A lovely collection of stories about cherished objects and why they have meaning for the writers. From Peruvian drums, to a sixty-year-old plant, to a hand puppet - each has a story to tell. Each essay is 500 words or fewer, so it's a great book to pick up when you need a quick break. And the proceeds go to help those displaced by the January 2025 California wildfires, so you'll be doing some good when you buy it.
