She’s off limits but the attraction burns so bright it’s impossible to resist.
This collection of seventeen stories charts the spectrum of unwise lesbian desire, gathering tales of women you should resist—but can’t. In Jean Roberta’s Shelter the bad girl’s back from prison. An upper-class lady seduces her maid in Laila Blake’s poignant story set in Regency England, while a Catholic nun is beguiled by a hooker in Lisabet Sarai’s powerful The First Stone.
These women are cops, slave owners, doctors, Dommes, and horse thieves, and you’ll find them at the pool, being seduced by older women, putting their job on the line for lust, or seducing the salt-and-pepper butch.
With stories from writers at the top of their game, including Sacchi Green, Erzabet Bishop, Beth Wylde, Harper Bliss, and Allison Wonderland, this collection is sure to thrill.
G’day and welcome. I’m Cheyenne Blue. I write big-hearted sapphic romance with strong women, mainly set in Australia.
My fifteenth romance, Sometimes We Fly is out April 2025. A closeted celebrity, a furious neighbour, and a whole lot of sexual tension charge this late-in-life coming-out lesbian romance set in rural Sydney.
I hope you enjoy all of my sapphic romances featuring strong women finding love.
Our Woman by Rebecca Lynne Fullan I enjoyed this story overall, but the ending left me scratching my head.
Hands Off by Ava-Ann Holland This story was HOT!!! I would love to read more about Marianne and Nadja. I will be checking out Miss Holland’s other stories when I get the chance.
Shelter by Jean Roberta This story was good.
Ungodly Yours by Allison Wonderland I really enjoyed this story. I actually interrupted my wife while she was watching some TV show to read her a few things in this story that I found humorous. I did get a little lost at times wondering about Nadine and Rebecca’s ages.
The Rules by Rachel O. Esplanade WOW!!! That was so hot that I had to go smoke a cigarette after reading it. I look forward to reading more stories by this author if she ever decides to share more.
The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlet by Emily L. Byrne This was a fun story. I would love to read more about the adventures of Miss Scarlet.
Sunset, Sunrise by Sacchi Green Good story. I would love to see the artwork created from that encounter!
The Clinton County Horse Theif Society by Axa Lee Interesting story.
Freedom by Harper Bliss Beautiful as always Harper!
Ascending Amelia by Erzabet Bishop I loved this story, but I don’t know what to say about it without coming across as an old perv.
Bachelorette Party by Beth Wylde WOW! I really like the way this story ended. Mark sounds like a total ass.
Thanks to Irene by Nicole Wolfe Not a bad story.
Ash by Niki Crow Great story. I would love to read more about Susan and Ash.
The Law of Reciprocity by Laila Blake Excellent story.
Shallow End by L.C. Spoering This was a fun story.
The First Stone by Lisabet Sarai OK story.
Out For The Count by Cheyenne Blue Another fun story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology, I only wish some of the stories were longer.
As soon as I had a flick through and scan of the stories collected here I realised there would be no way to rate each story as better or best. Each story will have to have its own little review. What a collection. Such fun to dip into. Some of the authors featured I have met up with before, and some are new faces.
