Bjørnstjerne Martinus Bjørnson was a Norwegian writer and the 1903 Nobel Prize in Literature laureate "as a tribute to his noble, magnificent and versatile poetry, which has always been distinguished by both the freshness of its inspiration and the rare purity of its spirit."
Bjørnson is the author of the lyrics to the Norwegian National Anthem, "Ja, vi elsker dette landet".

A weird one that's for sure....

Tror veldig mye ble tapt ved oversettelse, noe som er synd. Skulle ønske jeg kunne lest denne på norsk, men når den nærmest er umulig å få tak i på norsk så får engelsk duge.

En av de mer rare fortellinger jeg har lest, likte store deler av den, men mye var litt uklart og ja, litt rart rett og slett. Men veldig kult at denne tar opp ekteskap og skilsmisse og kvinnefrigjøring hele to år før Et Dukkehjem ble publisert!

In some ways I very much enjoyed this, there was a grandeur of vision and a classic tone, but I think possibly it was a poor translation. There appeared to be key sentences missing. Like a painting with key characters scratched out. Very odd.
