Kassanna is a strong believer in love at first sight and happily ever afters. After meeting her husband in November and marrying him three months later in February the two have survived and mostly enjoyed every adventure life has thrown their way. Ten years, two children, a couple of dogs and a wild turkey that came out the woods and somehow adopted them - later- the adventure continues.

Writing has always been her passion but fate sometimes has other roads that must first be taken . Navigating the road less traveled was not only unexpected but in the end extremely rewarding. Her books are mainly contemporary romance but she has delved into the paranormal and plans on expanding into other areas as the ideas come to her. Right now she is enjoying life and seeing her work come into fruition make it that much more pleasurable especially when her books make others smile. Kassanna wouldn't have it any other way.

Man I really wanted Drago to be forced to change, maybe he still will be able to once they all get it together. I was hoping it was going to be some type of triad that they had to form but it seems like that may not be the case. With so many other issues coming up again I find myself not even wanting to find the treasure but find the answers to the other things going on. I’m thinking that the treasure is either on Synda, close to fire island or Mags sword is the real treasure all along. Hopefully the next one won’t take long and some of the open issues will be closed as well as the real deal with the treasure.

Now you want to talk about a serious shifter story. Kassanna brings the heat and I do mean literally with each story that she writes. Although there is another shifter story she is writing as well, she has amazingly intertwined the two showing the history of these different species crossing paths and working together for the greater good for their clans.

Magdalena Rafi was an She-Dragon protector that has saw many, many things. She is from the beginning, she has watched her own clan and origins get swallowed up only to be reinvented into another tribe. To save she has lived is an understatement, how she has managed to stay unmated is a mystery to me but not to her. Magdalena aka Mags never wanted a mate, she wanted to do what she believed she was born to do, that is to protect the dragons and her charge at that time Jax at all costs. In the last book Mags comes across, another Shifter born of magic and his kind was created to protect as well but they were enslaved. The shifter is a Yeti by the name of Ratchet who is also from the beginning. Their chance meeting set off a chain of events that neither one of them could have anticipated, Ratchet was set free from his bondage to that slime ball dragon Drago and in doing so, it also set off the mating ritual.

Now talk about Multicultural relationship LOL!!! A She-Dragon and a Yeti, two totally different species and in the beginning neither one of them wanted the mating. For Mags it was forbidden to be mated to a non-dragon. For a Yeti it was all about revenge against those who have enslaved and harmed his kind. The interesting thing about it also is that it set off the mating ritual of that piss ant Drago which I was vehemently screaming "Oh Heck To The Nooooo!!! There is No Way on God's Green Earth That She is Going to Be With That Fool!!!"

So who does Mags choose? Because ultimately the mate has already been chosen so which one will it be? Will Mags make the right choice? Or Will She refuse to be mated entirely? Once a mating is refused, the symbols that begin on your arm will eventually consume your entire body which will drive the shifter insane. Once the insanity hits the only thing another shifter can do for him/her is to kill them.

This book had me on the edge of my seat and it is a fantastic read.
