What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas... sometimes, it follows you home

Destiny just wanted a break from her sister’s over-the-top hen’s weekend in Las Vegas. A strong, independent woman used to standing on her own, she never expected a stranger at the bar to knock the breath out of her. Mason was charming, magnetic, and far too smooth for someone hiding his true identity. Still, one wild night turned into a spontaneous Vegas wedding neither of them expected to mean anything. Or so they thought.

Back in Australia, Destiny walks into a family dinner and straight into Mason’s world again. The man she married on a whim? He’s her future brother-in-law’s brother. Their accidental reunion sets off sparks and starts tearing down walls they’ve both spent years building. The paperwork says they’re married. The feelings say maybe that night wasn’t a mistake.

Mason is ready to fight for her, but Destiny’s not the type to fall just because the guy is charming. She’s worked hard for her stability and doesn’t give up control lightly. But maybe real love isn’t about giving anything up. Maybe it’s about letting someone in who meets you exactly where you are.

Destiny learns that independence and vulnerability can coexist. Mason learns that real connection takes more than charm. What they find together isn’t perfect, but it’s real, raw, and worth fighting for. This isn't just one night in Vegas. It might be the start of forever.

A steamy, curvy girl, accidental wedding, small town, Aussie romcom exploring love at first sight, second chances, self-worth, identity, vulnerability, family, independence, impulsivity, reconciliation, and belonging. Messy, sexy, grounded, and full of heart. Sometimes the riskiest bets are the ones worth keeping.

“What happens in Vegas… might just change your life.”

This book had everything I love in a romance—unexpected twists, heartfelt emotion, sizzling chemistry, and characters I couldn’t get enough of!

Destiny is the kind of heroine you root for from the very first page—strong, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. All she wanted was a breather from the chaos of her sister’s hen’s weekend in Las Vegas… but what she got instead was Mason. A swoony, mysterious (and formerly famous!) rock god who turned one wild night into a spontaneous wedding neither of them saw coming. (And yes—there’s a very steamy balcony scene you won’t soon forget!)

The twist? Back home in Australia, their paths cross again—because Mason just happens to be her future brother-in-law’s brother. Talk about fate! I adored the nods to New South Wales—especially the shoutouts to 2770 and The Riff. It gave the story such a vibrant, grounded sense of place.

The chemistry between Destiny and Mason is electric, but what truly sets this book apart is its emotional depth. Destiny’s fear of losing control, Mason’s quiet, unwavering persistence, and the way their relationship evolves from accidental marriage to something real had me hooked. Their reunion is messy, serendipitous, and beautifully vulnerable—full of slow-burn tension, raw emotion, and honest growth.

This isn’t just a whirlwind Vegas romance—it’s a moving love story about second chances, learning to trust, and finding someone who sees every part of you… and stays anyway.

If you love accidental marriages, found family, and swoony heroes who fight for their happy ending, this book is a must-read.

An absolute 5-star gem.
Tilly Tait, you’ve outdone yourself—you are a superstar!

The King family men are known for recognizing their perfect wife-to-be at first sight: Destiny IS his destiny.

Destiny Drake is in Vegas with her sister, Jade, for Jade's weekend hen party. Accompanying them are Jade's bridesmaids and fellow fitness influencers. All of them are constantly telling Destiny if she'd only lose weight, she'd be happier and able to attract someone to marry her. Jade is healthy and strong, just not thin. She has a large personality and isn't afraid to let her opinions be known. That doesn't make her unworthy of being loved. Twice her father has divorced his wife for a thinner woman. The first one was her mother. Because of that, she was raised by a strong woman who has taught her to never depend on a man for her money or general welfare.

Jade is well on her way to becoming drunk after only two drinks, unlike Destiny, who can hold her liquor. She leaves the rest of the bridal party in their suite and heads to the bar. There she meets the most beautiful man she's ever seen. She even thinks she hears a slight Australian accent when he speaks. He recognizes her as a fellow Aussie and explains he hasn't been home in a long time and has most of his accent. He reminds her of someone. Oh yes, a singer she had once crushed on...

Mason King grew up on stories of love at first sight being common in the King family. After all, that was the story of his parents.

He's been in the US for ten years but has decided to return to his hometown of Hartwood Bay. His friends decided to throw a farewell party for him. That's why he was in the bar that night. Seeing her, a fellow Aussie who is about to return to Sydney, is an omen that he made the right decision to go home.

She looks at him as if she should know him from somewhere. It's a look he doesn't get that often anymore since he left The Monarchists band, where he'd been the lead singer. Now he's mainly a certified music therapist an also a composer.
After she tells him they're soon off to Hawaii for Jade's wedding, he needs to do something to keep her close to him. She tells him she's done and has seen everything Vegas has to offer and ticked them off her list. But she's missing one big item that Vegas is famous for—weddings! He offers to marry her, and if that wasn't crazy enough, she accepts!