Our Woman - what a wonderful story to start off this anthology. If they are all as spell binding as this I am going to be in heaven. Fairies and political intrigue and control and the just in the right place the sex and intimacy. Brilliant. Hands Off - wonderful fast paced sexy story. Of course I always love a story that has a dig at plastic, modern Hollywood culture. Shelter - The bad girl from her past appears in the night, stays for a night of passion, with the lurking threat of discovery by the law or something more dangerous. Fast paced, hot sex. Ungodly Ours - Oh my goodness. I am truly blown away by this story. It reads like someone's life. The first chapter I read, saying to myself, what the hell is this, where is this going, and I nearly put it down, but, my god it goes on to grow as the girls grow. I love it. Erotic. Sarcastic. Clever. So clever The Rules - hot, steamy, sporty sex. The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlet - a fabulous story to read and dream your way through a train journey home at the end of the day. Hot, hot, hot. A hint of mystery in detective serial type of fashion. Sunset, Sunrise - full on fast paced, mature, confident, take what you need story. With additional knock your socks off sex scenes. The Clinton County Horse Thief Society - Woo Hoo. The Wild West, horse thieves, sex, law and order and moral justice all in one story. What girl doesn't love a story with the smell of horses, a ride through the wild country and beans and campfire at night. Freedom - wow, is this the ultimate revenge on an ex, or the needing loneliness of a parent, or as the title says, freedom. But how can it be freedom with so many strings attached? I tell you what though, it is pretty insanely wild, free, fabulous sex across age barriers. Loved it and am left at the end going; "so what happens next, does it grow and blossom, could it ever?" Ascending Amelia - nothing like a bit of a fun night out at the club. Add a sweet, lovely new girl and a good time is had by all. Bachelorette Party - okay. Good read, rollicked along with sizzling sex scenes etc. But sorry my sense of fair play and all that stuff gets in the way of tales like this and I look at the others involved and the way choices are made with ease. I wouldn't care if it was the ending of a straight or gay relationship, there are ways to do it with care. So sorry couldn't get into this with enthusiasm. Thanks To Irene - well, what a way to ride out a cyclone. Fun Ash - and playing doctors and nurses, such fun games. The Law Of Reciprocity - romance, the lady of the manor and the servant, in the style of all good period fiction romances, but with a difference. Shallow End -a wonderful summer fling......well end of summer after much teenage longing, with a bored older woman. Raunchy, rollicking sex. The First Stone - what a truly beautiful read. Loved loved loved it. So descriptive. I could smell and taste this story. Wonderful. Out For The Count - and so the last in a pretty amazing collection. And what a great story. Every security person should be allowed to bend the rules maybe once, especially when the temptation is so sweet. Loved it. What a great story, beautifully written.
I have loved this collection. It of course deserves and is getting 5 wonderful stars from me.
From nurses and nuns, to life guards to coaches and maids and slaves, this story has a lot and then some!! These seventeen stories are steamy! Which really is to be expected with the likes of Erzabet Bishop, Cheyenne Blue, Laila Blake and Harper Bliss to name a few. They never disappoint.
Some of these stories are heart breaking, some touching, some freeing, others fun frolics and a few are romantic with a HEA.
While not all of these stories are romantic and not all have the endings I love so much, they were really good and all of them moving. It is refreshing to see that not all stories have to have that same old formula. That an ending doesnt have to end in fireworks and trips down the aisle to be well worth the read. It is something I am realtively new to me but I am learning to accept that other types of endings can be just as good, just different.
The writing styles of these women are perfect for what they have written. It is a great book to read a few now and some later but I could not put it down.
I truly enjoyed all these stories and am grateful to have had the chance to read it. Thank you for bring it to life Ms Blue.
This was a great anthology! I honestly enjoyed all of the stories in the collection but, because there are so many, I will only be touching base on my faves. Shout out to ALL of the authors in this anthology, you should all be so proud of your work because, really, it's great work. I was so very entertained throughout so thank you all of you. Also, thanks be to Harper Bliss and Ladylit Publishing for providing me with the ARC of Forbidden Fruit for review.
Hands Off by Ava-Ann Holland: I really enjoyed the different emotions in this story. Although it is short, you truly get a sense of how the MC feels about her old friend and their past. As well as how she feels about their current decision to meet up. Really, I just loved the daughter. I was pleasantly surprised at how fleshed out these characters could be given such a short amount of time.
Ungodly Ours by Allison Wonderland: When I first started reading this story I didn’t think I was going to like it. Not only because of the religious aspects of it but also the prose and the kind of clunky way it was written. What it turned out to be for me was more like a journal entry and I found myself really appreciating the different story arch. I really loved how what came out of this story was God loving his children and wanting them to be happy in the way they need to be happy. It was a very heartfelt story and I couldn’t help thinking about all the women out there that could relate to this.
The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlet by Emily L. Byrne: Usually I’m pretty firm in my statements of Harper’s stories always being my favorite when I’m reading an anthology, but this time it was a surprise for me. This story tied with Harper’s Freedom as my favorite story in this anthology. Honestly I think it was Scarlet’s character that made this read so much fun for me. She is absolutely the antithesis of me which I always find to be incredible alluring in these stories. I’d be much more like the MC and so I felt like I could really relate to this story. Obviously not so much the being a police officer with a jewelry thief, but the way the MC is wary and self-conscious and Scarlett is so the opposite! Can’t wait to find more by this author!
Freedom by Harper Bliss: It’s Harper so you already know I loved it! This wasn’t a typical story in comparison to the others I’ve read by Miss Bliss but it was easily one of my favorites, not just of this anthology, but of her work in general. I LOVED how the Mother of the MC’s ex-girlfriend approached her and how the whole thing went down. She was such a confident and well put together woman that I probably wouldn’t have been able to say ‘no’ to her either. I also thought it completely hilarious, and totally a real life type of embarrassment ,when she brings up having overheard her say that she “would totally do your Mom”, then calling her out on it. I probably would’ve read a full length story of this one, I was that entertained by the story and the characters.
