This story may have a short page count but it definitely packs a punch. Tipton combines chemistry with suspense, human difficulties with paranormal awesomeness in this wild adventure. I enjoyed the introduction to Audrey’s. It’s such a fun place. Tipton develops it enough that you get a feel for it, but at the same time leaves things open for readers to imagine it their own way as well.

The characters in this novel were what really caught my attention. The Viking Berserker was quite well developed. I enjoyed how Tipton developed the duality of his personality. Not only that, but he was also a truly drool worthy individual, who was a good person to boot. Combined with an equally volatile heroine, you have a fantastically explosive couple.

This one is short & sweet, and hot as you please. It’s a nice, quick introduction to Tipton’s world of the supernatural that I’d definitely recommend to others.

Mikkel is a viking in the modern world. Joanna starts to work in the same company he works. The first time they see each other doesn't go very well. Both of them have anger management problems. And they attend the same therapy group.
After the meeting they decide to have a drink together. And very strange things happen...
I don't know what to say. I didn't like it but I didn't hate it. I don't know if that makes sense.
The good thing is that the story is really short and it's very easy to read.

In a word, explosive! Fiery tempers running amok, blazing passion, sizzling hot and the suspense as the clock ticks down on certain death! All that in only a few pages, not an easy feat! Add some feisty humor, two beings with out of control tempers, one being a hotter that blazes thousand-year-old Viking and bring on the fans, the smelling salts and possibly a cold shower.

A.J. Tipton's Her Fiery Viking is a short trip through the literary chemistry room, when a modern day woman and an immortal Viking cursed to live forever hope the heat of their passion is more powerful than the flames of his curse.

Great dialogue, a touch of suspense and scorching passion, A.J. Tipton can write without wasting words. Were this any longer, with a deeper plot and more character development afforded longer reads, my Kindle would have combusted, itself!

I received this copy from A.J. Tipton in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! don't get this guy angry you don't just get burnt. A curse has left Mikkel withy a very fiery problem and an immortal life, the only way to keep calm seems to be sex. New on this particular job Joanna also has anger issues though not the incinerating type, she also has problems with guys she works with only seeing her as an object for sexual harassment which has cost her a few jobs. Its not a very long book but is an exciting and explosive one, no time get to comfy as its one thing after the other keeping you on edge and needing to stay glued to the pages. This is the first book I have read by these joined authors and I wasn't disappointed, if you like a spicy hot but short read then this is definitely worth reading. Plenty of content and characters you quickly like.

Got for free for an honest review.

Mikkel and Joanna are likable characters. They both pulled me in wanting to know why they have such anger management problems and must go to meetings on it. The two have great chemistry and heat up the pages. I thought the story was well written. It’s a first for me reading about vikings with curses and in modern day. The story had a great steady pace that kept me reading, and enough going on to keep my attention.

Thank you for sharing your books and series with me.

Author AJ Tipton’s “Her Fiery Viking: A Paranormal Romance”
Reviewed by Author Holly Newhouse for Eternal Book Reviews on April 12, 2015

Just as devotees of certain television shows wish for longer seasons and more episodes, readers of AJ Tipton’s “Her Elemental Viking Series” are left ending one book reluctant to return to the world of reality and yearn for one more page, one more book that will touch the heart and soul. In this regard, AJ Tipton has been more than accommodating. In her continuation of this series, “Her Fiery Viking: A Paranormal Romance (Her Elemental Viking Series),” AJ Tipton writes in such a way that readers can feel as if they are right inside the book and as if they have stopped reading and are now watching a movie play out that only they can see and it is by far an amazing movie. This is a trait she shares in common with some of history's greatest authors.
As I read the well written and descriptive prose contained within this amazing book, I was struck by the variety of emotions this fantastic author was able to evoke within myself. As someone who loves books in the paranormal genre, I was extremely fascinated by the depth of the characters contained within the lines of this book for which the author has insightfully named. You meet Mikkel, who has been cursed with one heck of a fiery temper that he’s unable to control. He also can’t control his lust for the beautiful and Sexy Joanna who also has an uncontrollable temper herself and who wants nothing to do with Mikkel, or at least that’s what she leads others to believe. Their chemistry is an inferno of heat, compassion and understanding. These two along with other characters in the book will take you on a fast paced thrill ride of sexual tension, infernos of epic proportions, anger issues and a love that can save all. It’s the kind of love every woman wants and the kind of alpha male many women can only fantasize about. Her Fiery Viking will take you for the ride of your life!
Many of the themes in the book about loss, pain, chaos, anger, hilarious laughter and that all-consuming love really resonated with this reviewer and kept me fascinated with the story as I yearned to read faster and faster to see what would happen next between the two. They will also resonate with readers of the paranormal romance and romance genres who will not experience a single dull moment while reading this amazing book!
A favorite part in the book is when Mikkel yells at Joanna aka Jo to run away and she flat out tells him to shut up and look at her now. The scenes are so realistic and believable as well as being exceptionally written that one can’t helped but imagine being right there with the two main characters in the story. The character development is exceptional and realistic, the setting of the scenes had just enough description to capture the reader’s attention but not overdo it, and the same can be said for the dialogue between characters and the descriptions of the characters themselves. I could really see everything while reading the book and that is a big plus with me, especially when the author gives just enough to spark the reader's imagination but not too much as to over-inform. The scenes lead logically in to the following one and the story line flowed very nicely while the plot was fantastic and well developed. There were minor grammatical errors here or there, very few in fact and they were not significant enough to stop this review from reading and would have never noticed them at all.
It is often said that a truly amazing author always gives a part of his or her soul in their writing and that can absolutely be said for AJ Tipton as well. This amazing author has made a new fan out of this reviewer.
I highly recommend this book to lovers of paranormal romance who seek out beloved authors that can deeply move them and send them on a roller coaster ride of various emotions throughout the story. Although, if you're not a fan of paranormal romance and it's unique prose then this book is probably not for you.
I definitely give this book 20 stars which is my highest praise for any book because it is just that good!

