Jalgrattasõidu anatoomia

Rate this book
Maailm elab läbi jalgrattasõidu renessanssi. Rattasõidu populaarsust suurendavad autoliikluse probleemid, säästliku ja rohelise maailmavaate laienev levik ning, ehk kõige enam, tänapäeva väheliikuvast elulaadist tulenev terav vajadus pöörata tähelepanu oma kehale kui elutähtsale kapitalile.
Tervisetreeningu seisukohast on jalgrattasõit üks ohutumaid liikumisvaeguse peletamise ja vastupidavuse arendamise vahendeid, mis ei sea eriti piiranguid sõitja vanusele ega kehalisele seisundile. Samas on ratturi asend jalgrattal suhteliselt sarnane istuva tööasendiga.

I received this book as a gift from book retailer Okian and it has since become by training Bible. It's massively detailed and every time I read again one of its chapters I understand better what the author meant. Basically everything I read in this book and then applied in my training was validated by personal experience. Foreword by former cycling pro Christian Vande Velde is a bonus for this book. The only down side is that Cycling Anatomy only covers training needs for road cycling, without a word about specific training for mountain-biking, track cycling, randonneuring, etc. But it more than satisfies my training needs and it's absolutely worthy of a 5-star rating.

It's a good book for cyclists who want to start at the gym or anyone who wants to know how specific muscles work while cycling.