The Law of Reciprocity by Laila Blake: I thought this was a very sweet story and I really loved how both characters came into contact with each other. It was a very serendipitous kind of story, which I don’t usually like, but I loved how the Mistress was talking about always identifying herself as the Hero in romance tales. I felt like this gave the story some context and made their ending up together more real, in my opinion.
Out for the Count by Cheyenne Blue: I loved this story! The twists and the way each character was playing each other was so much fun for such an erotic read! I’ve had other works by Cheyenne on my TBR pile for a while and I’m thinking I’m going to need to get to those sooner rather than later. This wasn’t your typical storyline for f/f erotica (at least that I’ve read) but I thought it added great background and added some exciting danger aspects without being actually mortally dangerous.
My faves are: Freedom Bachelorette Party The Law of Reciprocity The First Stone There’s a wonderful diversity in the characters and the authors sure know their thing. Thanks again.
Our Woman by Rebecca Lynne Fullan I enjoyed segments of this story, but overall I had no idea what the heck it was talking about so I was sad that it ended without further clarification.
Hands Off by Ava-Ann Holland SUPER hot.. I wish we could've gone up in that room with them...with no hands.
Shelter by Jean Roberta an interesting story. I was a bit confused at times as to their past and how they came to the present, but still interesting enough to make me flip pages quickly to try to figure it out. Sad to see it over too.
Ungodly Yours by Allison Wonderland I didn't like the HEAVY bible references. But then we got little kicks like 'I'm bored with the Lord' and 'do you accept God the Father as your Lord and Master' shortly there after, which was very contradictory to me. Over all though I will say I greatly appreciated the under lying message in the story that was overshadowed, 'we don't get to decide how we're designed.' or even better 'Just because I've fallen for a woman doesn't make me a fallen woman.' which is exactly what I personally believe, but would've like to have seen that been not hidden behind so much Lord, God and sinning references.
Secondly, the character is 18 and still talking like she is much younger, even if she is extremely religious. 'Before long, we're... you know, we're--' when talking about being naked. 'And now, with our... loins leafless, we can begin our genesis.' is another example of how the bible is referenced to heavily for me and not entirely like an 18 year old would think to me.The Rules by Rachel O. Esplanade I absolutely loved this story except for the confusing timeline in the beginning, which threw me for a bit as to when things were happening for the characters. I can't say that I particularly care for the 'you' and 'I' tense used, but other than that it was a great story about forbidden love! The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlet by Emily L. Byrne Cop and thief have SUPER hot meeting on a subway.. with possible future run ins. I will be searching for the (hopeful) sequel to this hot, fierce liaison.
Sunset, Sunrise by Sacchi Green Oooh.. Watch out.. Hot. Forbidden. And over all too quickly for me. Darn that sun for rising and this couple separating.
The Clinton County Horse Theif Society by Axa Lee Aw! I was sad at the way this story turned out. I didn't want Belle to be bad! I wanted her to love Katie the way Katie loved her! I don't want to say what happens but in the end I'm glad Katie gets the closure she needs and hope that she one day finds a woman who loves her more than Belle.
Freedom by Harper Bliss MILF story.. yes please! Loved it. Another great piece of work from Harper! Sexy, well written short story.
Ascending Amelia by Erzabet Bishop Yes! Yes! And YES! A little BDSM for the first time, some spanking and steamy. Very sexy little story and one I wouldn't mind seeing expanded into a whole novel or novella. Relateable characters that have real life emotions and reactions. Well done.
Bachelorette Party by Beth Wylde Beautiful. Discovering there is more than friendship behind all those lingering touches and hate for the fiancee. Another steamy read, but also about finding that Linda was willing to stand by and let Jenny do what Jenny needed to do to be happy even though she wanted so much more. At Jenny's Bachelorette Party, real feeling and emotions are discovered.
Thanks to Irene by Nicole Wolfe Luanna is married to Dina, but for reasons we don't know (or I missed) they are apart when Hurricane Irene comes. Seeking refuge, Luanna goes to Amy, the masseuse. Hm, what I wonder is if Dina will be joining the pair when she finds out or if she will be upset she wasn't included. Great story!
