Fraternal 17 year old twins try their best to be normal but, when the world's balance of good and evil tilts then what's going to happen? The girls orphaned at 2 and raised by their Aunt Hadie and a coven of Light Path Witches are about to turn 18 on the Winter's Solstice. Little do they know that their world is turning upside down. They must learn and accept the task laid before them by their Goddess. Queen Hectate must lose this war and be returned to her father. Will everyone agree that the world should be balanced? Will some want to have evil reign for a while? Who can the girls trust, only the boys and a few chosen by their Goddess. Will they be able to win the war at all cost's? Ella and Shae along with their boys will do all they can to stave the balance or will they falter?
Two sisters that are similar and different at the same time. They have powers on their own, but together, they are stronger, better...and of course, there is a bigger purpose for them.
The story weaves individual and intricate stories together. We have the past coinciding with the present, we have fate playing a role, we have destiny stepping in when you didn't expect it. There is love, of course, but although love plays a huge role in the plot, it's not the main focus. And even then, there are different types of love. From lustful to parental, romantic to friendly, and the most important one - sisterly. You don't have to have a sibling that you are close to to truly understand just how much these two girls mean to each other.
There are twists and plot points that you didn't see coming, which just makes the story that much more fascinating and leaves you wanting more. Glad this is the first in a series!

Sisters are great but magical twin sisters are awesome!!!
Ella and Shae are the sisters that everyone wishes they can have!!(I have one of those) Their powers are pretty awesome and they are super powerful, I loved their bond. It is exactly how close sisters act towards each other. This book falls definitely into a younger age group, but if your a book addict like me then it won't matter. I did find it a bit confusing with the switch from character to character, but that's just me. There are so many reading styles that fit into someone's idea of perfection!!! I love Ella and Shae's trusted partners. And both Mark and Mickaleb are the essential soul mates, timeless and beautiful how each of these boys love their girls!!!! And the book cover is beautiful!!! This book does end on a cliffhanger but with many of us book addicts that never phases us in the least {except being inpatient!!) I gave this book five stars for the cover, the plot, the beautiful love between so many characters in this story.
I received a copy of this book by the author for a honest review.
This book was filled with great action and a great story. I was disappointed in chapter 18-19 where it seemed to skip whole parts and a major part of the story was missing. I think this story has a lot of interesting research and depth to the background, but had a little trouble with sentence structure that would have kept the story flowing more clearly. I would certainly read more books from this author. She has great ideas and could be a best seller with a little bit of work.
If your looking for a wonderfully written supernatural book series to read, you must get this book!! I love the concept of having twin girl heroines...this is a wonderful book that is good for any age group. My daughter and I both enjoyed it and this author provide us some quite mother daughter time!!!
