Wild Irish #7

Any Given Sunday

Rate this book
Sean loves Lauren. Chad loves Sean. Lauren loves Sean and Chad.

Sean is happy working at the family pub and sharing a house with the woman of his dreams. He and Lauren are equals in every way, including in bed, where they burn the sheets. Life is good. Even if he must hide a couple of secrets to keep it that way.

Lauren is madly in love with Sean. They share everything—almost. She can’t deny sensing…something. A certain feeling when she, Sean, and their best friend Chad are all together. But she doesn’t press. How can she when she’s not being completely forthright herself?

Chad is feeling pretty miserable and renting a room in Sean and Lauren’s home has only made it worse. In a house filled with secrets, Chad’s are doozies.

When an opportunity arises to explore their deep desires, the trio plunges into a sex-filled, emotionally charged ménage. Long-buried feelings are revealed, changing their lives irrevocably. Whether for better or worse, only Sean, Chad and Lauren can decide.

This Wild Irish book is the 7th instalment in the series and is about the youngest Collins sibling, Sean! He is in a relationship with his girlfriend and has his best friend living with them as well. Thing is, Sean is not only in love with his girlfriend; but with his best friend Chad too! Only Chad is unaware of the feelings Sean has been harbouring since they were teenagers.

In this story we get not only a ménage; but some m/m action too! When theses three finally give in to their desires sparks more than fly! The fear though is what will others think when the relationship comes out for all to know?

I keep saying this, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I'm sad to see it coming to an end. The next novella is the last and I will be sorry I have to say goodbye. Can't wait to check out this authors back list though!

The seventh and final book in the Wild Irish series was Chad’s story as much as it was Sean’s. Not only are they in love with the same girl, Lauren, but they have feelings for each other. This was by far the most intense book in the series. I adored Sean throughout the previous books and was happy to see him reveal his true self. He was so deserving of finding love, albeit not in the traditional way. Same goes for Chad, I was glad to see him come out of his shell, and admit that he was capable of loving both Sean and Lauren. Speaking of Lauren, she annoyed towards the end of the book and I almost wished she was not part of the relationship. In the end though, it was all good, and made for some very hot steamy sex scenes! The epilogue was so sweet, it gave me the warm fuzzies. So with a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat, I regretfully say goodbye to the Collins clan. It was great ride! I’ll be back to visit again someday.

Thanks again Kris for bringing this series to my attention!

**NOTE: The book description that is shown with this book is not correct. So if anyone knows how to fix this, or who to address on this matter, let me know. It’s somewhat confusing. Thanks!

Mari Carr did not disappoint in her last installment of the Wild Irish series. This book may be short but does not skimp on emotion and great characters.

Sean and Lauren are ready to move on to the next step in their relationship but something is missing. They love each other and have a great intimacy but they both know they are not complete. Enter Chad- Sean's long time best friend. He has been on the outside looking in. He is in love with both Sean and Lauren- but doesn't want to ruin their relationship by admitting it.

I loved watching this relationship develop. Sean and Chad were sexy alphas dominating Lauren. But I got teary eyed the first time Sean and Chad came together, it was beautiful.

This was a fantastic read.

I really enjoyed watching all three of these friends work their way out of friendship and into love. Obviously Sean has grown up with the most gregarious family, one who will accept any relationship as long as their family is happy. There have been a few unique match up amongst his siblings. But Sean wants something even his family might find a stretch. He's in love with not just his long time girlfriend, but the best friend he's had for years. But whether there's a future for the three of them or not relies on a lot of different factors and Sean doesn't control them all. But Lauren's and Chad's research assignment gives him just the opening he needs to see if what he thinks could be possible can be.

I liked how each combination of the three of them worked together. Lauren works with both Chad and Sean, but so do Sean and Chad. There's a good balance amongst them all and it never felt too weighted to one combination with someone being left out. I liked how everything worked out especially as this leans more towards erotica than story. There was a fair amount of depth to the emotional layers of these characters.

