This book was full of adventure. There was so much happening. I was drawn into the plot right away. There was a cute little animal companion (Onyx) I didn't expect to like as much as I did. Plenty of banter and swoony scenes in a no spice romance. It was a fun read. Nova and Flynn were so cute.

Two things I love are billionaire romances and romantasy. This book is an excellent combination of the two genres! It takes place in a modern world where vampires, shifters and mages live secretly among humans. The FMC is a terrified woman on the run from her past. She starts rebuilding her life and making friends, but who can she really trust? There is a war going on among the supernatural and, if she is not careful, she may just find herself in the middle of it. Although a lot of your questions will be answered in this book, you will be left wanting more! I will be begging to be a an ARC reader for the next book in order to read it as soon as possible.

This book is phenomenal! It's my first by this author and definitely won't be my last!
It's got such a good mix of slow everyday life moments that really help you connect to the characters and the story, as well as having lots of suspense and action. All tied up with a sweet, swoon worthy romance. And it starts off in one of my favorite ways, where your put right in the middle of the story and things have already happened that put them in not so good situations and you learn their back story as you go, I LOVE when it's like that. It hooks me to the story-line, makes me invested, and wonder constantly at what happened to make them this way.
The author put so much detail into this story, like with world building, its an urban city but with fictional places that I can very easily imagine from her descriptions. Like through the FMC's eyes she noticed a lot and so even her just walking down the street it's like I was right there with her, could see what she sees in a way, whether it's buildings, or people around her, the weather, it was all so well done. As well as how their magic system works and the different species. It's your usual type, werewolves, vampires and fae, but she added her own spin to how their magic works, how they shift, and how their own "government" within the magic world works, and it's so well explained not leaving me confused or questioning at all.
Now, the main plot is amazing! Nova (the FMC) has had to deal with a lot and it isn't over yet! Like I said we get some small everyday life details, like making friends, finding a job, working, interactions with many, lovable side characters, her struggles with being able to survive with little to no money, things like that and I loved every small moment. But then you have the big moments, fights, conspiracies coming to light, attacks, her becoming a vigilante, her fighting for her life, secrets unveiled, hidden identities discovered, and so much more! Many plot twists that will surprise you too, I promise! Though this book really isn't that long I feel like so much gets covered and happens it's insane, and I am here for it!
Nova, deals with a lot of anxiety and PTSD, she lives in constant fear and guilt from her past. But she is also incredibly strong and brave. She has a huge, caring heart, though trust does not come easy. She loves animals and has a deep connection with them. She is half human, half vampire, or at least she thinks so ;) She struggles to fit in, find work, and stay in one place long. But throughout she finds friendship, learns to open up, trust, and heal. Things aren't easy but slowly get better. She fights for those who can't, is very giving, and compassionate. But she is ashamed of who she is, and struggles with acceptance of herself a lot, and worry of what others think. I absolutely love her character, she is amazing and grows so much, but it's a slow process and I enjoyed that fact it wasn't an overnight fix. She can kick butt but also just needs a hug and someone to love her. Such a good mixture of strength and brokenness.
Flynn, the MMC, oh how I love him! He is the sweetest, gentleman werewolf ever! Though he wears a suit and tie well at his corporate job he can also rough it at home on a farm. He sees straight through Nova's walls and breaks them down piece by piece. His heart is full of love and he will do anything for those he cares about. He has his own trust issues and past regrets and pain, but he is full of wisdom and strength from having to go through it and shares that with Nova. He is charming, flirty, witty, not afraid to fight to protect others, loves to give and has a soft spot for animals as well. He is honestly just the best, such a sweetheart.
I adore their romance, it was slow at first as they had hurdles to overcome. But it's so sweet and cute to read, full of banter, quirkiness, healing, growing, and sharing of secrets. They grow so much together, and I very much was rooting for it. The love story is wholesome and feels real, not rushed or forced, but very much felt and deep, at least I feel this way.
And not gonna lie for days after finishing this book I would think to myself "oh I want to go read and figure out what happens next" only to remember that I had finished it already 😔 so needless to say I am so ready and excited for the next book!! And please read this book it is amazing and perfect I promise!

