero sends you texts about how much he misses you and his heart is breaking, and that he wants to tell you everything. You don’t tell him “I’ll think about it!!”
There is plenty of heat burning up the sheets. Their attraction makes for some steamy scenes! Their relationship really does grow in a smooth forward motion, the events seeming to take a natural course.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Even those moments of annoyance at Sienna were pretty easy to overlook. The story is heartbreaking and sweet all at the same time. If you’re looking for a quick read and feel good romance, I’d recommend this book.

Kitsy Clare started this love story with Model Position. We get the first look at Sienna’s love story with Erik. Now is Private Internship Sienna is out of college and looking to get an internship. Her best friend, Harper, gets her an interview with the famous artist that she is currently interning with. Now we follow Sienna as she navigates a relationship with a man that has secrets he is desperate to keep.

Sienna and Harper thought it would be fun to internship together. Never mind it is with a good looking famous artist but he also pays really well. When Harper gets fired for sneaking around a locked room Harper begs Sienna not to take the job. Sienna doesn’t listen. When she gets there she is immediately tested and keeps getting tested until something changes. Sienna starts to fall in love with Caz. Desperate to figure out his past she breaks into the same locked room.

Sienna was a fun character. She didn’t let anyone walk all over her. She gave Caz a piece of her mind whenever it was deserved. She didn’t let him visibly intimidate her even if inside she was intimidated. Sienna was also pretty funny. She had a great sense of humor and she knew how to have fun. She also has her own issues that she is trying to overcome. Sienna suffers from OCD because of her past and now her art is suffering as well.

Casper Mason is famous. He is god looking, arrogant, and playful. Caz likes to play games and test the different interns that come into his studio. Until Sienna walks in and calls him on his games. There is something different about her and Caz is determined to find out what it was. Caz was a great hero. He was suffering and temperamental but you could tell there was something more going on. He had a sweet, caring, swoon-worthy sign that we saw peeks of until the end.

Each character in this story has their own problems and issues that they need to overcome. Sienna, Caz, and even Harper. Private Internship follows Sienna and Caz as they help each other become better people. Helping each other to stop hiding and move on in their life and their art. Kitsy Clare creates a story that was easy to read. The story was well written and the flow was prefect. Kitsy created characters that actually grow in the book. They go through an emotional growth by themselves and as a couple. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers!

I was pleasantly surprised by Private Internship by Kitsy Clare and would recommend it as a quick romantic read with some genuine, serious moments. It is the second book in a series, and even though I had not read the first, I found this book easy to follow. I would recommend however, reading the first book first, as I believe the first book could be better enjoyed being read first, rather than after the second book. To be honest, the beginning few pages set off some of some alarms and I was concerned that it might be over the top in plot, characters, drama, and setting. There is a touch of that, but I finished reading pretty well satisfied that they all had their place in this book, the degree of each aspect was about right. For me, I found the writing style very easy to read. Private Internship is a short read, and in places I could see how the story might be fuller and more satisfying if it had been expanded fifty pages or so. Additionally, deeper character development could have been done. For the length, the author did a solid job or wrapping up my major questions. The book had heart to it and was worth reading. The major problem I had with it was some of the overly risky situations that the characters put themselves in. For example, and this will not spoil the plot, I could not stand when the main character Sienna continuously rode with her friend who is an awful and dangerous driver. It was just annoying and undermined my respect for the main character.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

(Read this review and more at Pretty Bookmarks)

I really loved the first book Model Position. If you’ve read my review you’ll know that I found this to be one of the better New Adult books in the market.

And in similar fashion, Private Internship does not disappoint.

When I first started Private Internship, I wasn’t sure if I was going to love it. I fell in love with Model Position and Sienna’s relationship with Erik. So when things began blossoming between Sienna and her boss, I wanted so badly to hate it. I hated Sienna for ruining a perfectly wonderful relationship. But I realised I couldn’t — the more I turned the pages, the more I wanted to root for Sienna and Caz.

There’s something about Caz and the quirky way he is that makes me both love and hate him. He’s annoying, but he’s such a sweetheart to Sienna that you can almost overlook all his annoying ways.

Admittedly, Private Internship ended up being even more enjoyable than Model Position. The mystery surrounding Caz and his past was incredibly enjoyable and it kept me guessing to the end. Just like Model Position, Private Internship had more depth to it and it was more than just about romance and sex, but it dug deep into Caz’s past and his recovery. Personally, I felt that Private Internship had a better story, but Model Position was certainly more charming and romantic.

I would recommend for you to pick up both Model Position and Private Internship as they’re both really good fast-paced books. This duology is a series, with recurring characters but they are two completely different books so you can still choose to read one without the other.