Ok, so, I can't really think of where to start with this review. I'm giving it 4 stars ONLY because the meaning behind the story is actually heart melting, and ALSO, because I loved the Epilogue and I cried. It was so lovely.

I am troubled ONCE AGAIN! I mean, ok, writers like to fantasize about many things, situations, events...well, anything; I guess that's the whole purpose of writing a book, BUT COME ON!!!! who lives in a relationship OF 3! Can a woman REALLY love two men at the same time? Think about psychological consequences for children, or the implication of WHO'S THE FATHER OF THE BABY? which last name are we gonna give him? HELLO!!! this simply doesn't happen in real life, and if it does...the society is STILL learning to deal with several other issues to reach that point YET. Im not saying its crazy, I'm just trying to picture the scenario.. Now, I have no problem with gay relationships. I am absolutely pro gay and 90 % of my male friends are gay. However, I just don't like to read m/m stories. I have to admit that this particular one did caught my attention, and basically its nothing too outrageous or scandalizing, one half m/m scene is OK i guess..

As you read thru the whole serie, you'll find out that Sean, being the baby of the family has matured to become a responsible man and has achieved a lot since the first book when he's barely graduating from HS and Keira is barely meeting Will. But Sean knows since those days that he is bisexual and the situation that Keira encounters with him triggers your curiosity. (i kinda thought he was completely gay) anyways, thru all the rest of the books, Sean is all you would like to find in a brother. Chad is absolutely mad when he confronts his sister's desition of living in a threesome, but secretly you could kinda guess he thinks about the same situation himself. I have to admire Lauren, tho i honestly cant imagine myself loving two men equally.

Overall this has been an unexpected and really great reading treat for me. I simply love Irish men:)

NOTE: I've read all 7 books in this series before writing this review, so I might make some comparisons every now and then. Even though I'll mention this in the reviews: the sex scenes are guaranteed flaming hot.

This is the final book in the Wild Irish series and what a blast it was! Sean has been dating Lauren for years and they decided to move in to their own place. Chad has always been on the sidelines but Lauren secretly lusted after him. What's amazing is Sean knows about this and doesn't mind at all, and I only figured this out halfway through the book the same time Lauren did – that he's also in love with Chad.

We remember Chad acting with hostility when he found out Lily is doing a threesome with Killian and Justin, and Sean accepted things as they are, even citing that no one ever knows how many trios there are. Eventually, things turned out well – rejections and all in that story – but what about in this story?

There's a lot of emotional turmoil when it comes to Chad and Sean. If you remember the black eye Sean got from a fight with Chad in the first book, it's explained here. I really felt for Sean because it was clear how he loves Chad, and Chad being himself is confused because he's responding. The sexual tension between Lauren and Chad was palpable and I'm glad how Sundays are their day.

So it's only fitting about Sunday's child, said the nursery rhyme. “The child who is born on the Sabbath day, is bonny and blithe and good and gay.”

- FMC: Lauren
- MMC's: Sean, Chad
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Sean, Lauren, Chad)

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Sean and Chad have been friends since they were kids. They've both been best friends with Lauren since freshmen year of college. And Sean and Lauren have been dating for the past two years.

To say their relationship is complicated is an understatement. Because Lauren isn't just in love with Sean, she secretly loves Chad too. And both Chad and Sean have been harboring feelings for each other for years.

The complicated emotions between them all come to a head when Chad and Lauren are assigned with an unusual assignment for their Human Sexuality psychology class. And it might just push the three of them to finally be honest about their feelings for each other.

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
REVIEW:

I adore the ménage setup for this one. The two guys being best friends for years and having long-harbored feelings. The girlfriend they both want. The relationship setup between the three of them reminded me a bit of Give Me More (which I loved). I really loved that all three of them are so close and even already live together.

The gradual coming out of their feelings and attraction was well done and realistic. I definitely felt the chemistry between them. The steam was hot and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The one thing I didn't like was that Chad kind of irked me at times. He's struggling with this whole setup and his feelings for both Lauren and Sean (especially Sean). So he pushes them away more than I would've liked. I didn't hate his character, but in these moments I wanted to strangle him a bit.

