Deep Inside the Museum

Rate this book
Amelia Ford is overjoyed to land her dream job as Assistant Curator at the British Museum. It is everything she has been striving to achieve. But by the end of her first day, she crosses paths with a colleague who might be her biggest downfall.
Will McKenzie is arrogant, rude and extremely opinionated - and it doesn’t help that he is deliciously good looking. Amelia is desperate to win his approval and have him mentor her. After all, he is one of the greatest Curators of Egyptian artefacts. But how can she get through his steely exterior?
As Amelia tries to navigate museum life, she starts to have improper feelings for Will and sees that his mentoring might have more to do with her sexual awakening than curating. Which isn’t a bad thing … at all.
But with an important exhibition looming, a woman who is out to sabotage everything she has worked for, and a relationship that shouldn’t be blossoming, Amelia learns that so much more goes on behind the museum’s door.

I am based in Australia but spent many years being educated in London. With degrees in Ancient History and Creative Writing, I naturally felt compelled to write a story set in a museum; however, I didn’t want to write just any fiction story. Due to my desire to create strong sexual female characters, and with a love for a good erotic novel, I chose to combine all of my passions to create Deep inside the Museum.

I absolutely love this book! It is full of loveable characters (that I wish were real); has strong, passionate, witty men and women; has an intelligent plot with interesting snippets of ancient history info thread throughout and is set in the British Museum! And one of the best things is that the sex scenes are brilliantly written. They are saucy, real, emotive and so, so sensual!

I can't wait to read more about Amelia and her relationship with Will. Amelia is one of the best characters I have read in a long while. And Will, well Will just takes my breath away. This book would make a great movie. Move over 50 Shades - 'Deep Inside the Museum' knocks it out of the park. Highly recommend this book, particularly if you like your erotica to be intelligent!

A fun saucy read.

I loved the witty and very real characters. They provide lots of excitement and snarky dialogue. Loved the wonderful descriptions of the museum and London, the author really does brings them to life.....nice historical tidbits sprinkled throughout the story.

Our heroine Amelia is just a sweet fun average girl trying to do the job that she loves and be with her man. Will is an older sexy man who can be standoffish but once Amelia cracks him open he becomes a man in love.

But with all good things, life just had to intrude in the form of an jealous ex-lover and an ex-wife. These are just too much for Amelia to fight......and we are left with a cliffhanger.

The sex scenes were wonderfully written and just so sensual that your toes curl up in pleasure. The supporting characters were nicely fleshed out and lovable. The British way of speaking and sentence structure is a little different than American and a little weird but that all adds to the authenicity.

This was a very interesting and pleasing read, so looking forward to the finale. I adore ancient history (Romans and Eyptians are my favs) , museums, and historic sites so this book was double the fun to read.

Deep inside the Museum was a lot of fun to read. An easy page turner that was entertaining, light and romantic too. The characters are interesting and I think I may have fell a little bit in love with Will. The characters are flawed, good looking, sexually empowered and seem to like having a good time!

First and foremost it's a bit of a love story - but the relationships between all the characters are developed and compelling enough to keep me speed reading through the book!

It's got some sexy one liners and some great sex scenes that are not for reading in public places!!

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good story, loves a bit of an office romance and wants to be entertained.

OS Fiderro has managed to turn an office romance into something engaging and a little bit naughty. Some of the turns of phrase are quite magnificent and should become part of our vernacular!

Amelia Ford, a passionate, smart, beautiful, captivating young woman in the archaeology field who just accepted to being an Assistant Curator at The British Museum, her dream job. She had such a great long term relationship with Graham the Senior Finance Manager in one of the biggest company in town. They have a wonderful life together.

Until her mentor at the British Museum, Carina introduce her to Will McKenzie, one of the greatest curator of Egyptian artifacts with great hair and great green eyes and a fuckable face and body but with a bad attitude and arrogant male form.

Everything in her perfect world is upside down after the sweet Graham enter that gentleman's club and met Sharnay...

For me this story was a kind of sweet love story with an normal intensity, predictable scene or chapter, less of surprises.
It's still a great story from a great author.

