This is the BEST, my NEW favorite romance book 🫠❤️🔥 This author knows how to write a book!!! The storyline, the PASSION, the drama, the spice 🤌🏼 I'm just gonna sit here with my feelings about this book for a min... 6/5 stars, this needs to be a show.
LISTEN!!! My second (3,4) book by Monaye Paris and once again she did not disappoint. The storyline with Kaine and Ebony had me on edge. It was juicy, spicy and comical. Good short read and I could not put it down.
The series overall was about a 3.67, 4 stars for the first 2 books and 3 stars for the last.
The last book was very quick. Monaye doesn't always give a lot of back story, but we got some character development in this one and I was hoping for just a little more. A chance to view them together as a family. No stress and actually moving forward. However, we got just a small moment.
Let me just say this: Monaye Paris really outdid herself with The Weekend Omnibus. Three short novellas. One wild, messy, emotional, spicy-as-hell love story that unfolds over time like your favorite R&B slow jam.
Book One: The Weekend Kaine and Ebony meet at a strip club and from the second their eyes lock, it’s up. They vibe immediately and settle into a "weekends only" thing that turns into a whole situation. But baybeee, when Ebony finds out Kaine is married? The drama flies. And when his wife Talia finds out about Ebony? She doesn’t want love—she just doesn’t want to lose. The way Talia moves is straight up unhinged, and Kaine ends up in jail behind a dead wife, a pregnancy, and a setup he never saw coming. It had me kicking my feet and yelling at the screen. A perfect start.
Book Two: Sincerely, Kaine Ten years later. Kaine’s out of prison and on a mission to get his woman and meet the daughter he’s never known. Ebony’s been raising Kalia with a man who ain’t worth two cents, and she’s tried to move on—but when Kaine shows up with that grown, soft-but-serious energy? Whew. That tension? Still there. That love? Still strong. And the moment Kaine meets his daughter? Girl. TEARS. It’s about second chances, soft fatherhood, and proving he’s not the same man from ten years ago. Also yes, the spice is still spicing. Don’t play.
Book Three: The Weekend III Kaine has his family back—but peace don’t come easy. An even bigger threat steps in and Kaine proves he will do whatever it takes to protect what’s his. Like... no one is safe. This man is COLD when it comes to his woman and child. And honestly? I respect it. This book is the shortest but somehow wraps everything up with heat, heart, and a little heartbreak. Kaine and Ebony finally get to breathe, and we get a full-circle ending that makes all the chaos worth it.
This series gave: 🚀 Insta-lust, deep love, and even deeper mess 🚮 Characters who are flawed, raw, and worth rooting for 🚫 Real enemies, real danger, real stakes 🥵 Spice levels that stayed on 10 from book one to the end 🌊 A love story that actually felt like a journey
Each novella was short but so full. The pacing? Perfect. The flow? Smooth. The emotion? Real. Monaye Paris packed more character development and drama into these pages than some full-length novels ever dream of.
5 STARS across the board. Get the Omnibus. Read them back to back. And prepare to fall hard for Kaine and Ebony.
I felt Kane when he said that everything was all his fault. He should’ve gotten a divorce or never married Talia even if his mother wanted him too. Ebony and the baby probably wouldn’t have happened if she would’ve left him after her couldn’t answer the question’’ why you still married to her then?’’. Ebony and Kane was selfish and self centered because Kane should’ve been straight forward with Talia and left her before the marriage. Ebony didn’t deserve to get hands put on her but she should’ve told Vermont she still had feelings for Kane and left him, Two months was more than enough time. But Talia and Vermont did the most but they still had feelings no one took into consideration. I really enjoyed this book.

This was definitely a wild ride. This three-part novella took off from Go and never let up off the gas. Kaine was not a man to be played with when it came to the ones he loved. Ebony couldn’t outrun her heart no matter how much she wanted to. Their journey was an entertaining read.
However, as entertaining as the story was, the final chapters of book 2 and all of book 3 felt very unrealistic. Combine that with grammatical errors throughout the book and I couldn’t fully enjoy reading it. There were run-on sentences, commas being used incorrectly, and random use of bold text in book 1 and partially in book 2, just to name a few of the grammatical and technical errors with the writing in this book.
I doubt I will read any other books by this individual.
Kaine and Ebony went through it from the beginning to the end. First it was his wife Talia on some if I can’t have you nobody will mindset while snitching Kaine out to the Feds, then separated by Kaine doing ten years, having to unalive Vermont for attacking Ebony, and finally having to unalive Saint who was Vermont’s older brother. The book really needed an epilogue with them starting over in Maine.
Haven’t read a book that had me on edge from beginning to end in a long time! The man Kaine ain’t nothing to play with. He loves his Ebony and his baby girl. Great read!
This was a wild lil novella between Ebony and Kaine. Talk about instant obsession and chaos. Even a lil murder. Watch my full review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0006...
I have binged this author’s catalog and my only wish is that she gives us more. She gives us longer. Feed the freak lol I loved Kaine and all his antics
Oh wow, Author Paris complied a mini series into hundred forty eight pages of …(make ya mama blush) adult adventures & activities 🤭. Impressive plot & character development‼️Nevertheless, hmmmm 🧐, “The Weekend Omnibus: Books 1-3” was an exhilarating urban action, adventure & romance…with reckless abandon, conditions, pretenses & repercussions 🤭🫣🤷🏾♀️‼️More so, “The Weekend…“ was a great read . However, it ain’t your typical urban fiction story. Before you realize, you’re in too deep‼️
Wait a damn min. When did this become a WH*RE HOUSE!? If your looking for somehing that reads like episodes of ya favorite reality tv drama then this is the one. This book will take you through out the live, and toxic love story of the two main characters. The mess is messing and the drama is drama-ing but baby the SPICE...Monaye did her biggest one. Read the book. As Always Thanks for sharing your art MP!