What in interesting story! I was really intrigued by the description and enjoyed seeing the world that was created. This is the first in a new paranormal/urban fantasy series.
I will admit, I had a bit of trouble getting into the story. It felt a bit like that I was thrown into the world and I did not understand immediately what was going on. I was a bit taken out of the world because I did not feel connected.
Poor Nova! I did feel for her, She had so much going on. However, I had trouble connecting with her. I think it may have just been the amount of movement within the story. Nova had a trouble settling anywhere,( for good reason!), but her POV felt a bit one note for me. She felt a bit fractured and at times wishy-washy. Honestly, while it made sense for her character it was just not very compelling for me personally. However, by the end of the story I did want to see more of her story.
I enjoyed getting to know the other characters across the story as well. Onyx was adorable and so lively. I loved the interactions she had with Nova. Sarah was a lot of fun! I loved her energy and spunk. Flynn was also really sweet. He was such a good support and honestly was the type of character that I think I would like as a person too!
Overall, I was very intrigued by this story and am interested to see how it continues. I still have a lot of questions and points of confusion. However, it was very exciting ending with a lot of things coming together. There were a few twists up at the end and honestly it felt like everything came to head quite suddenly,

They say that animals have an instinct to recognize predators, and that comes with implicitly feeling the goodness in people. No person who loves all creatures and tries to help the wounded, downtrodden ones can be bad, so from the very start of the book I knew that Nova was a good person.
Nova is the survivor of life-shattering trauma, so she does just this - surviving instead of living. Her feelings of guilt are crushing her, coming on top of a brutal loss of family and irretrievable loss of trust from an abusive relationship. Despite all that pain, she never loses her human half, forcing her beastly half into submission and keeping its madness at bay.
I like how the author skillfully brings forward not only Nova's character, but all the characters' in the book despite the single POV. You see everything through Nova's eyes, but also the feelings of the other characters just from their interactions. It makes you cheer for and hate on the MCs, the story gets that intense! Truthfully, there are some inadvertences in the plot, but I just couldn't find it in my heart to shave a star because I liked the writing and the characters so much.
I also liked the idea that we all have a light and a dark side, and the dominant one will be the one we feed. At the same time, it is a mirror of the flightiness of people, how easily they are swayed and manipulated against others beyond reason and despite fact. So I liked the idea expressed through Flynn's words about how a good leader should be empathetic first of all. I will definitely want to read the sequel!

Oh my goodness!!! My heart can’t take any more but I need the next book! What am I to do?! A Billionaire’s Tale is an urban fantasy with a beautiful mix of raw emotion, past trauma, healing, and a side of humor. And don’t forget the heartwarming romance.
Nova is such a lovable character. I love how protective she is of anyone vulnerable. Even though she sees herself as weak, she tries to do the best for those around her, even at her expense. I found myself relating to her in many ways. For one, her extreme love of animals and the need to rescue them.
Flynn is a flying green flag. He is charming and powerful but he’s also the kindest and most understanding character in this story. He’s honestly perfect for Nova. After everything she went through, he is able to show her that there is better. The interactions between him and Nova were sweet and humorous.
The side characters are amazing as well. Onyx is the cutest bird ever. I love her and her chaos. Also, I would love see a romance between a certain werewolf and rogue vampire. Please make it so!!!

Supernatural chaos, swoony vibes, and an animal sidekick that steals the show
This book had everything I love—adventure, action, supernatural chaos, unexpected twists, and an absolutely adorable animal companion that kind of stole my heart (and every scene it was in). Onyx, I’m looking at you.
Right from the start, I was drawn into Nova’s world: half-vampire, hunted, betrayed, and somehow still sarcastic and soft-hearted when it comes to creatures in need. She reminded me of… well, me. Total sucker for a wounded stray. Her journey is wild—between vigilante moments, chaotic friendships, banter-filled scenes, and a swoony, slow-burn romance with Flynn, I was hooked.
And can we talk about Flynn and Nova’s dynamic? The denial. The tension. The no-spice swoon that gave me all the feels without needing to skip pages. It was refreshing to just enjoy the chemistry without things getting overly steamy.
Yes, there were a few parts that felt like filler—pages that padded the word count without adding much—but honestly, it didn’t take away from how fun and immersive the story was. Even the side characters had personality and depth, which made the whole cast feel alive.
It ends on an open note (not a cliffhanger, thankfully), but I’m absolutely ready for Part 2.
Highly recommended for fans of supernatural fiction with sass, heart, and a touch of chaos.