The entire Collins clan was so fun and entertaining. Loved their family dynamic. I don't necessarily think I'll read the others in the series though, mainly because I picked this one up because it's a ménage. And most of the others are not menages (except Lily, Killian and Justin's book, but that's MFM and not MMF).

Overall I liked this one a lot. Was it perfect? No. But it was a great MMF ménage read and it was quite steamy and sweet.

Awesome book! Perfect read!

Memorable Scenes:
- The scene in which Chad confessed to kissing Lauren and Sean's reaction that followed > very powerful and pivotal scene.
- The baby shower (not spoiling who's shower) > both emotional (serious talk between Lauren and Keira) and LOL funny
- The 3 Sundays > some of the best ménage sex scenes I've read since I started reading erotic romance

Trope/themes:
Ménage, friends-to-lovers, D/s, spanking, m/m, toys,

The main characters in ANY GIVEN SUNDAY are Sean Collins, Lauren Chase and Chad Watterson. They have been friends forever and at the beginning of this book Lauren and Sean decide to move in together and for various reason invite their best buddy to shack up with them. What they don’t know is that each individually has yearnings he or she is hiding deep down…yearnings that make their living together a lot more complicated than they could have imagined.

Sean is the youngest Collins sibling. He’s impulsive, romantic, outgoing and a heart on his sleeve type of guy. Throughout the series Sean was always an element of tranquility among the boisterous Collins family. He was the one with sound advice and a listening ear for his siblings when they were balancing on the amorous edge.

Chad Watterson is Lily’s younger brother. He’s perceptive, guarded, solitary and an over-thinker. He’s not the most talkative or sociable of men but when he’s in his comfort zone (mostly with Sean and Lily) he loosens up and a different Chad emerges. You might remember Lily as the heroine from SWEET THURSDAY. When I first found and read the blurb for ANY GIVEN SUNDAY I was pretty surprised that Chad was one of the main characters as his reaction to his sister’s relationship with Justin and Killian was pretty explosive. He was considerably younger in that book, but still I was looking forward to all the possibilities this development was going to bring to this book.

The woman in the middle of these two fine specimen of men is Lauren Chase.
She’s direct, open, headstrong, chatty and has a steel backbone. From early in their friendship she’s developed strong feelings for both Sean and Chad but she keeps her feelings for Chad quiet as she and Sean pursue a relationship together. What she doesn’t know is that in their friendship she isn’t the only one keeping feelings hidden and unspoken.

The final installment of this series definitely packs a punch. It started off scorchingly hot and actually never let up. Mari Carr held me captive from start to finish with this journey and exploration into secret and hidden desires. It’s all about admitting and submitting to them. She made ANY GIVEN SUNDAY about love between 3 people...pure and simple yet emotionally complicated

Sean caught my attention from the first time he set foot in this series and his story being the last was both fitting and torturous. Mari Carr definitely delivered on the promise for Sean's story! From the first line to the last I was enthralled by this excellent closure to the Wild Irish series. The prologue at the start sets the tone and once again it was all there: the heat, the family dynamics, the relational dilemmas, the humor, the excellent storytelling and the emotional ending. ANY GIVEN SUNDAY may well be the most intricate book of the series. The HEA isn't as cut and clear as in most of the other books.

I'm in awe of how Mari Carr tackled the ménage-theme in this book, she showed the problems and dilemmas and never took the easy way out. Approaching the possibility of à threesome from all angles and not making it mainly a sexually triggered one makes this book a keeper on my shelves and Mari Carr a definite favorite.

It's known m/m is a trope that is not on my erotic romance menu much. I can count the books that include m/m action that I've liked on one hand and there are very few authors who can make me forget my reluctance to read m/m scenes or romance. Mari Carr turns out to be one of those very few.

I've praised Mari Carr in previous reviews about her ability to keep all the books in this series unique and fresh despite known tropes and recurring subjects and themes and with this book she remained true to form. Underneath all the emotional intensity of this book there's still that humor I like so much in the books. It's subtle, giving way for the intricate and heavy emotional struggles

If you thought previous books in this series were hot, brace yourself for this one! To say ANY GIVEN SUNDAY is one sizzling hot book would be the first and biggest understatement of this new year.

