Accidental Vegas marriage, billionaire, fake wife to save a billion-dollar deal, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity.
I didn’t go to Vegas to fall into a pool, down several mixed drinks, and wake up in bed beside a stranger.
Scratch that—not just a stranger. A charming, suit-wearing, name-dropping, too-hot-to-be-real billionaire named Damien Blackwood.
So, imagine my surprise when I woke up with a splitting headache, a blurry marriage license, and a very expensive ring on my finger.
It was no big deal. There were worse things in life that could happen, and this could be fixed with two an annulment.
But thanks to a nosy chapel guest and an Instagram account, our accidental nuptials were videoed and blasted all over social media, making headlines on Page Six.
Damien’s board thinks it’s real, and now his company’s billion-dollar merger hinges on him being seen as stable and settled.
I was all set to sign the annulment papers until Damien came to me with a business
Pretend to be happily married for a while longer. Make a few public appearances. Smile for the cameras. Pretend to be madly in love.
He’d pay me one hundred thousand dollars for my time—money I desperately needed to kick off my breakup box business. Once the merger was complete, our fake marriage would be annulled, and we’d never have to see each other again.
The problem? Although our marriage was fake, our chemistry was very real. And the line between fake and real was blurring faster than we planned.
Writing is my passion and my mission is to provide readers with romance novels that will whisk them away into another world and from the daily grind of life - one book at a time.
Nope, nope, just freaking nope. Chapter 1 has a scene of him with OW. Ugh! Gross.🤮
Also, the way he talked about women was downright low. Like they're only good for one thing (sex) and nothing more. Oh, he also thinks women are only using him (maybe for looks, money, body, or whatever), so I'm going to boldly assume here that he also sees them as gold diggers or opportunists. Just use the word "women" in the search field to see everything he says about them. Gaaawd, what is this trash of a guy?! He's just straight up nasty and a disgusting manwhore! 🤮
“I’m sorry.” I sighed, rolling off Rebecca and placing my hand on my chest.
“It’s okay. It happens,” she said.
“No! It doesn’t happen to me,” I snapped, climbing off the bed and pulling my underwear on. I’d been seeing Rebecca for about a month, my usual time when I started getting bored and antsy with women.
[...] “Come back to bed.” She smiled, patting the empty side. “Let’s try again.”
“No. I think it’s time you left, Rebecca.”
“What? No, Damien.” I reached down, picked up her clothes from the floor, and tossed them on the bed. “Get dressed. You won’t be hearing from me again.”
[...] “What the fuck is your problem?” she asked.
“Nothing.” [...]
“You are so full of shit. I’m surprised you’re not drowning in it. You’re such a liar, Damien.”
“You want to know the truth, Rebecca? I’m bored.” I held out my arms. “You knew this wasn’t anything long-term.” She reached up and slapped me across the face. She wasn’t the only woman who had ever slapped me, and she wouldn’t be the last. It was something I’d grown used to over the years.
This novel is part of any series of the author's, and it was just what I needed. Willa the heroine is perfect. Actually, perfectly chaotic with a sunshine outlook and a wicked sense of humor Damien, bless his heart never intended to " settle down" ( whatever man came up with that phrase did not drive around all night to an all night screamer), and loves corporate domination. While the entire US seems to be dealing with the flu (or everyone these characters know), they meet in Vegas for a pick me up set up by Willa's cousin and spouse for her, Damien's arrangements made by his best friend, whose wife ends up with said flu, and ends up being unable to go. But Damien's and his best friend, friend also ends up ill. Damien and Willa meet due to some teens running.carelessly toward the pool...well since that was a great meet that set the tone of the novel...this is where I stop. I will say accidentally in the title is apropos. From one accident to the next the novel will keep you reading straight through. The book is highly entertaining and full of the unexpected.
Thank You, Ms. Lynn you started this day with laughter and a smile. You made my day!
Talk about a feel good story. Absolutely loved this story about two people who are both so very opposite in their respective ways. Willa losing her job and boyfriend, trying to find her way, and Damien just trying to get his footing, end up in the same place at you could say the right or wrong time depending how you look at it. Join in on their hilarious journey together, not without many ups and downs. They will keep you guessing, jumping through hoops. Loved, loved this.
A nice sweet story but very superficial The characters never had depth, the writing and the story at all at the surface not delving into detail or emotion. If you like that, it’s fine but disappointing if you like a deeper experience.
