The Consistent Christian

Rate this book
Another quality eBook from Chapel Library. “The Consistent Christian is without doubt the richest book we have ever read on practical Christian living. In order to gain the most spiritual profit from the book, it must be carefully perused. It is much like the book of Proverbs, where each line must be contemplated. Secker abounds in the use of comparisons and contrasts, often using several analogies in the same sentence. Similar to the Old Testament authors, at times Secker ‘purposely exaggerates’ the wording to make his point. This handbook for Christian living will be a treasure to all serious Christians.” —The Editor, 1660

Although the book is very robust in piety and Christian living, the author tends to write superfluously. This book can be used as a daily devotional, and needs to be read slowly in order to gain more from it.