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

It’s strange how someone who knows anger so well can be the one who helps you find your peace. I never would have thought a bad temper would lead you to your soulmate, but in this case Mikkel and Joanna are make for each other.

Joanna started losing her temper after her sister died and she realized how inept the human population truly is. After that, even the simplest of things pushed her over the edge.

“I am grateful for my hobbies. She stopped, amended. My hobby. Which consists of sitting in a bar drinking my liver to death so I don’t go after the world with a tire iron.”

Mikkel was cursed by a witch and when he loses his temper he literally explodes with rage. After so many years he still can’t control it as well as he’d like, though he sure does try.

“Mikkel had tried to keep his temper all day. Having to work with a killer hangover was one thing, being mocked by a worm was another, but being rejected by the woman he wanted more than anyone in centuries…it was more than he could handle.”

The attraction between Mikkel and Joanna is crazy instant, and the things that she thinks are so contradictory to her words that it’s kind of funny. But despite her words she can’t resist a Viking. And no matter how many women he’s had, no one will drive him as crazy or make him as needy as her.

Her Fiery Viking has sex, humor, a crazy lunatic, and a very useful stun gun. It could have easily been made into a much longer book, but if you’re looking for a mouthy chick, a sexy Viking, backroom-can’t-make-it-home sex mixed with kidnapping and a creepy man with homicidal tendencies then this is the perfect quick read.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: When Joanna realized how old Mikkel is her mind just rambles in attempt to comprehend and it’s hilarious.

“… There wouldn’t even be tomatoes in Europe until he was two hundred years old! He couldn’t have eaten pizza until he was a thousand!”

I received this book from the author for an honest opinion.

I was approached by the author to read this really super quick story. I am super swamped but thought a quick 60 page story would be a nice break from one story to the next, so I agreed.

I enjoyed the story of Mike and his curse. I enjoyed what happened to him and how he has been living his live essentially for the past 1,000 years....Lonely, angry and crabby. He is just kinda going theough the motions of life with anyone who will allow him to warm the bed.

I thought that Jo was a perfect match for Mike in that they both have the same angry outlook on life. Him for his loss and her for her loss. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two and thought that the story flowed as well as it can being so short......I think that this common ground is what helps her to help him in the end with what is happening.....

I guess my only "issue" with the book was the fact that if Jo was so concerned with sexual harrassment, she wouldnt be jumping into the closet at a bar with one of the guys she worked with considering she has sued her last 3 employeers? I guess I just didnt see that coming from her if she KNEW he was someone she would work with......If they met and did that before she found out he was someone she worked with...sure.

REVIEW
New to me author.

Mikkel is a Viking who is older than dirt thanks to a curse placed on him by a crazy witch. He is now forever immortal and not only that when he gets angry he literally becomes fire. He has gone through life bedding women and just partying pretty much.

His company now needs another secretary of sorts as he keeps sleeping with them. Well enter Joann a woman with an attitude. Mikkel can’t seem to resist but something is happening. He is yearning for her touch and wants so much more with Joann.

They both end up in anger management classes which is hilarious to say the least. One of the men at work decides to take matters into his own hands. Will Mikkel be able to rescue Joann or does she even need rescuing?

This is a very short but very explosive read. Its full of action , and passion is unbound. Very sexy and very much the Alpha male is Mikkel but Joann brings him to his knees.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.

"Hooked and dying for more"
Would you listen to Her Fiery Viking: A Paranormal Romance again? Why?
Yes I just love paranormal romance stories that get to the point and don't leave you hanging. But I would love to hear allot more from this author.

What other book might you compare Her Fiery Viking: A Paranormal Romance to and why?
I'm not sure this book was pretty different than others I've listened too.

What does Audrey Lusk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She was a great voice for all the main characters. I liked how her voice changed for each characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Bigger than life and hotter than hell.

Any additional comments?
I can't help but be surprised at how the author added in the piggy kinda guy at the office. To the hero falling in love with the woman he had to save. The villain pig that needed to go down. All in a story-line that could be listened to all in one setting. None of it felt like she was jumping around or skipping an important detail. The story-line is fast paced and gripping so you feel like you can't just stop or put it down. I just hope this is just one of many she has for us. Because I for one can't wait for what's next.