Deep Inside the Museum, as envisioned by author O.S. Fiderro things are indeed deep. Deep between the thighs of more than of its curating staff, or deep in the politics of a not for profit, fund raising machine. This version of the British Museum, Egyptology department has much that would keep Cleopatra herself twitching her fingers to find out who is doing what to whom and why. Our young ,oh so nubile , and eager Amelia Ford meets us on day one at her dream job as Assistant Curator this highly respected department.

She has only so much time to accept that her boss is so much the kind of man she hates, must impress and desires to bed. Just what is a girl wanting to be on the make, that is to make her profession, or is it to mate or, well maybe she is a multitasker.

Credit to the author for making things complicated and lubricious. This is intended to be a series and having teased the reader’s desires and curiously there are loose ends, in the plot. Just what ends were you thinking about? There are holes to fill if any of the followup books get written. Come on, minds outta the gutter… or maybe not. Certainly not for the kiddies. Not the hottest of sex scenes but compliments to Fiderro for giving the reader more to the plot than sex.

Arc received in exchange for an honest review.

This was my 1st read from this author and although I wasn't blown away I enjoyed the read.

I was under the impression that this was Amelia 's story about her long enduring love of the museum and the job she has wanted forever. Now as an Assistant Curator at the British museum, and has her long time boyfriend, everything is perfect.

Until she meets Will, a collegue at the museum, he is arrogant, an ass in general and has no problem making Amelia 's life difficult. Very quickly Amelia realises that despite the fact he is an ass and she has a boyfriend ahe is drawn to him, wanting his hands on her. A simple innocent (or not) kiss will change everything.

Will has worked hard to be where he is and is good at his job, but the entrance of new collegue Amelia has him acting all weird, he wants to hate her but is drawn towards her, knowing that is a bad idea he tries to make life difficult for her at the British museum. He is known as a meanie, but good little Amelia wakes something in him.

It seems that Will is not the only one that has it in for her. Kristina hates her from the 1st moment, but that is nothing new, she pretty much hates everyone except Wil, she loves Will and will do anything in her power to keep Amelia away.

All of a sudden Amelia discovers she is not the only one with secrets. Everyone at the museum seems to be hiding something, this also includes her long time boyfriend Graham. Very quicly everyone's indescretions are in the open, it seems not everything is at seems and everyone is not who they say they are at this museum.

I look forward to the final installment of Amelia and Will's love story.

Well to start with this review I would like to say that this book was AMAZING and it would have been a 5 stars review if not for the cheating factor in the book, which is something I hate… yeah bad experiences with liars.

The story was intriguing, just reading the excerpt made me want to know what happened.

Amelia is young but motivated and I enjoyed her a lot. She was a bit childish from time to time, but who isn’t. My favorite thing about her was her passion for what she did, her job was so much more than that to her, and even though we couldn’t tell at first, she had passion also for love and sex.

Will is a completely different animal, he starts as a player who doesn't care about anything, but when we get to know a little bit more about him we understand the attitude.

The way the book is written is different than other books I've read, everyone gets the spotlight since we are told the story by all off the characters in first person.

The sex scenes are amazing too, and I loved Will and Amelia's first interactions, hot to say the least !

It's a must read for me !

I can't wait for the next book!
Beware though, there's a huge cliffhanger!!

We meet Amelia as she starts her dream job at the British Museum. Just as she feels everything in her life is on track well, we all know, that's when life throws you a curve ball. As she faces the end of her long-term relationship, things heat up with Will, a co-worker, even though relationships are forbidden in the workplace. Will is a challenge for Amelia, he runs hot and cold but he also was hooking up with the queen b*tch, Katrina, at the museum. Now that Will has moved on to Amelia, well let's say Katrina is going to make life interesting for Amelia as she fights to get back what she had. Just as Amelia feels like she's got her feet under her, well, new secrets are revealed and Will drops a bomb which leads us to our cliff hanger. On the whole this is an enjoyable story, it does get a bit confusing because we get a variety of viewpoints but once you get used to that it works and adds to the drama – we know what Katrina is really thinking, not just Amelia and Will. I appreciated the complexities interwoven throughout the story along with learning about what it's like to work at a museum behind the scenes. The story does need some editing just to clean up the rough edges but you can still appreciate the intricacies to the characters and their relationships.