At the Elvis wedding chapel, as they're handing over their I.D.s, is when she recognizes who he actually is. She's not upset; she's ready to get the ceremony over so they can consummate this marriage! Besides, her father is Dougie Drake, an Aussie icon rugby player turned TV host, so she's accustomed to meeting celebrities. His only regret is that they're getting married at a Vegas chapel rather than at Valentine Cove, where his parents were married.

But the next morning she was gone and completely ghosted him. He didn't see her again until at a get-together for Chelsea's wedding, where he thought the groom's brother was getting too handsy with his wife. Now Destiny is really upset with him! Luckily, his mother is a romantic who wants all three of her children happily married, so she's eager to help him fix this.

There was one thing neither of them knew on the night they got "married." The concierge had arranged for a real legal marriage ceremony, not a touristy gimmick!

Viva Las Oops—How I Accidentally Married My Book Boyfriend🎲
Okay, real talk? I opened this book for a little chaotic romance fun, and what I got was a laugh-out-loud, swoon-on-sight, emotional rollercoaster with sequins, sass, and a whole lot of heart. And I am not okay in the best possible way.
Destiny Drake is my girl. She’s the kind of hot mess express I would absolutely get into trouble with on a girls’ trip—bold, funny, a little impulsive (okay, a lot), and full of that relatable "did I really do that last night?" energy. Her Vegas night with Mason King? Peak fantasy. I mean, who hasn’t dreamed of a mysterious, magical one-night stand that somehow ends in an accidental wedding with a guy who looks like sin in a suit?
And Mason? He’s that rare cinnamon roll with a stubborn streak. Sweet enough to make you melt, but firm enough to say “nah, babe, you’re mine and I’m not letting you go just because you ghosted me post-wedding.” Like—sir, please. My heart can only take so much!
What I loved was that this wasn’t just a fluff-fest (though the fluff was delicious). There’s that mix of humor and heart that Tilly Tait pulls off like a romcom ninja. The awkward moments? Hilarious. The emotional ones? Hit me right in my soft spots. And the chemistry between Destiny and Mason? WHEW. Sin City who?
Also—can we talk about Hartwood Bay? Small Aussie town, big drama, family resort setting... I want to book a room and pretend I accidentally married someone hot too.
Spice level: 🔥🔥🔥 (sweet and steamy with just enough “oh no they didn’t” to keep me fanning myself and giggling)
Feels factor: High. Unexpectedly tender, and somehow made me want to call my ex and check my Vegas photo album.
Would I gamble on this book again? Hell yes. I’d double down.
Final verdict: If you've ever dreamed of waking up next to a hot stranger in a chapel, only to have fate (and your inner hot mess) follow you home, Gambling with Destiny is your next binge. Funny, flirty, and full of “oh, s@!t” moments that turn into “oh, yes” romance. I’m obsessed.
Tilly Tait, you owe me one fresh heart and maybe a shot of tequila.

All Destiny wanted was a quiet moment away from the chaos of her sister’s flashy hen’s weekend in Las Vegas. Independent and fiercely self-reliant, she wasn’t looking for romance—until Mason appeared like a plot twist in a story she never meant to write. Charming, enigmatic, and far too smooth for someone clearly keeping secrets, Mason swept her off her feet for one unforgettable night that ended with vows, rings, and a very unplanned wedding.

They both assumed it would end there.

But fate has other plans. Back home in Australia, Destiny walks into a family dinner and straight into Mason’s world again—this time as her future brother-in-law’s brother. The Vegas stranger is suddenly very real, very close, and very much still her husband.

What follows is a heartfelt, slow-burning journey of discovery, attraction, and reckoning. Destiny doesn’t hand over her trust easily, and Mason—despite his effortless charm—knows that love takes more than a whirlwind night and good intentions. As old walls start to crack and hidden vulnerabilities rise to the surface, what began as a spontaneous mistake begins to feel a lot like fate.

This story is a beautiful blend of humor, heart, and heat. Destiny and Mason’s chemistry is magnetic, but it’s their emotional growth that steals the show. Through missteps, second chances, and undeniable connection, they discover that true love isn’t about losing yourself—it’s about finding someone who sees you, supports you, and still wants to stand beside you when the glitter fades.

She is in Vegas with her sister‘s bridal party, and now she’s hanging out at the bar, trying to avoid the vapid bridesmaids. She doesn’t expect that the handsome stranger on the stool next to her is going to be a fellow Aussie.. when he asks her if she wants to have a real Vegas experience and takes her to a wedding chapel she plays along, thinking it’s all for fun. The next morning she takes off for home never expecting to see him again. He has been an ace abroad for several years and now is packing up his life to move home. The last thing he expects to do is walk into his sister’s wedding and see her his wife and realize she doesn’t have any idea that they are actually married. This is a short story format so you don’t expect a lot of complex character development or overly detailed plot lines and has a cute backstory. The characters are both fun. I just thought it was a little overly ambitious with some elements as it was short story and it didn’t really get to flesh them out. I enjoyed the story as a quick read, but it was pretty simple and not overly memorable..

