Sidney Welch is a seer, her visions coming in her dreams. Even though she can't control it and can't usually explain it, Sidney knows that when she sees something, she can count on it to be real. Which is why she can't explain this most recent vision, when she is taken captive by a beautiful vampire.
After all, vampires aren't real.
Solange Casper, senior partner for Casper and Associates, suddenly becomes all too real after Sidney's vision, and when sparks fly between them, Sidney decides to pursue them, come what may.
This is a novel of 79,000 words and is continued in Seer: Thrall.
A writer by avocation, Robin has a renaissance interest in many areas. A bit of a gypsy, Robin has called a few places home and has traveled widely. A love of the outdoors, animals in general and experimenting with world cuisines, Robin and partner share their home with a menagerie of pets and guests, although sometimes it is difficult to discern who is whom.
This is the first book of two and seems to merely represent the introduction to the story. There is a lot of effort to create and define the characters, which I appreciate, however, it seems that the character development exists in situations that rarely ever advance the plot of the story. An editor was sorely needed. The construction of the story was interesting, but in the end, failed to generate any sense of suspense. So, overall, it is a fairly conflict-less description of a lesbian love affair with a whopper cliff hanger at the end. Since I have Kindle-Unlimited, I have moved on the the second book, hoping that there is a little more editing and plotting.
Hated the ending! Too dark. They could never recover from this. Sidney could never forgive her. I would never forgive her. I know some convoluted solution will happen, but it is unrealistic.
It was all going very well until Sidney couldn’t get pass her dreams. I love the love affair between the two…Sidney and Solange. I haven’t made up my mind about how I feel about Aubree just yet or where Dolores truly fits in at this point. Her presence still leaves a puzzle for me. Is she just a friend or more? She feels like more.
Why would a seer be able to fall in love and feel comfort with Solange if Solange was a danger to her? I have no idea how this will all turn out. But if Solange is anything like Carissa…either looking into her eyes will make Sidney forget all about her or a portion of their lives together or she will place Sidney in her “thrall.” If she places Sidney under her “thrall” that will change their relationship drastically and it will no longer be the same and voluntary.
I can’t read the next one in the series to find out for sure.
This author doesn't do this often but this book will make you yearn for the next one to be published. I liked everything about it. I suggest buying this one