Willa and Damian were a great couple from the start - disliking each other - getting to know each other and then loving each other. Then came Daisy and Delilah - and I laughed and smiled and had a wee tear too. Sandi Lynn writes such brilliant tales - I have read every one of her books and often read them again.
Accidentally Yours is a stand-alone title by Lynn Sandi. It tells the story of billionaire Damian Blackwood and down-on-her-luck legal secretary turned entrepreneur, Willa.
Following a day from hell where her boyfriend breaks up with her and she gets fired from her job as a legal secretary, Willa’s cousin takes her on a trip to Las Vegas for some relaxation. It is there that she meets Damien, and the two of them connect from the start. After spending the day together, Damien and Willa wake up in his hotel room and they discover that they had gotten married the previous day/night. With none of them remembering the event or what transpired before that, they decide that getting an annulment is the way to go. Because Damien needs to show his company board members that he left his partying, womanizing past behind, that decision is, however, not as easy to carry out as they thought. Damien and Willa then agree to stay married. At least, just until the deal that Damien’s company is busy with is finalized.
From the start, I had a huge issue with transitions between locations. For example, in one sentence, Willa would be at work, then the next sentence or paragraph would start, and suddenly Willa was somewhere else. This was jarring and, unfortunately, a theme that was repeated from start to finish. There were punctuation issues as well, but these were not too serious.
The scene following Willa’s boyfriend breaking up with her struck me as immature and boorish. So, her boyfriend broke up with her, which was perfectly within his right to do, but Willa’s reaction blew my mind; she slashed his couches, damaged the walls of his apartment, etc. etc. And you couldn’t even describe this as a crime of passion because this reaction came a few days after the breakup, so she had time to calm down. I thought her behavior lacked integrity (to say the least). The guy didn’t deserve that, and it is not something I expected from a “leading lady.”
Speaking of which, in this book we had an FMC who got of bed as late as two o’clock in the afternoons and an MMC who shouted at everyone and discussed the merits of lower vs higher-class women with his friend (a friend who lied to his wife about what he was doing, I might add). At this point I was seriously questioning the morals of these characters...
Then there was the fake marriage—which was needed for the sole purpose of closing a deal—that was all out in the open; everyone from the doorman to the driver knew was fake. Not Damien nor Willa considered that the truth could get back to the investor they were trying to fool.
The author tried to portray Willa as quirky and sunshiny, but she just ended up looking superficial and gave off air-head vibes. Damien was no better with his inability to speak properly; all he did was shout at people (to be fair, a lot of the characters communicated by shouting at each other). Damien was like a chameleon: extremely unpleasant when he thought he did not need Willa; turning on the charm when he needed something from her or when he was trying to get her into his bed. Both Damian and Willa had no emotional depth. Unfortunately, the characterization was very poorly done.
The first (bland) spicy scene came, and guess what? These two people who barely knew each other went at it bare, with Willa insisting that she was on birth control. And you guessed it: the pregnancy followed soon after. At the 40% mark we had Willa realizing that she was in love with Damien, and at 50% both had declared their love, and I was wondering what was left to write about, but wait for it… The rest of the book reads like an extended epilogue, a deep dive into pregnancy and child rearing—the reader was given a front seat to Damien and Willa experiencing her pregnancy, giving birth, raising their daughter, and then (oops) another “surprise” pregnancy, and then were experiencing them raising two kids. We also got to see the kids’ growth milestones and even met their boyfriends.
For me, the story stopped at 50%. From there, it was a recitation of the rest of their lives. Worldbuilding stopped. Character development stopped. The relationship arc stopped. We, the readers, watched how Damien and Willa raised their kids. I’m sorry, but the second half of the book was not a romance. Surprisingly, I read this book to the end, but I will not be trying another one from this author. Once was enough.