Private Internship is the second novel In An Art of Love. This is an incredible story about love finding you when you weren't even looking, secrets from the past, forgiveness, friendships, second chances and of course Art.
Harper recommended Sienna for an internship with the infamous artist Casper Mason. Harper is terminated. Why did Casper give her the slip?
Casper is a surprisingly, unique, eccentric character. He is constantly playing games with his intern Sienna.
Erik, is across the ocean in Europe doing a line of gallery shows.
On a dark stormy (out of all nights Halloween)night Caz and Sienna are trapped in the Caz Castle (old sugar factory where he presently resides and works). Power outage occurs and must bid their time. Candles are lit. In an attempt to find a way to keep occupied Sienna pulls out the Tarot cards and what do they reveal? Who is Casper Mason? What secrets is he concealing? Has he found the person who is going to emotionally break him?

“It’s absurd to think that a person from the past could affect my art so much.” He snorts. “Absolutely 100 percent ridiculous.”

“Connections are everything.”

Characters our well written and intertwine into the story. Author skillfully describes each characters personal emotional transition throughout the storyline. A fast paced read without losing any of the key elements. Magnificent ending without cliffhanger. If you enjoy a sweet, sassy, sexy romantic story this is the perfect story.

I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for a review for the blog tour

I did not read the first book in the series "model position" but will get to it in December. Luckily you don't have to read the first one to understand this one so it is a perfect stand alone.

Sienna is in need of a job, she is so desperate that she will even work for the evil man that just fired her best friend. She is determent woman and nothing and no one will walk over her. Sienna is faced for a difficult decision, I think most woman had to make a choice like that one time in their life.

Caz has a dark past, and the only way to keep people away from his heart is to be mean. He likes his games. But it all change when Sienna stand up against him and show him how to love again.

"I see why he likes games. I forgot how much fun they can be."

In the beginning of the book I was confused like hell with the sugar factory and all those things.

I do have to say as the book progress you see how the sugar factory and Caz obsession with sugars places into this. This off course gives the book a total fresh perspective.

"do it for you, too. Use it, Charles. Use it"

Private Internship is a feel good love story with twist and turns along the way. The sex scenes is written perfect and is perfect for someone who doesn't like their books full of steam.

Love does conque all and in the end their love brings thems stronger together.

Be prepared to be swept away into the glamourous world of modern art.
Meet "Sienna Karr, ornery, slightly rebellious and definitely flawed" an artist that is looking for a well paid internship. She has her demons from her childhood and works hard to hide her OCD. Sienna is feisty and doesn't take any crap although she really needs a break. Sienna has strong morals and is a very likeable character. Throughout the pages we learn why she has her hang ups and why she is the way she is. She battles her anxieties and tries to tap into her inner strength to become the artist she is destined to be.

Casper Mason is the hottest artist in town, crafting modern art pieces from spun sugar. His work is snapped up for millions and he is an enigma. Nothing on Google and just a fairy tale story surrounding his rise in the glittering world of art. He captures Sienna from the very first moment and something undeniable builds between them. He too has something hidden in his past and he shuts everyone out. Can Sienna break down the walls and unleash the truth?

This is an easy read with plot twists and hot hot sex scenes that are well written,"His hungry gaze slides down to my mouth. Yes, he's hungry. He can't hide that with games. His sensual, needy energy is so intense, I swear he could devour me - all of this before we've even grazed lips."

This is a must read for anyone who likes a steamy read...4 stars!

Wonderful read. Caz acts like a jackass to save himself from the guilt and pain from the past. He keeps people away so that he doesn’t have to burden them with himself. Sienna is trying to figure out where she stands in the art world and her own. The two meet and are attracted. Sienna his new intern becomes enthralled and aggravated by him. Yet they are attracted like moths to flame.

Each with problems, each trying to navigate their way. When around Sienna, Caz finds himself to be a better person who is free from the shackles of his past. He helps Sienna grow as a artist. Gets her to expand herself and learn what her art is.

these two together help each other see a different side to each other. Apart Caz consumes himself in his guilt and lets it be his beacon. Sienna would be stunted in her art and herself. She doesn’t learn to see that it is okay to not have everything in neat boxes.

This is the story of their finding happiness within themselves and with each other. How Caz releases himself of guilt from something he did in the past that wasn’t in his control with the help of Sienna. Of how Sienna grows and learns to love with the help of Caz. How each has their art become more due to the others support and love. A story of their love and how it helps them heal and grow. A beautiful story of forgiveness and moving forward and finding this way due to the love and support of another.

