Escape
Ashley Myers is abducted, put into suspension for eighteen hundred years, then awakened and integrated into a town she wants no part of. The year is 3813 and nothing will ever be the same again. Wayward Pines is made up of lost souls collected like her, psychopaths, and people biding time, waiting for the right moment to leave this place.

In a futuristic, dystopian world, people are assigned families and live with little to no memory of their true pasts, from almost 2000 years before. Products of science, these people live in the town of Wayward Pines without consequence, until the day “they” came.
Ashley was once an FBI agent, working undercover in 2013 to discover what happened to several FBI agents who have disappeared. Kidnapped, held in cryogenic stasis for 1800 years, she is the only one who knows what evil lurks behind this idyllic town. Determined to leave, to survive, when the “abbys” are released, chaos ensues and a small group, including Ashley and her “family” are among those who escape. Will they be safe in the wilderness? Where did these “abbys” come from? What are they? Were they created by the same madman who rules this unnatural world?
Escape by T. R. Ragan is a brief novella designed to whet one’s appetite for more! Heroes rise, relationships are finally examined and realizations hit home. Intense, well-written and full of detail, there is room for more to come! Will it happen?

Synopsis: This story is a sort of fan fiction for the 3 book series Wayward Pines. This story features Ashley and Dan and how they plan to escape the town after Pilcher has let the abberations in past the gates.
The beginning seemed a bit amateurish but about halfway through the writer got into the swing of the story. I wish the author would have said at what point in the 3 book series this story takes place. I have read all three books in the Wayward Pines trilogy so I already knew what was going on in the real reality of the series. This alternate reality seems to have taken off right before Ethan Burke makes his big decision after the death of Pilcher and the release of the abbeys into the city.
Although, this ending wasn't as satisfying as the ending of the real series, I think this is a good representation of the series and what it stands for.

Another great Wayward Pines story
I just can't get enough of this story line and this one is no exception. This story actually goes on a great tangent at the end beyond Wayward Pines. I hope all of the story lines are incorporated into the upcoming tv show.

wayward pines Escape
I am really enjoying reading the wayward pine series. Escape is about a small group of people who believe that there is life outside of wayward pines and they ventured out to fine people like themselves.
