Saving Ian Pope: He Falls First Popstar Romcom

Rate this book

Saving the popstar should be easy… unless you’re the one who needs saving

IVY

I write romance for a living—specifically, romantic suspense. Dark secrets, broken people, twisty plots? That’s my thing. But my life? It’s supposed to be simpler than fiction.

Enter Ian Pope: former boyband heartthrob, fresh out of rehab, and way too charming for his own good. He’s not the popstar everyone bets on—he’s the wildcard. The risk. The rehab headline.

I know I should keep my distance, but there’s something between us. A spark. A pull. And if saving him means keeping my own darkness buried, I’ll do it...including saying yes to a shady deal with his manager.

But Ian sees me in a way no one else does. His faith in me has convinced me to take matters into my own hands and confront my past once and for all. The question is when the truth comes to light, will he still be there?

Or will gaining my dignity cost me everything else?

IAN

Ivy Chase doesn’t care that I used to sell out stadiums...or that I ended up in a tabloid spiral. She treats me like a person, not a project. For the first time in a long time, I don’t want to run. I want to stay. With her.

I’ve traded booze for books and chaos for comfort, but Ivy has secrets. And the closer we get, the more I realize I might not be the only one who needs saving.

She’s worth the risk. The question is—am I?

This is my first book by Carol Ericson. This series is a about former members of the boyband Five2Go. When I received an ARC for book 2 Sweet on Charlie Beck I decided to read this one first im really glad I did. This book is so good.

This is Ian's book.
Ian is Currently a pop star. He just got out of Rehab. He is LA for the weekend with his manager when he meets Ivy she is a Author. The hit it off quickly but Ivy has lots of secrets.

Ian wants his life to quite down where he can make music and have a better relationship with his daughter.
Ivy also just wants a quite life but with lots of secrets she is trying to keeps. She keeps alot to her self.
I love the two together they really needed eachother when they meet. Definitely worth the read.

Pretty fun read with great characters. There was a glossing over of Ian's past as having alcohol problems but Ivy had a past too. Intriguing and fun!!

I admit spicy romances aren’t my cup of tea, but I enjoyed this.

The cover is what first sold me because I love both Los Angeles (my home) and London! This is such a fun and spicy read with heart too. It's a great beach read for summer.

2.75 Stars - Trigger Warning may not be suitable for all readers. I found it to be fluffy with a HEA.

This book gave everything! A former boybander fresh out of rehab. A romance author with a dark past. And a love story that made my heart race! Ian and Ivy's journey was emotional and perfect. I loved their chemistry, and I was so invested in their HEA!

As a forever One Direction girlie (yes, I did meet them at a Walmart in Philly in 2011), I was all in the second I found out this was inspired by the band that ran my life for years. The nostalgia hit hard, but what really grabbed me was the depth Carol handled Ian’s addiction and recovery so thoughtfully, and Ivy’s hidden strength? ICONIC.

This book made me believe in second chances and the power of showing up for the people you love even when it’s messy. I couldn’t put it down. Thank you @carolericsonbooks for this beautiful read, all the love for Liam RIP. Thank you for the gifted copy, 1D Forever! 💞🎤

I really liked the story of Ian and Ivy. I liked that they both had more than meets the eye, especially Ivy. I think Ian’s addiction and sobriety was handled well in the book. I’m just not a huge fan of insta love, they just met and he’s already moving in, felt like he had something to hide at the beginning. I also felt the end was rushed a bit. I would definitely read the rest of the series.