I was looking forward to reading another Sandi Lynn book because I enjoyed the Cause and Effect series so much. When I found out she was releasing a brand new book, I had to check it out. I wound up shelving this on release day and now that I finished it, I have mixed feelings. The book starts out great! We are introduced to Damien and Willa as their world is flipped. Damien is getting shit for the way he is portrayed in the media, as a spoiled playboy and Willa had just lost her job and boyfriend. When they meet in Vegas it’s under friendly but other circumstances. Damien sees her as a one night thing and Willa sees him as an intriguing conquest but willing to put cards on the table for one night. What follows is situations out of their control. With the allure of the night before gone, they are thinking more short term and something that can disappear quickly until it becomes long term and they both wind up falling in love. The amount of time this quickly happens is crazy! Usually it takes a long time before the hero and heroine falls madly in love. This happened right at the halfway point in this book, so that threw me off because I wasn’t expecting declarations of love that soon in the story. It was gearing up for that but Damien took slightly longer to realize it. It wasn’t until Willa was in danger did he realize he loved her and would give her the moon if he could, even this happened so fast, and not long after Willa realized it herself! Though I enjoyed Damien and Willa’s banter prior to this, their arguing was adorable and annoying at the same time and I loved their back and forth talk. Once the big love declaration happens at the halfway point, the book just becomes uneventful and not exciting anymore. Gone are the first time butterflies, getting to know each other and the excitement of intimacy for the first time with someone new. I don’t recall very detailed sex scenes explained in this book but the times it was in the story, it didn’t go into the passion and carnality I normally get in books. Maybe after reading some very rough and intense sex scenes with all the details in the past few books it just didn’t do it for me. Anyway, after the love declaration happens with Willa and Damien the book just had me lose interest. The chase was over, there was no extra drama, not even a vengeful ex! I wanted something! It was just moments in time and the building of Damien and Willa’s relationship which turned cheesy real quick. There was no substance, just goofy love struck adults who couldn’t focus on work or anything serious due to either watching each other in the home cameras or making googly eyes at each other with the rush to get home to be with one another. Well, this was mostly on Damien’s side and I got bored with his antics. This didn’t need to be included or even mentioned. The second half of the book goes in weekly, monthly and then 20 years into the future. I don’t know why Sandi felt the need to prolong the book. It should have been it when Damien realizes he doesn’t want to keep being the CEO of his company and ended there. There wasn’t even a recap of how Willa’s company and Damien’s company was going! I wanted an update on that too. Then she goes on to not only include the birth of not one daughter but two and the struggles they have with raising their oldest. Then the story follows their lives through their teens and early 20s up until marriage. I didn’t think that was necessary and could have just been an extended epilogue that readers can choose or not choose to read. So you see, even though this book started off with 5 star vibes, it ended with more like 3.5 because I just didn’t see the point of all this extra information and it didn’t capture my interest like the beginning did so we round off to a 4, because the first half was pretty good.
3.25 Stars-**spoilers** I’m not sure exactly what I read. It was fairly good. Damien and Willa meet each other in Vegas when all their friends get sick. They end up waking up the next day married. Damien needs them to stay married to close a big deal and pays Willa $100,000 that she needs to start her break up box business. Then after like a week they are in love and shortly after she’s accidentally pregnant. The second half is their life together with very little angst.
It wasn’t really a traditional romance. There is some spice. But there’s also a whole lot of baby blues. I stopped and asked myself what the heck I was reading. It was beyond instalove. But if you ever wanted to read the whole HEA when the couple gets together, this is that book! It was kind of a fun ride. I would have liked Daisy and Delilah to have their own romances rather than shoe horned into this one. It was a fun time, but not at all what I thought it was going to be.
A lovely well written humourous book, about a chance meeting leading to an impulsive wedding, whilst under the influence of Vegas. Damien Blackwood a billionaire encouraged workaholic, goes of on a weekend away to Vegas after his play boy antics have got him once again in the tabloids, and lectured by the board, especially his uncle. Although he is the main share holder, his Uncle is for ever asking more, and ridiculing his behaviour. Willa, a legal secretary makes one typing error that causes her to loose her job and the company to discredited. She too heads for Vegas with her cousin and his husband. However for both parties they finish up on their own, on a drinking spree, and the rest is a wonderful story. The characters are so funny together and all future characters are really funny. A fantastic , delightful book that is a credit to the author to read and enjoy. I’m
2.5⭐ It was a decent story idea, but the pacing was really strange to me. It felt rushed and I would have liked to have had more details throughout the story. The whole timeline and process of them actually falling in love after the accidental marriage was rushed and didn't really take me on what should have been an emotional journey. This book was rather unique in that we got a huge span of time in the story: marriage, falling in love, baby 1, baby 2, and even a few chapters when their kids were older teens/adults. Again though, I felt like parts were lacking depth and detail in lieu of getting bits of the whole lifetime of story told. Overall, not horrible but I feel there was so much more potential if it had been fleshed out more. Cute, quick read.

Just loved Accidentally Yours, made chuckle. Brilliant feel good read ☺️
Damien Blackwood is a billionaire playboy workaholic who gets a dressing down from the board about his antics in the tabloids, which is giving the company a bad reputation that could cost them clients. Willa is a legal secretary who ends up losing her job, her boyfriend & home all in the space of a few hours. Both are total opposites but totally work. They both end up in Vagas, wake up married, and do not remember anything. When they get home, Damien realises this could work in his favour to get the client and help Willa with money. What they did not realise is how they end up feeling for each other.
