I can't decide if I thought this book was okay, or if I didn't like it. The book was very stilted, there was not much character development (maybe due to the short length), and I had many moments of thinking, "Whaaat?" That being said, there was a preview of the next book attached at the end of this one. I don't normally read previews (this one was about 4 chapters), but it was late and I was bored, so I decided to give it a try. It read much better than this novella, the characters were better developed, and I found myself wanting to know more about Lucky's past. So even though I didn't much care for this novella, I'm glad I read it because I will probably read the next book in the series.
