I am the Author of a Christian/ Messianic Judaism Book Series called Seekers. I am a self taught writer starting at age nine. Seekers is various stories in this universe where Seekers exist. The stories go from the main cast to the stand alone stories about new characters that effect the core story. It has taken me almost ten years writing and layering these stories to have them fit to publish and even now I am still learning. I love my work and believe it is something new and exciting to the readers looking for good stories with loving characters. Now I am not perfect and neither are my first few books, they were my learning curve but I still love them and worked very hard on each and every book and I hope you enjoy them just as I have.

This book is terrible. The cover looks like it was drawn by a 5th grader, and the author reviewed her OWN BOOKS. Thats the ONLY reason why they have five stars.

For me, the font really ticked me off. I'm a fast reader, and when I opened the page to discover this author DOUBLE SPACED every OTHER SENTENCE? That is not only cheap, but its misleading to think that the book is much longer, when in actuality its only about HALF the length the book appears to have. IF THAT.

And it goes for 10 dollars? WHAT?!?!?!

This is literally religious fanfiction with the future thrown in. I've seen better stories for FREE on Fanfiction.com.

I'm a atheist, and while I do not mind religious stories, in most cases the religion is pointlessly shoehorned in, and this story is no better example. I only picked this up because of curiosity, although the author REVIEWING THEIR OWN PRODUCT!!!! Should have been a big warning sign.

I would say something positive about the story, but I kept losing my place because of the HUGE SPACES between sentences.

The story is painfully average, trying to be "every other teen sci-fi romance apocalypse story" ever with religion pointlessly added in.

What does it for me is the fact that not only is the author a dishonest cheapskate, but she also the NERVE to MANIPULATE THE RATINGS.

Disgusting.

2.5/5 If we ignore the HUGE amounts of dishonest shit the author has pulled, the story is just another another teen sci-fi apocalypse romance story. Except made worse because I wouldnt even know it was religious related at all had the author not forced it into the story, which made the characters and their interactions even more awkward. Skip.

If we INCLUDE all the dishonest shit the author pulled,
then it is a ZERO/5.

The story is made even worse when I CANNOT TELL WHERE I LEFT OFF BECAUSE OF THE F*CKING SPACES!!!!

Manipulating the reviews, spreading out the text to make it seem longer so she can charge 10 bucks when in actuality its worth NOTHING. As I have read MUCH better stories on Fanfic.net, and they are FREE.

I'd pay at most a couple dollars.

But why would I pay something that I can get elsewhere at better quality, or for free, or at the very least, they FILL OUT THE PAGES.

Shame on you author.

Skip it. Just don't even look at it.

A friend found this book for me and I decided to read it to support young writers. I am also a Christian, so I was excited to read a fun action book with the word of God.

Now I read the rest of the series, or at least the ones that are out right now. Personally, I think it has the potential to be a very good series. The author seems very passionate about her characters and this story. But, the first book was very rough. There were a number of spelling and grammar errors. One of my personal favorites was "my closet friend" instead of "my closest friend". However, I wouldn't be too harsh on the author considering her age. I'm not 100% sure, but her writing reminds me of when I was fourteen so I assume that's about her age. Therefore, I know she'll only continue to improve.
The characters didn't have a lot of depth. It seemed like you had to already know the basics of the characters to get any idea of who they are. You kind of jump into the story and get a very vague backstory of each character. They seem interesting but I want to know more about them, who they are, why they act the way they do, etc.
In addition, the first three chapters were good but by chapter four the plot was lost. You could kind of tell where she was going but it seemed like a series of shorts with the characters rather than an actual plotline.

So, as someone who has read the rest of the books, I suggest starting the second book rather than this one. It's really hard to continue with the series when you start out with this because you think the rest of the books are just as rough when that's actually not the case.

After reading more from this author, I would love to see her rewrite this one. I think she really has the potential to make this as good as the other two.

Therefore, at least for this book, 1/5.
