I've been reading this series all out of order without any problem. The Sullivan siblings (very large family!) are the centre of the series. They created a K-9 Search and Rescue Centre out of their dude ranch after their parents were killed in a tragic accident. Each book features one of the siblings and has a unique romantic suspense plot. There is some carryover from book to book, mostly with all the characters, but not enough to confuse a newbie reader.

This time it's Joel and his K-9 rushing to the rescue and a very independent and somewhat prickly Trina needing the help. They've known each other since high school. She had a crush, he didn't. And now here they are, years later in the thick of a perilous situation. It's a wild ride of action and danger. I figured out the whodunnit early on but it was still fun to go on the adventure with this hero and heroine - especially when we reached their happily ever after! :-)

I continue to enjoy this series very much. These Sullivan siblings are so close and will drop everything to help each other, even when they are busy. Even their significant others will step into help, no questions asked! When Joel receives a desperate call from a high school friend that her nephew is missing, he immediately takes his search dog, Royal to go find Trina's nephew, Ben. Thankfully, Ben is found quickly but as Joel is about to go home, gunfire erupts and from there the attacks don't stop! Trina can't figure out who is that mad at her! I really liked how the author showed how thorough law enforcement was in following up with every possible person & possibility. That included Joel's FBI brother-in-law and other contacts. He desperately wanted Trina and Ben to be safe.
I can't wait to read the next story about Joel's twin!

He never thought...

So many things he hadn't thought about, hadn't thought he wanted....
...a relationship
...a family of his own
....a ready made family
But seeing Trina again has him rethinking.
And he is so good with Ben, who with his ongoing grief over his mother's death is not the easiest child, he can be whiney and difficult, but Joel stays calm and firm. I really like that Joel and Trina have an instant chemistry, it doesn't class as a second chance love, but it is lovely that this is now their time.
It's always good to join the Sullivan Siblings and this book is no different, I really like Joel, but Royal is my hero of the book.

Another exciting book of the Sullivan's family. This one featured Joel who was called upon by Trina an old high school classmate. Her nephew was frightened and sad as his mother, Trina's sister had recently passed away. She asked Trina to take care of her nine year old son if something happened to her. Ben climbed out of his window. He felt that things might be better somewhere else. Great suspense!

Such a great read. Scent of Fury is of Joel and his K9 partner Royal helping find his high school classmate Trina's eight year old nephew Ben who had sneaked out of Trina's house. Trina is raising Ben after his mother (her sister) passed and is doing her best as Ben struggles to acclimate. This story has nonstop danger and twists and turns as Joel, Trina, Ben, and Royal keep moving around to evade and find the person responsible. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.

The Sullivans and their ranch is a place I wish was real so I could visit. Them, their amazing adventures and of course, their fantastic group of dogs! Royal and Joel are a fantastic pair and they led me page after page in this latest saga of adventure and mystery. Their faith and growth in the same is precious! Read on!

Some parts of this story made me laugh 😂. I loved ❤️ Joel's character. I loved ❤️ Royal 🐕. Trina's character got on my nerves. I felt Trina should've explained the dangers to Ben. I loved ❤️ the ending.

This is another entertaining book in this series. I love the characters. There is plenty of suspense and danger along with a slowly building clean romance. The happy ending completes the package.