Sweet story - until they messed with her "dog". Nobody messes with Nova's loved ones!
I absolutely loved this book which had everything except spice. Nova has been beat up by life but keeps on trucking, rescuing people and animals along her path. When she finds a baby crow that needs to be nursed back to health, light starts to dawn in her bleak world. Add in a loyal white wolf that shadows her protectively, and Nova starts to trust again, little by little. But there is a monster inside her that will do anything to protect her and the ones she loves. Woe to those that seek to capture and control her!
This rollercoaster ride of a love story swings between sweet love and John Wick style revenge in a fun and sometimes bloody romp. Nova is a sweet wallflower that turns into a kick-butt, take no prisoners bad a$$ when she gets her back to the wall. Flynn is a cinnamon roll hero that I am totally pulling for. I really hope Nova kicks her ex's butt in the next book, because Owen is a real piece of work. There are new loyal friends and found family that I fell in love with, along with a certain crow and an old horse. I was so sorry to see this book end and can't wait for the next one in the series! Ava Grace Bentley really knocked this one out of the park!

This is a stunning tale of hidden identities, secret wars, vigilantes protecting supernaturals, survival and love.
I absolutely loved seeing the bond develop between Nova and Onyx, and all the sass and banter with her friend Sarah.
It has great suspense with the lingering threat of her ex, the mystery and tension building in the world of supernaturals, and her struggles being on the run, trying to stay under the radar, and surviving.
Nova is such a strong character, and Flynn is fun, broody and protective.
I enjoyed the range of supernaturals, the mystery of Nova's heritage and abilities, and her endurance and compassion.
Nova's clumsy meet cutes with Flynn had me giggling, and it was inspiring seeing her navigate her anxiety and speech impediments.
I am definitely invested in this world and characters, and intrigued to see more of Nova's abilities. Can't wait for the next book!

I don't even know where to begin. This book broke me and rebuilt me so many times. The story telling was amazing and the characters were so beautiful inside and out.
I love Nova with my whole heart, she's strong, resilient, caring and totally badass. She has her struggles but that's what makes her relatable.
Flynn... he's such a cinnamon roll and I loved it so much. You can see how much he cares for others, and how far he is willing to go to ensure that those who need help get it.
Sarah, i wish she was my friend. I need someone like her in my life to push me out of my comfort zone.

Ava is amazing at telling stories in a way that will jerk on every single one of your emotions. The story is beautiful even in its darkest moments. I am absolutely obsessed with this world she has created and cannot wait to read more!
The twists were twisting and I was genuinely shocked at some of them towards the end! I did not see them coming because I was so immersed in the story and had no time to think what might happen, I could only focus on what was happening.

I love Nova with my whole heart, she's strong, resilient, caring and totally badass. She has her struggles but that's what makes her relatable.
Flynn... he's such a cinnamon roll and I loved it so much. You can see how much he cares for others, and how far he is willing to go to ensure that those who need help get it.

I decided on reading this book as a palate cleanser from spicy dark romance and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it! The characters are likable and witty. The banter is great and I would love to see this story continued. Nova has some good character development in the storyline. There are a few “why would you do that” moments and a few moments where I wish things would have played out differently but there’s still potential with how the story ends. The only thing I could say would make this book better would be slimming down on the “day in the life” type detailed scenes of just Nova’s experiences. There were maybe 3 of these in the middle of the book that seemed to slow down the momentum a bit. I would also say the Alpha was made to seem a bit too passive a couple times. Overall this was a great short read! Definitely recommend as a fun and wholesome change up.

I’ve read her work before as an ARC reader, but this one? It hit differently. I devoured it.
This story is unlike anything she’s written: raw, emotional, and beautifully intense. I cried, I rooted with everything in me for Nova, and honestly? I’d grab pom-poms and be her cheerleader any day. Her trials were heartbreaking, and yet her strength kept me hooked.
And then there’s Flynn. Oh Flynn… the ultimate cinnamon roll MMC. Sweet. Steady. Swoon-worthy. ❤️

A LOT happened in this book between the first and last page! The story starts off setting everything up well then bursts into a fast roller coaster with so many twists and turns that you could never predict! I loved the found family and romance tropes in the story, but the ending absolutely gutted me…
Nova was such a strong character who ends up learning so much about herself (love) and Flynn (SWOON) is one of my favorite MMC’s I’ve read in a while! They made me feel all the emotions and contributed to my gutted feeling at the end of the book 🥲

Such a great book! I can gush about this book so much! I definitely recommend!
Nova has been through so much in her life that it seems impossible that anything else can happen. So much sadness and pain in her past. But she eventually finds people that change her life for the better and help her heal.
The author, Ava Grace Bentley, has such an amazing way of reminding you that you are loved and even if you are broken that you can heal. I love her way of bringing her characters through tough challenges and seemingly insurmountable problems, only to find that they are strong enough. She definitely makes you know that you can also be strong and are loved.

