Shorrrrrrty
Fear is the key. It was a movie title a while ago, I think. This short story illustrated that. The twisty, unbelievable craftiness of the psycho-turmoil is palpable in itsy-bitsy prose, but finger-licking.
Typically, I don’t subscribe to short stories because of my suspicion that the writers may just be looking for a quick hit. But so what? In this immensely competitive digital morass. You could give it a look!

Spooky puzzles
This book is super interesting and fun. Each puzzle gives a spooky scene, and everyone asks yes/no questions until we guess the ending. The rules are easy to follow and most answers feel fair. A few stories are very gross, so we skipped those with younger kids, and some clues were a little unclear to me. Still, we solved most puzzles and had lots of fun. If you like simple riddles with a scary twist, this is a good pick for you.