Sienna's best friend warned her not to take the internship with Casper Mason. He might be a famous artist, but he's beyond eccentric. Sienna needs the money, though, and surely the gorgeous Caz can't be that bad. His games test her right away, but she doesn't frighten off easily. Sienna's not only determined to make the internship work, she finds she's falling hard for her hot boss. The problem is Caz has a dark secret locked away. One that could destroy everything between them.

I loved Kitsy Clare's first book, Model Position. Private Internship was even better! It was a little darker, more mysterious, and a whole lot hotter. Not only was it well-written and fun, but the peek into the art world made it stand out from other books in the genre.

The biggest hook for me was Casper Mason, the sizzling Caz! He had me right away when we're first introduced to him hanging upside-down prepping his work. He lives in an old sugar factory and makes art from sugar. I do love his opinion of sugar too! Caz is mysterious, playful, and charismatic. He also has a big dark secret looming over him. Just like Sienna, I was dying to know what it was, and I had no idea until it was revealed. It was brilliant! What a many layered man Caz is, and it only makes him sexier.

I definitely recommend Kitsy Clare's books to NA and romance readers.

Private Internship is in Art of Love series. There is a previous novella in the series, Model Position. I was told you didn't have to read Model Position first to understand Private Internship and you don't. Model Position is a short read so I decided to read it first. I highly recommend you read Model Position first. In Model Position you get a sense of how Sienna is. Sienna is a great character. She is caring and honest. She wants to further her art career but does not use people to get there.

Sienna takes an internship for a famous artist named Casper or Caz for short. Her best friend Harper, tells her not to take the internship because she was just fired by Caz. Sienna doesn't listen to Harper and takes the position anyways. That cause a little tension in their friendship.

Caz seems closed off and dedicated to his work. I loved reading hoe Sienna and Caz's relationship emerges. It was great to see Caz let down his walls and have fun. Caz has a secret. He has a locked room and when Sienna goes in it, she finds out about some of his secret. Caz secret was one I have never read in a book before. The secret is not good but it's unique.

3.5 stars. This was a mostly fun read, with an unexpectedly serious twist towards the end. Sienna’s an interesting enough heroine as she tries to get to grips with Caz’s frequent personality shifts. I liked that she wouldn’t stand for his stupid tests and wasn’t afraid to stand up to him. As for Caz, I couldn’t decide whether I liked him or not. He’s too capricious for me, bouncing from one extreme to the other. And yet, towards the end, I liked him more and more, while Sienna was the one I started losing patience with. The whole Bluebeard scenario didn’t help, because of Sienna’s utterly selfish reaction.

And yet there are touches of truly endearing sweetness here, as well as plenty of fun bits, and the whole sugar art was great. True, I thought Sienna’s OCD was a little too convenient in the way it came and went, and she shows a staggering lack of support and compassion towards the end when she bullies helps Caz to face one of his fears, but for the most part this was fun.

Art, romance and lots and lots of sugar, this was an easy read with a touch of real emotion towards the end. Pleasantly sweet.

I read Model Position, also by Kitsy Clare, and loved it. So it wasn't a tough decision to read this book also. The reader is totally immersed in the world of art and New York. I love when an author sweeps me into the setting. The MC, Sienna, is awesome! She is strong, independent, and speaks her mind - sometimes. This book was steamy - that, of course, was no surprise. The connection between the MC and love interest developed at a natural, normal pace and didn't feel rushed by the author. I know this was a novella and couldn't fully follow all the plot points to a firm conclusion but I wanted more...not that there wasn't a satisfying ending...there was. I just want more of the characters. I guess that is a good thing - to want more of the story. I'd love to see this book adapted into a full length novel - it would be awesome. There is much more drama in this novella than in the last and it really stuck with me.

Highly recommended for those who love romance!

I didn't know what to expect from this book because I had never read anything by Kitsy Clare before. This was a really quick read for me, took about a night and a half to finish it. And, I honestly really enjoyed it.

I liked Sienna instantly, she went after what she wanted even though it was not something her best friend approved of. I also loved how she didn't take any crap from Caz. I liked how the author made you feel what they were feeling, and I loved that Sienna wasn't a weak female lead.

There were a few things that irritated me, like how quick she jumped into bed with Caz after ending things with her long term boyfriend. I felt like his character was sort of an afterthought. And I didn't like that she just spilled the beans about Caz's secret to Harper.

All in all I would totally read another book from this author and recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance books with a little twist.