This book was entertaining and loved the banter between Damien & Willa. It's definitely one to read 😍
What a cute, quick read!! I Love how the two main characters meet in Vegas, and from there everything seems accidental but it was all fate. I absolutely loved all of the women’s support in this book with the career change due to one breakup box. And although the business model was inclusive it began as a pick me up and motivation for women that were dumped and I wondered why this isn’t a real thing for me to buy right now!! lol!! Overall a super cute read and very well written.
Willa and Damian get together for one drunken night In Vegas and wake up married. Both know it's a disaster, but when they get back to New York, Damian makes a deal with Will a that she she would pretend to be his wife for the sake of his business. They are very different, but bring out the best in each other and fall in love. This is another billionaire to fall in love with. It's a fast read and great for the summer.
Deducted two stars for foul language and steamy scenes. I almost quit reading during the first chapter because of the F-bombs. There are several steamy scenes that I skipped over. The foul language decreased dramatically farther in the story. The banter between the FMC and MMC was hilarious, and I laughed several times. This is well written except for the language.
What in the hot mess did I read….. this book is all over the place time line wise like got accidentally married -> pregnant-> had baby -> gets pregnant AGAIN -> 18 years later. The author tried too hard then rushed the story and therefore no relationship or character development. Everything felt super superficial and the characters got no personality
I never ever leave a book review unless the book is so amazing I want to share it with everyone! This book is possibly the best book I have ever read! Its so funny and so well written! The interaction between Willa and Damien is off the charts! Just read it you won't be sorry! It's a keeper that I will reread several times!
I knew this would be a good book, just by when posted spoilers from Sandi's Facebook group. I liked the first half it good, buy then I got to the second half and it was the best ever. I laughed so much I was in tears. I never thought I could have pick a favorite book by Sandi but this is definitely top two for sure. You have to read this and trust you'll love it.
What a hoot this book is. Two strong personalities in different ways end up navigating an unplanned wedding. Surprises just keep coming as Willa and Damien face life's challenges. Love wins but it's just the beginning of their adventures together. The family additions are the topping on the cake. Get ready for a chuckle or two. Loved this story.
3.5 stars Wow. This was like 5 books and storylines in one. Whatever you want in a fantasy romance, we’ll here it is. Grumpy jaded billionaire. ✔️ So sunshiny and glittery heroine ✔️ Corporate takeover by bitter relative ✔️ He falls first ✔️ She’s a a wild terror ✔️ Child rearing of terrorist babies ✔️ Through the years love grows stronger✔️
I loved Willa and Damien!! They met each other on a vacation in Vegas. They apparently had a fun night but didn't remember a thing because they woke up married to each other. They decided to stay married to benefit each other for a little while. They didn't plan on falling in love.
Nothing says classy and educated like an FMC who takes a hammer and scissors to trash her ex-boyfriends apartment. How dare he break up with her? He should have just stayed with her and made them both miserable for the rest of their lives.....yeah not wasting my time reading about the dregs of society.
Cute love story. Drunken/drugged night in Vegas and accidentally married that turns into love. Willa is a cute character. Damian changing was really cool to read. They had HEA that went into the future of their daughter. There is mention of spicy time but no real descriptions.
Cute read with a great storyline. I did enjoy it, writing was a bit choppy and rushed in parts. It was funny, had chemistry, very little heat. I rounded up to four stars it was about a three and half for me. Just because I felt it didn’t flow that well. It was a cute story though and short enough to read in one sitting.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas - unless it will help close a billion dollar deal and make the two strangers who are connected because of a drunken/drugged stupor actually fall in love. Damien and Willa's story was one of those books that you think are going to be like all of the others, but there is just enough spark and laughter to make it all worth while.
Sandi Lynn never disappoints but this ones different than others. I have laughed and cried throughout. Fantastic characters and love the fact she’s told a lot of the story not just the beginning! Highly recommend! Couldn’t put it down, read in 24hrs!!
It was hilarious! It’s been awhile since I’ve laughed this hard to her books but this one was awesome. I’m definitely rereading this multiple times. Stop reading reviews and get this book. It does not disappoint.
This story was so cute. I laughed all the way through it. I also stayed up half the night reading it. I can't wait to tell my friend who loves your books too how great it was.
