This book is fantastic. A paranormal, age gap, forbidden romance.
We met Melakai in the Dream Trilogy. He is a broody alpha hole, with a hidden heart of gold. He holds his cards close to his chest but he will always protect his brothers and, their families.
Kai has not seen his brothers for twenty years, but being a vampire and immortal, means that time does not mean all that much to him. He has made a life for himself and thinks he is happy, until Raya Stone shows up on his doorstep running from the Masters' brothers and he is immediately drawn to her and her fearlessness.
Raya is everything that he wants but cannot have. He will do whatever he can to protect her, but will he finally find his HEA as well.

This was not what I was expecting going into this book but it was still really good. The story was a bit more 'fantasy' than I typically read but I was pleasantly surprised. While a young girl is trying to save her mom with her cousin, they become trapped without their special abilities. Hoping to find hope, she runs to her dad's ex-bestfriend. Despite the past, present, and future, love and peace are eventually found.

For romances that shouldn't be but feel "oh-so-good" when they do...yeah give me that forbidden love any day of the week and this one brings it with heat. 🔥💖