I loved every minute of this book! This book makes you feel all the feels 🥹 It was filled with healing, emotion and the perfect amount of humor. I loved Nova and Flynn’s relationship so much! Nova is anxious but she’s always trying to do what’s best for everyone around her. Flynn is the protective cinnamon roll who is understanding and powerful and perfect for Nova!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
I'll be honest when I say I'm not much an Urban Supernatural fantasy reader. The occsional book here and there fill that itch for me. That being said, I liked A Billionaire's Tail. I liked the way that it was written. It blended the supernatural nicely with a modern world, which made the focus on character development more poignant.
This book does touch on lots of mental health subjects and emotional manipulation and abuse, which Nova then has to deal with. She is a broken woman who hase been on the run from her past for so long that she cannot let herself trust the people that truely want to help her. But she finds herself in a place where people love her and care for her and she learns to care deeply for them and its amazing seeing her overcome her trauma for these people.
Flynn is of course amazing. He's kind and caring and so fiercly protective of her. Of course he uses his money and his influence to take care of her, but again, its done in such an amazingly sweet and wonderful way. He doesn't expect anything from her, only wishes to help her and that alone does so much to help her heal.
As for the fantastical elements, they were interesting and I'm intrigued with her 'abilities'. But these elements didn't feel like the focus of the story, which was mostly on Nova learning to overcome her trauma and to trust people.

This dystopian fated mates shifter fantasy was an interesting book to read. I liked the clean romance, the way the main characters both wanted peace and worked towards that, and the integrity that they both displayed. I didn’t care much for the violence & gore. The reason I didn’t give this story more stars is because of the level of violence. Otherwise it’s a good book. There is a feel of a cliffhanger because even though the story comes to a close, there’s no closure. In fact there is a huge hint of more to come!

A Billionaire's Tail is Book 1 in the Heiress of the Dawn by Ava Grace Bentley. I found this fantasy was very unique. Nova was betrayed by her ex-fiance who murdered her family and is hunting her. Nova is a half vampire and she tries to be invisible. I believe that Nova is a good character and she meets every challenge head on. There are other beings such as vampires, werewolfs, omen...they cause Nova much grief. I am looking forward to book 2. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

I did not know how much I'd enjoy this UF novel but it was so good. That ending though! When does book 2 come out exactly? Nova is such a relateable and strong character. I absolutely adored Flynn, he was so swoony! The animals in this story were also a great addition between Onyx and Shadow. Plus, the plot twist! I made the mistake of coming across it right before bed, which meant I went to sleep late because I just had to know what happened next!

Absolutely loved this story! It is unlike what I normally read, but I am grateful to have stumbled upon this treasure. I adore how much thought that was put into building a world within our world. This quick-paced book is sure to glue you to your seat until the very last page!

A Billionaire’s Tail was a refreshing fantasy world with a strong fmc who is lost and finds a home with friends and love. It is a story of redemption and fighting when you have been knocked down. If you love werewolves, vampires, and other magical creatures, you will find action, romance, comedic relief, and a no spice adventure. I loved reading this and literally finished in 3 days!

I almost didn't finish this, the first half was really slow. The plot eventually picked up and the action in the second half was almost too fast. The world building was confusing and in my opinion there was very little romantic interactions. overall it was a great idea that was much less cheesy than the cover would have you think, but the balance of several elements was out of whack.

This book! I loved every minute of it. Full of action, plot twists and frenemies to lovers, this book won my heart. Add in animal side kicks and supernaturals and this makes for one of the best stories!
Nova is the leading lady. Not only is she on the run, but she carries a heavy load on her shoulders. When she is at her worst she meets Flynn but not in the way one would expect.
Flynn is the main man here. I usually lean towards the morally grey leads but he surprised me. I love this character and his compassion and heart for others, especially Nova.
Wait until you meet Onyx, Sarah and Shadow. You won't be able to put this book down or get it out of your head!