Words fail to describe the emotional impact this book had on me and I can't but give this lovely closing installment of the Wild Irish series my highest rating!

Favorite Quotes:
Years as best friends had bred a comfortable familiarity. It had also built up some pretty deep-seated need in Sean. If he didn’t get her into his bed soon, he was likely to do himself an injury. Sporting a hard-on 24/7 couldn’t be good for anybody.

Chad felt like a middle-aged accountant whenever he stood next to Sean. He spent too much time indoors. While he was trim, no one would call him built. He certainly wasn’t sporting a six-pack. Shit. He’d be lucky to find just one in his pack and his skin was too pale from lack of sun.

She curled against his shoulder as he engulfed her in his large embrace. For once, she wasn’t trying to solve the puzzle. For once, she gave up all her internal struggles and placed herself in Sean’s capable, strong hands. And for the first time in a long time, she felt happy.

(Sean) He’d tossed and turned and jacked off all night as he lay on the couch thinking about Lauren’s proposition and that damn kiss. She’d reached into his head, pulled out all his naughtiest fantasies and was now offering them to him on a silver platter.

She’d been a fool to listen to Riley’s advice. She’d thought she was engaging in a ménage, exploring some wicked fantasies. With her stupid plan, she’d blown the lid off an ancient, unseen volcano and she had a feeling they were all about to be taken down in the ensuing scorching lava flow.

Sean gave them a shit-eating grin before moving to his knees and crawling forward. He didn’t stop until his face reached Lauren’s and he gave her a long, wet kiss. Chad marveled over how natural their closeness felt. He’d always been a firm believer in personal space…but Lauren and Sean fit in his space.

“Drawn forward by some strange impulse, he leaned closer, nuzzling Lauren’s cheek, felt Chad’s breath hot on his face. The three of them were sharing the same space, the same air, and the temperature in the room seemed to rise a hundred degrees in an instant.”

I’ve done this totally backwards...maybe it’s an Irish thing? Having never read Ms Carr’s books before, I begin with the last book in the series. 😂 I’m going to resolve that and read the rest of the books now because The Collin’s family is one I want to spend more time with. This book had me in hysterics at times and leaves you with a smile on your face. So much more than a book based on a ménage relationship. Two of the characters are studying psychology and it was interesting how they not only viewed, but talked each other through any worries. Not only did they have each other, they had support from other family members. Every relationship differs and sometimes you can’t punch yourself out of what is meant to be or be the person you are expected to be by others.
A great way to spend St Patrick’s Day, for a book lover.

Any Given Sunday is the 7th in the Wild Irish series. It can be read as a standalone book, but there is some assumption about knowing the characters before starting this book. There is very little character building in this book.

Lauren and Sean (the 7th and youngest in the Collins family this series is about) are engaged and moving into a home. Sean and Chad have been best friends forever. Chad and Lauren are finishing their psychology doctorates together and hope to build a business together. Chad moves with them and they plan to make him an apartment in their basement. It

As the story goes along, the idea of a ménage and submission both get discussed with a human sexuality class and at home. They decide to explore it together for three Sundays. It opens all kinds of doors and both sexy times and conflict result. The remainder of the book spending time as they resolve their concerns.

Enchanting, Captivating 💋, Romantic ♂️♀️...Any Given Sunday

Mari Carr left the best of the Collins siblings for last. This Sean's story, band wouldn't you have it this is another threesome. This story is definitely different type of threesome than Killian and Justice and of course Lily. I thought it was fascinating and very emotional. Sean is the baby brother and he knows who he is and what he wants. In this story he and his girlfriend Lauren have bought a house 🏘️🏡 together and Sean's bestfriend since elementary school Chad is moving into the basement. Chad and Lauren are going to school to be Psychologists and are in some of the same classes together. This is their story. I started reading these Books 📚📖 after I read Caitlyn's story. So I am back to reading the grands stories. I love 💙💚💚💜 this family. This is a Good Read 👍😊.

