Nick's Confession: Mountmooke Bay Prequel of First Love and Lasting Regret

Rate this book
Some curveballs change the game forever.

Nick
Baseball is supposed to be my future, my one-way ticket out of Mountmooke Bay.

But then I meet Charley—the girl who sits in the bleachers reading novels instead of watching the game.

The plan was baseball, graduation and a shot at the big leagues. Until life throws a curveball that makes me realize love isn’t as simple as I thought.

Charley

I promised myself I focus on school—boys are nothing but trouble.

But Nick isn’t just any boy. He sees me in a way no one else does, and for the first time, I want something more. Our love feels perfect, unbreakable… until reality steps in, and I’m forced to make choices I’m not ready for.

Nick’s Confession is the prequel to Charley’s Confession, a dual-POV romance about young love, heartbreak, and the choices that define us. Perfect for fans of heartfelt coming-of-age stories, this book will remind you that sometimes the hardest battles lead to the most unexpected triumphs.

I’m Elizabeth Chayse-Williams, author of small-town romances with big hearts, second chances, and just the right amount of spice. My stories are full of transformation of self, of love, of life because... I believe reinvention is real and sexy. I turned my dining room into a sewing haven and once dyed a wedding dress on my stove, so yes… I live for a bold story.

Welcome to Mountmooke Bay, where love is messy, family is complicated, and no one escapes without a little heat. My characters are real, layered, and just a bit chaotic. Kind of like me. When I’m not writing, I’m creating something with fabric or falling into a good book.
If you like your romance heartfelt, flirty, and a little unpredictable, let’s #chaysetheromance together. www.elizabethchaysewilliams.com

This is the prequel to the first book in the series, Charley's Confession, and I enjoyed reading how Charley's story came together. It was descriptively told from Charley's and Nick's POV's, and where Nick came across as unsympathetic in Charley's Confession, this gave a truer picture of Nick's side of the story.

I could relate to the bittersweet, teenage angst years, and the author wrote in a very relatable manner, drawing me in. Like Charley's Confession, once I started reading I did not want to stop. When I was forced to, I easily picked up where I left off, and did not have to re-read previous chapters to familiarize myself with the story.

Now that I'm hooked it is on to the next book in the series.
