This story doesn’t start with a daring bank robbery in broad daylight, or a chain of unsolved serial killings. It doesn’t involve a high speed chase across Italy in a stolen yellow Ferrari, and there’s definitely not enough of a budget for a steamy sex scene involving Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence. In truth, this story begins with a brown fabric lounge covered in cigarette burns and coffee stains. There are two chronic schizophrenics sitting on it, and I am one of them.
I enjoyed the humor of the narrating character, but this book was a bit difficult to read at times. I would not exactly call this a "Psychological Thriller" as it was described . I understand a movie was made based on this novel, but I am not likely to see it. I found the four major friends and their interrelationships interesting, but I really never warned to this story.