Being an immortal viking in the modern age proves to be difficult. Mikkel feels trapped in a world of loneliness. He has to watch his attitude because if gets too upset well he bursts into flames but when Joanna comes again, he begins to feel something he hasn't felt before.

Joanna is in a class of her own. Haunted by her own demons and full of anger herself, she struggles to maintain normality. Can these two save each other or will they both be swallowed by the fire burning within?

I haven't read A.J. Tipton before and I usually struggle with paranormal because it has to have a certain flavor to keep my interests. Once I started Her Fiery Viking I couldn't put it down. There is such a unique twist to it and I really enjoyed reading it. The only thing I would've liked to see is more of an emphasis on Mikkel's past but overall it was a wonderful story and I look forward to reading more of Tipton's work.

Holy smokes! ;)The premise to this story was so unique, and I just knew an awesome story was in between these virtual covers! While I think the story could have been a little longer and maybe the tension between Mikkel and Jo drawn out a little more, what tension WAS there was totally hot!I enjoyed reading Mike because he was burdened and vulnerable. He was aware of both aspects of himself, and he worked hard to become a better person in spite of them.Jo was much the same way. I liked her because she was VERY feisty, and she and Mike played well off of each other.I was wondering how the book would end with a Happily Ever After, given his immortality and her lackthereof, but I felt AJ ended the story in a perfect way for these two!***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

It's rare that you see any romance or erotica books with Vikings in them and I loved the fact that one was the main character in this. It was very well written and I liked the direction. I did feel that it moved a bit quickly through some scenarios that I would have liked to have had more depth, e.g. their histories and them getting to the point of falling in love. I'm a 'gradually building up to love' kind of girl myself. Great short read though!

Joanna has anger management issues that are almost destroying her everyday life. Mikkel is a Viking cursed to live an immortal life and have hair trigger anger issues. The only problem is, when Mikkel gets angry, people die. Can this match made in heaven get past the first stage or is the world out to get them?

Wow. Her Fiery Viking by A.J. Tipton is such a good read. It was a short read and I listened to it on Audible while doing my chores.

The book was definitely different than what I thought it was going to be. Besides that, this book was a good read and it carries a big punch with a lot of things happening.

The main character Mikkel is a hot-tempered immortal man with a curse on him. It also doesn’t help his curse to have anger issues that can leave him in some sticky situations. It doesn’t help being a Viking working a job that he can blow things up for a living. Well mostly just buildings.

The main love interest is Joanna. She also has anger issues but not as bad as Mikkel and it also doesn’t help that she’s not cursed an immortal. She is able to take care of herself and is able to help Mikkel out with a lot of things. She also gets herself stuck in a dangerous situation with one of Mikkel’s coworkers completely on accident.

The descriptions in the book painted vivid pictures in my head about the places and the people in the book along with what they were doing.

The narrator for the book Audrey Lusk was also very good at bringing those pictures to life in my head. She did a good job with narrating and using different voices for each of the characters.

I am giving Her Fiery Viking by A.J. Tipton and narrated by Audrey Lusk 3.5 stars because it did keep me entertained and guessing but a few things about it I didn’t like. I would recommend this book to my very adult readers that like to read smut.

Anyways until the next time enjoy this review brought to you by

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.
This was a quick workplace romance with one main character that is a cursed viking. I thought this was going to have a more paranormal aspect to it but it didn't really show itself until the end. I liked it but I wished the author had made it a little bit longer and fleshed out the characters and their relationship more. I think the storyline has a lot of potential. This was a good afternoon listen with a couple of hot moments and it wraps up neatly without cliffhanger.

The narrator did a good job in this performance.

Audiobook version:
Interesting Story- quite unique. I liked that the characters were both working through something in which they could relate. I liked the paranormal glimpse we got but wish there would have been more. I think this book is perfect for the romance package- a short interesting read.

I was a little torn on the narration. Narration itself was good but the voice just felt off for the characters. That being said, it was clear and articulate. I just didn't feel it was a good match in this story.

So... Not gonna lie, I had a hard time with this one, but I pushed through because it's short. Neither Mikkel nor Joanna are very likable characters (even with their mutual anger issues explained) and the plot was not interesting enough to enhance the experience. Even the bit of action in the end (which sort of came out of nowhere) didn't really perk up the story. I wouldn't say it's a waste of time and it's the first Viking paranormal romance I've read - but I doubt I'd relisten/reread, nor do I care to continue with the series. :/ 2 out of 5 wine glasses.

Her Fiery Viking by A.J. Tipton was a great read. This is book one in Her Elemental Viking series. Mikkel is an ancient viking who is not only immortal but can burst into flames at anytime. A very hot story for such a short book. This has insta-lust for sure but with a bit of a jump in time, the love comes. The uniqueness of a curse was interesting to listen to as well.

I couldn't get on with this book. The main character constantly changed who he was. It really threw me off. Very indecisive and is meant to be a man of power. It just doesn't fit right. Definitely needs re-working.