Completely blown away! I was kindly given a copy of this book by the lovely author in exchange for an honest review. I really loved how this book was written especially with the different points of view I felt It gave me an insight into the other characters aswell as the Amelia and Will.
Amelia is driven and passionate about her new job at the museum, she wants to do everything she can to make an impression, what she doesn't expect is to get caught up in the drama within the museum. Falling for a colleague was not part of her plan and something the neither the museum board or Will ' s ex fling with tolerate.
Will is happy with his casual flings but Amelia walks in and flips everything on its head, she makes him want more. Will wants to protect Amelia from getting hurt but when he decides that he wants no one but Amelia and ends things with his fling she swears revenge. Just as things might be looking up life throws something else their way they might not be able to get through.
I couldn't believe the cliffhanger end I just wanted the story to keep going, I was hooked and definitely need to see what happens for Amelia and Will next.

** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**

I'm not sure where to start. I suppose I'll explain the three stars I rated it, only due to the fact that I can't give a half a star. I wanted to give three and a half. The reason I only gave that rating was that this book needs some more editing. The storyline seemed to drag out at times. I didn't need to know name brands of cologne or clothing. But maybe that's the authors style. The storyline itself was good. I wasn't sure how Will could go from an arrogant ass to an honorable man, but I was pleasantly surprised. Amelia was a good lead. I was also surprised by some of her choices. The way the story played out had some hot and steamy scenes, holy hotness. And then it ends with a huge cliffhanger. Now I have to get the next book to see what is in store for Amelia, Will and the rest of the characters. I had no idea there could be so much drama behind the scenes of a museum. But it makes sense and adds to the story as a whole. A good add to your tbr list.

*I got this e-book from the author so I could read it & give my honest thoughts about it!*

I think I would give this book 3.5 - 4 stars. It was a pretty quick read for me but some parts dragged on a little bit. O.S. Fiderro did a really good job putting in the many fine details of the story. I think it still needs to be looked over by an editor again because there were a few minor mistakes but good otherwise.

A few things I did like:
It was steamy! It had many sex scenes and they were pretty awesome.
I also loved the characters! They were very likable and I couldn't wait to learn more about their lives as the story went on.

A few things I didn't like:
the fact that the "C-word" was used for the womens body parts was terrible to me. (im from the u.s so maybe it's different in other places) The word to me is an insult & usually isn't used nicely.
And I wasn't happy with was the ending.

With that being said I know its ending was ment to have me coming back for more & i will be!
I look toward to reading the sequel!

2 Stars

Amelia has just started in her dream job as a curator in the Brittish Museum, with a sweet, realiable live in boyfriend, her job is all she ever wanted and there she meets Will, the star curator, who's a bit of an asshole as much as he's sexy and brilliant. After being put together to work on a project, feelings and passion scalate and things get sexy.Maybe too sexy.

What could've been better: sticking to only one POV or maybe two. Each charachter had his own POV and we jumped from one "voice" to another... it was a bit confusing. Also, . And it was a bit too much sex, not actually a conversation between them, I think. Too much of an instant love for me. It felt too rushed, jumping from one situation to the other so quickly it gave me headaches.

I'm intrigued though... I want to know what happens, because it ends with a cliffhanger, so I'll read the next one.

Oh my god!!!! Please tell me the sequel is out and waiting for me!!!!! I need to know what happens next!!!!!
Well written, well researched with an interesting story, thrilling twists and a very effective cliffhanger this book is addictive!!!! Amelia, our female lead is just a magnet for troublesome but handsome men and it is a rollercoaster to follow!!!! Passionate, impulsive and an interesting character she will captivate you! On a psychological level, we will be exposed to the difference between men and women, and how they view or act in relationships! The selfishness of one against the selflessness of another, the opposite views on relationships and their priorities, the reactions on cheating, jealousy, cattiness.... But overall and to keep it light, this sexy, thrilling and addictive book is a great contemporary romance!!!!! I loved every minute and can't wait to read what happens next!!!!! Two Thumbs Up!!!!!

This one was ok. It had a steady pace and held my attention most of the time. The story is full of cliches, which is not always a bad thing(cheesy Lifetime movies anyone?), but here they seemed to detract instead of enhance. However, I did appreciate the dynamic portrayal of the villainess Kristina, and I actually felt sorry for her despite all the drama she caused. I also enjoyed the freshness of the museum setting for a romance/erotica novel. Overall there were some great moments here, and Fiderro is a strong writer. I look forward to watching this author develop her voice.
