A young girl finds tunnels under a rural estate and after descending through the natural passageways finds a large surreal underground garden. At first the garden feels like a sanctuary from the everyday turmoil of her unfortunate life, but soon she witnesses a specteral figure haunting that place. As she retreats the hauntings bleed into her real life and soon there is nowhere left to hide.
A chilling new twist on the contemporary ghost story, using magical realism Hannah Mae cleverly unravels the language of the unconscious mind with her debut novella 'Poison'.