Gambling with Destiny is part of the multi-authored Viva Las... Oh, Sh!t Series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, accidental marriage, mid-life, opposites-attract, curvy girl gets her hunk romance. Destiny is a 32-year-old smart, independent, and curvy woman from Australia, who is in Vegas for her sister's hen party. Mason is a hunk in town for a last hurrah before returning home to Australia. One look at Destiny in the Vegas bar and he is in love with the feisty, curvy goddess. He proposes a Vegas wedding for the experience, but both don't realize it's real. They have a hot night stand only for Destiny to be gone in the morning. Mason is devastated. Fast forward a month and their paths cross again at her best friend's wedding. Mason is determined not to let her get away again. Can she let down her walls? The chemistry between these two was pure fire and the ending was so romantic after some angst. I loved it .

This is part of the “Viva Las... Oh, Sh..!” series but can be read as a standalone. Destiny is in Vegas for her sister’s hen weekend and she’s finding herself in need of a distraction. When fellow Aussie Mason introduces himself, she thinks she’s found just the thing. Mason, on the other hand, is looking to make Destiny his permanent distraction which is how they end up in a Vegas wedding chapel, followed by a night which has them both seeing stars. After being deserted by Destiny by the next morning, Mason takes himself back home to Australia where he gets the second big surprise of his recent life when he finds his Destiny again. Recommended for readers looking for a fun and steamy short read with heart, emotion, vulnerability, laughs and the ever-entertaining small town supporting cast in Tilly's Hartwood Bay.

Fun, steamy, and full of heart!

Destiny is the strong, independent heroine you can’t help but root for — all she wanted was a break from her sister’s wild hen’s weekend in Vegas… instead, she got Mason, a swoony ex-rock god who turned one wild night into a spontaneous wedding (and yes, the balcony scene is unforgettable!).

Back home in Australia, fate throws them together again — Mason just happens to be her future brother-in-law’s brother! I loved the Aussie vibes, the small-town feel, and the real, raw way Destiny and Mason find love through second chances, honesty, and a lot of heat.

This accidental wedding romcom is messy, sweet, and sexy in all the right ways. Mason’s brutal honesty and Destiny’s fierce heart make this so much more than just a Vegas fling — it’s about finding someone who sees you and stays when the glitter fades.

Highly recommend for a quick, spicy read with big laughs and even bigger heart!💓

Las Vegas wedding romance.
Destiny is a young woman who came to Las Vegas for her sister's wedding. She didn't expect to meet a gorgeous man who wanted to make her experience the Las Vegas skyline, nor to end up married to the same man.
Mason is a former celebrity who came to celebrate his last game in the United States in Las Vegas, but when he enters the bar, it's love at first sight for the young woman at the bar. After a wonderful night, he realizes that she has disappeared and that their marriage, however, he didn't expect. to have a chance to see her again at her parents' resort.
Will Destiny and Mason have a happy ending, or will Mason's possessiveness and Destiny's independence tear them apar….

His Destiny!

Mason is brought to his knees by love at first sight, a family trait, but Destiny will take a little more convincing, she doesn't believe in fate or even love if her parent's track record is anything to go by!
I like Mason and I really like that when he realises his mistake, he doesn't push Destiny, he backtracks, regroups and plans. He knows them both well enough to know a big, grand gesture is not the way forward. Brutal, soul baring honesty is the only way to earn Destiny's heart and he doesn't hesitate to lay his heart out for her. How can she possibly resist?
A sweet, and steamy, read on Kindle Unlimited.

This is a quick and fun meet cute rom com that can quite easily be read in one sitting.

Mason, on the verge of leaving the US to head home, meets the dynamic and sassy Destiny, a woman tired of men who don’t know how to treat a real woman in a bar that leads to a quick “fake” wedding in a Vegas chapel before the best night of their lives.

Flash forward and their lives are intersected again! Call it fate, call it destiny…whatever it is…it’s a cute romance you will love.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, sweet and steamy, male ex-rockstar (Mason)/female business manager (Destiny), contemporary, accidental marriage romance. I enjoyed Mason’s certainty that Destiny was his perfect match, and his pursuit of her. I enjoyed Destiny’s willingness to demand more proof than his word, and to come to her own conclusions. I enjoyed their steamy intimate scenes and chuckled at the antics of supporting characters.

Mason King is a retired rock star. With his Aussie background he has lived in the US. Now he wants to go home. But what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas. Right? He sees her. His destiny literally and physically. I only lose track of her and meet with her later at his sister's wedding. Rooting for the underdog he must convince her that one event occurrence is not enough. Will she accept the challenge? Good read. Is she his destiny? Or is Destiny going to walk away? Loved the read.

A steamy read with two Aussies, Destiny and Mason, who meet in Vegas and have one of 'those' Vegas experiences. Soon, they're reunited back in Aus. A steamy 'love at first sight' read, obviously written as part of a wider series of stories.

What could be a better souvenir from your Vegas trip than a quickie fake marriage.

This was a fun and super enjoyable read. Enjoyed every bit of the story.

Life sometimes gives you exactly what you need, not what you want despite all your plans!

I love how Tillys characters weave in and out of each others lives. A million little connections under the surface tying them all together!