I only finished up this series because I already had the wilder one (the follow up with the kids) so I wanted to finish this series out. These are all ok. Each indiv story is really short so I kind of hated paying for each one for that reason. The first 4 were in a set and that was almost equal to one book. I love a good series and do love this family and how all the character kind of pop up in the books. However, besides that they were just ok. They are semi spicy romances but kind of falling flat on all sides. They plots are on really shortened timelines. Everyone seems to fall in love in a week and there isnt a lot of conflict. The spicy gives it a little something not enough to think these books were great.

Wow, what a phenomenal story!

The storytelling was professional-level and entertaining, the lead characters were all multi-dimensional and dynamic, the conflicts were organic and complex, the relationship-building was outstanding and powerful, the climax was beautiful and the smut was amazing, especially that last scene!

I really appreciated reading the journey of a smart, strong-willed woman trying submission for the first time with men that treated her respectfully and with so much care.

And the other lead's journey... and it made so much sense!

Definitely recommend!

Any Given Sunday is a fantastic contemporary romance by Mari Carr. This is a M/M/F menage so it may not be for everyone. Ms. Carr has delivered a well-written book and crafted characters that are perfect for the story. Chad, Lauren and Sean are friends and then more. Chad is having a hard time dealing with the situation. Their story is packed with drama, humor and smokin' hot sexy bits. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and look forward to my next Mari Carr book. Any Given Sunday is book 7 of the Wild Irish Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

A college class assignment leads to a life changing, relationship altering experience for Sean, Lauren & Chad. In reality it started before that when Lauren had to finally admit she had thecsame feelings for Chad as she did for Sean. Chase's been hiding his feelings for Lauren for years. It seems all three of them have been in denial. As they set out to explore Dominance and submission, it all goes well until it doesn't. With just one touch, three lives may have been destroyed or they may all finally accept the depth of the love they have for each other.

This is a menage book, which I don't normally read, but I really enjoyed it. Carr did a great job of showing the emotional angst and growth of all 3 main characters. They all have feelings for each other, but they all fear admitting them--and for different reasons. Carr takes the reader on an emotional journey as they each come to terms with what it means to love and how they can accept their love and share it. It is a great message of accepting who you are and not being ashamed to be different from your perceptions of "normal."

When you totally in love with your boyfriend, but sort in love with best friend and there's totally something going on that's werid between the two of them, you either have the recipe for disaster or a girls wet dream.

Love doesn't always come in nice neat packages, sometime sits messy confusing and leaves us with the knowledge that bisexuality is completely ok and life and love needs to be embraced no matter how it comes your way.

I purchased Any Given Sunday: Wild Irish Series book 7 by Mari Carr and this review was given freely.
The youngest Collins child,Sean and his best friend Lauren finally connect in this steamy romance where Sean is also romantically involved with his other best friend and roommate Chad.
The story ends with a wonderful family update on Thanksgiving.

Erotic with a heartbreaking sweet storyline

Sean the baby of the family has secrets, so well hidden his girlfriend doesn’t even know. But all things come out in time. I love Mari’s writing style, these characters worm their way into your heart, and the story tugs at your heart while make you sweat.

Different

Childhood friends, Sean and Chad, have moved in together with Sean's girlfriend, Lauren. She has been attracted to Chad and subliminally wants him in their bed too, a ménage. A few problems arise from that adventure and some hard truths come to light.

This is an MMF story that is part of a series but I began with this book which works fine as a standalone. I liked the three characters but I missed out on childhood backgrounds since I didn’t read the earlier books. I enjoyed the story and cared about each of the characters.

B & D is not a personal favorite of mine but, I learned a great deal more about it from this book. The close family ties and open acceptance of loved ones regardless of their life styles makes for pleasant reading.

Good read

As always a good read from this author. Lots of denial and non communication between three good friends. The three felt quite young and I wish they’d been a bit older. Great catching up with the rest of the family.

Fell flat

I know I'm reading some of the Collins family saga out of order, but I found this one flat. It felt like I've read most of it before, just a slightly different configuration.
