Four months ago, a black magic coven summoned the Seven Deadly Sins from hell then quickly lost control. Former witch Moira O’Donnell and her lover, ex-seminarian Rafe Cooper, captured two of the demons, but the remaining five Sins disappeared. Now, whoever gets near the demons becomes infected with an insidious urge to act out on their deadliest sin—with horrific results.

Moira will do anything to find and imprison the remaining demons. Unfortunately, there’s no rulebook to follow, only her gut instincts … and they’re telling her something is very wrong in Santa Louisa, the small California town where the demons were first released. Fights are breaking out day and night, friends are turning on friends, and the jails are full. She wants to stay and help Sheriff Skye McPherson find the cause of the violence, but when a demon hunter goes missing while pursuing one of the Seven, Moira’s the only one who can find him.

While Moira is tracking one demon in Canada, Rafe and Skye battle another in Santa Louisa. With every victory comes many more defeats, and Moira quickly realizes that someone—or something—doesn’t want her to return to Santa Louisa. The body count rises, demonic hot spots pop up throughout the world, and the people closest to Moira are in the most danger. When one of their own succumbs to one of the Sins, Moira fears they’re too late … and the end of the world is already here.

I'd been so desperate for this book to be written, to have the chance to discover what happened next with Rafe and Moira, Skye and Anthony, that I may have had huge expectations for this book.

And you know what? It didn't disappoint one dang bit.

Maybe absence really does make the heart grow fonder?

And look, it's not like the wait was a bad one. When I think of the other characters and stories Allison Brennan has shared with her readers over the past few years, who could be disappointed?

This book though, was simply awesome. I still wanted to slap Anthony every second page, but hey, some characters are just like that!

Oh, and finding my sons name in there, with the correct spelling as well? Awesome!

OMG!! I have been waiting what feels like an eternity for this book and Allison did not disappoint! Rafe, Moira, Anthony, Skye and a range of new characters all returned to try and recapture the remaining sins but everything seems to be against them. (Several times I thought Allison was going to break my heart and kill off my favs) But in the end with a lot of help and faith they prevailed.......then......that final scene.....left it open for the possibility of another book. I feel really sad now that I've finished the book

Mortal Sin (Seven Deadly Sins, #3) by Allison Brennan The finale (if it is...) to the series has been a long time coming and thank the reading gods, Allison finally found the time to wrap things up. Holy Jiminy Cricket! This book is full of mystery, murder, mayhem, demonic derring-do, desperation, and everything you'd want a great thriller to have, especially if you like a side order of horror to add chills to your reading banquet. Well done!

This book was excellent. It had interesting and exciting characters good and evil. This was such a fast-paced story with a lot of action and romance. The ‘good’ characters: Moira, Rafe, Skye, Anthony and the secondary characters were well-developed and fought so well together against evil. I’m sorry this series was cancelled by the publisher, as it is one of the best ‘supernatural’ novels I have read. Allison Brennan succeeds once again!

I'm sure the series is very good. I just couldn't get into it and couldn't finish the book. I don't feel it fair of me to grade it.

Awesome Read!

I really hope this isn't final installment of this series. Moira and Rafe are great couple and with Serena still alive there is so much more that can happen.

I was jumping with joy the moment I find out that the 3rd book is out.

FINALLY! I have been so desperate to discover what is going to happen next in the battle between the coven of evil witches and Catholic church Saint Michael’s Order. Needless to say, I was not disappointed with Brennan’s work. There was so much more action and suspense (let’s not forget deaths) this time.

This book received one less heart compared to the two books before it simply because I felt that even though I truly enjoyed reading this, it was a little too rushed. The ending felt like a whirlwind of words and actions rushing to fit into the limited pages. The action scene was still good but ended too erupt that I think it would have been better if the ending had been expanded. And then that last scene, definitely felt that it was left open for the possibility of another book. Oh gosh, I can die of excitement if there is another.

This book is different than most everything else Allison Brennan has written. You have Moira & Rafe and Skye & Anthony. The demons that were mentioned in this book were Wrath and Greed, and I think they got rid of both of those. Fiona (Moira's mother) finally grew old and died. Rafe found his brother. Anthony proposed to Skye. Fiona is pregnant with twins. Serena (Moira's half-sister) is still alive and might come after Moira again. I'm waiting to see if there will be any more books in this series. The next book coming out is a romantic anthology with an Allison Brennan story inside.

I totally enjoyed the way Lucy Kincaid has grown and overcome all her obstacles from the kidnapping/rape. She has developed into a story character and really like the addition of Sean and the romantic connection the two have.
It has been 6 years since Lucy was kidnapped by Trask and she is now trying to get into the FBI, does volunteer work for an agency that tracks paroled sex offenders.

Quite the disappointment - waaayyy too long and I've never read anything with so many typos in it. Obviously thrown together and put out there in a hurry - too bad - had really been looking forward to it - and BTW it's Victoria, BC (or British Columbia) NOT Victoria, Canada. YOu wouldn't say San Diego, USA would you?!