“Private Internship” and its prequel “Model Position” are both upbeat romance books with artsy flair. “Private Internship” can certainly be read as a standalone. As I love art, I particularly enjoyed the many looks into the art world though it may seem a little “out there” to those who are familiar with it. Sienna is relatable character and Caz is the enigma to be figured out. Throughout the book, we see their relationship bloom as they navigate twist and turns working through their pasts. Overall, this was a great steamy read with just enough intrigue to keep you engaged to the end!

Warning: Repeated sexual content

Sienna is a pretty art major who is interning for Casper, a famous and attractive sculptor.
Casper is a somewhat closed off artist who creates quirky sugar art sculptures. His quirkiness is a facade for and underlying secret that plagues his soul. When
Sienna interviews then accepts an internship with Casper, she discovers her attraction to him is reciprocated. The commonality of their
relationship is that each completes and aides one another in fighting their own personal demons. It's a sweet story about finding love, moving on and building a career. Minimal angst and a few low simmer scenes as well. The author is seemingly fluent in the art world, creating a flowing and interesting read.

Sienna takes an internship working with Casper Mason. Caz is a well known artist who works with sugar. He has made his mark on the art world much like Sienna hopes to do. When she starts to work with him Caz constantly tests her. When she not only passes his test but gives him hell for his constant games he finds himself attracted to her. The more time they spend together the more they are drawn to each other. The problem is they are both keeping secrets from each other.

Why I liked this book. It was dark and moody. They both had issues they had to get through before they could have a chance to have a solid relationship. While they managed to do that they still had a long way to go before they were on solid ground. They were both very much flawed and yet together they worked.

I was given this book to read for an honest review and let me just say I love this book! Such a heart felt story. Sienna is a very strong character and I love her. I love her honesty and her openness. I have not read Model Position and I'm not sure I will. I worry that it will change my opinion of Sienna and I really don't want to like Erik.

If you read romance for the silly way the characters don't open up or that they do the stupid things to screw things up you'll not enjoy this book. This a well written book that cuts thru the bs and they deal with life. I started reading this book and did not put it down till I was done.

Great Job Kitsy Clare...look forward to more from you!

Private Internship (Art of Love #2) by Kitsy Clare

Private Internship by Kitsy Clare is her full-length sequel to Model Positions (see my review). Unlike some sequels, this one doesn't disappoint. Clare ratchets up the fun when fledgling artist Sienna starts interning for famous bad-boy artist Caz Mason in his gigantic, crumbling, sugar factory studio/home/den of secrets. With layered characters, great hooks and enough tension to keep the pages turning, Private Internship adds up to an edgy, romantic read. I loved it!

This is the sequel to Model Positions (as most of you know.) Sienna, the main female in this book, because interning for Caz Martin, a hot and famous artist/bad boy.

I fell in love with the characters just like I did in Model Positions. Sienna had me cracking up, in tears and smiling. There was a little bit of everything in this book and I really enjoyed reading it. It was very well written and was not disappointed by any of the characters :) My favorite though had to be Caz Martin, because who doesn't love a bad boy?

This story is about a girl, Sienna who goes to work for the supposedly mysterious, mean, and rude artist, Caz. The story line was different...in a good way. I love how the author correlated the art factor in with their own individual personality traits.

Sienna....I did not connect with her at all. She was supposed to be this strong heroine but really she was very insecure...without clear cause. She made assumptions about her boyfriend at the time. She had only known Caz a short amount of time but yet she demanded to know his deepest, darkest secrets from the start? And then when he didnt "let her in" she went behind his back...and then made assumptions about what she found out. Sienna made more mistakes with Caz than Caz made with her but yet, he was the one who had to beg her forgiveness. Caz on the other hand, I loved him. I loved how he was weird and quirky, I loved his games, and his childish personality. I only wish he would have called Sienna out on what she did and what she assumed. His personality change at the very end was too drastic, too soon, and it definitely took away from his main personality, the mysterious one.

This review was extremely hard for me because i liked the book and the story line. It was just missing that 'It' factor which i am chalking it up to Character development.

I can't say I loved this book but I didn't hate it either. It was just okay for me. I didn't really feel a connection between them until about 80% into the book but maybe it was written that way so I would sympathize with Sienna wanting to feel a deeper connection as she did. After finding Caz's secret, the story starts to pick up but it never leaves me breathless or yearning. Even the sex scenes were a little stale. So, great idea just not great execution.

~RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW~

What secrets can one person hold.. What could be the worst secret that you would never want to have exposed... Find out what Casper is hiding that Sienna is trying to find. Will it all be uncovered, who will it hurt the most, what comes out of the dark into the light? I wasn't sure when I first started reading this book how I would feel, but once I settled down and got into I was like WOW, this took off into a better read than I first thought!