Ash by Niki Crow Seduced by the new lady.. I loved the little scenes (like stopping by Jennie's for a skinny dip and a little finger bang outside).. I wish we could've gotten a longer, more drawn out story with longer scenes in general but I loved the characters and their interactions..
The Law of Reciprocity by Laila Blake I have to admit that my least favorite romances to read are historical, but this story was excellent. I truly enjoyed it. I loved both women and the way they came together.. I do wish we would've gotten a bit more of the story, but still excellent.
Shallow End by L.C. Spoering At first the story was a bit slow for me, building the background and I didn't see where it was going really. Once it got going and I figured out where things were going, it seemed to wrap up all too quick for me, but I still think it was a good, short little story.
The First Stone by Lisabet Sarai I can't say that I cared for this one as it is a taboo topic for me.. A nun breaking her vows. I also didn't care for the fact that she called the people she was supposed to be helping inmates, which isn't how a nun would think in my mind.
Out For The Count by Cheyenne Blue I loved this story. The card counter vs casino security. The backstory was excellently filled in enough that we knew what was going on. The sensual parts were great. I loved the way Cheyenne wrote it and the characters, I will most definitely be picking up her work in the future.
I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
Forbidden Fruit: Stories of Unwise Lesbian Desire is an erotic collection edited by Cheyenne Blue and published by Ladylit Publishing, who are fast becoming a sought-after publisher when it comes to lesbian works.
This collection contains stories from Rebecca Lynne Fullan, Ava-Ann Holland, Jean Roberta, Allison Wonderland, Rachel O. Esplanade, Emily L. Byrne, Sacchi Green, Axa Lee, Harper Bliss, Erzabet Bishop, Beth Wylde, Nicole Wolfe, Niki Crow, Laila Blake, L.C. Spoering, Lisabet Sarai and Cheyenne Blue.
The tales are exactly as you'd expect - about unwise or forbidden lesbian dalliances. We have bad girls, ladies and their maids, nuns, cops, slave owners, doctors and much more. The imagination that's gone into these stories is amazing - not one story is the same, or even similar. Each one has a fantastic take on the forbidden fruit theme. As with all anthologies, though, not all of the stories were to my taste, but the rest of the collection more than made up for it. My particular favourites were The Rules, The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlet and Bachelorette Party.
Varied, hot, naughty and sexy, this is a fantastic lesbian erotica anthology that I'd definitely recommend to fans of the genre. Very enjoyable.
A veritable smorgasbord of forbidden flavors to just waiting to be savored. Within the pages lie naughty thrills for everyone.
Found this collection to be well edited and imaginative. Enjoyed getting another read from authors I already admire as well as discovered a few new ones to watch for in the future. Though some of the stories were more to my own tastes than others, each were well written and varied enough that the anthology was far from the same story with different names and maybe a location change.
I would recommend this for erotica fans looking for some lusty ladies to keep them warm tonight.
** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. **
I am now the proud owner of this beautiful anthology in paperback and when I say 'proud' I actually mean it. Whereas some erotica I even cringe to have on my kindle app this is something I happily put on my real life bookshelf for real life visitors to see. As with every anthology, especially considering how many different contributions this has, not everything in it was for me, but Cheyenne Blue has managed to put together an erotica anthology in which every contributor is a good, intelligent writer in their own right and in which I liked almost every story - both not mean feats. So a well deserved, only marginally rounded up 5 star.
I was given this book free to review awhile ago and just now getting around to reviewing plus I brought it to have in my collection. Here are the ones I truly enjoyed.
Hands Off - HOT is all I can say The Rules - WOW definitely could read more from this author Sunset, Sunrise - HOT and short Freedom - I'm just going to say BLISS Ascending Amelia - Hot and short Thanks to Irene - What a way to ride out a storm Shallow End - Who wouldn't want to be a lifeguard after this :) Out for the Count - I would look the other way too :)
One of the best WLW anthologies I have read. Unlike others, this started with stories that were great and captivated me to want to read on. The icing was also having to read some of my most read writers and being introduced to others.

This is a great collection of short erotica enclosed within excellent writing and quick but complete plot. There's not a less-than-good story in the bunch, while all are individually unique.
A tantalising selection of shorty, smutty stories. Most of them were lush, and very well-written, but a couple I felt too uncomfortable about the power disparities and subsequent ethical quandaries to really get into them. Still, it was an interesting collection - well worth reading.
