The Easter Bunny does more than deliver chocolate; sometimes it's a chilling dose of cruelty and suffering, a basket full of gruesome nightmares.
In this edition of horror snacks, fable beings unleash their sinister natures.
Cupid and his love for evil; Jack Frost and his icy heart; The Loch Ness Monster's ugly secret; Thor and his bloody hammer; Mother Nature and her thorny revenge; these are just some of the wicked tales which await.
Ten short stories that will turn heroes into monsters, angels into demons.

This book was seriously such a fun read! Every story takes a familiar childhood figure and turns it into something dark, brutal, and wildly unsettling. My favorite was the one about The Easter Bunny - I was hooke instantly!
It’s fast, creepy, and ridiculously fun—the kind of horror stories that are short and sweet and end up tearing through in one sitting.
If you love twisted, myth-based horror that doesn’t pull its punches, grab this one. You won’t regret it.
Thank you to the author and the publisher or publishers for all your hard work! I'm leaving this review voluntarily and happily! Take a look!
Been a hot minute since ive read an anthology of any kind and I really enjoyed this one. Full of terrible stories from all sorts of creatures and big shots we know. I was able to finish this in one sitting. I wish there was more to it as i just enjoyed every moment of the fun. I know ive said this before but I need to make it a goal to read more anthologies as I seem to enjoy them. This definitely makes you think twice about the Easter Bunny and other big Holiday characters. Like what if what we know about them is a lie and their stories are actually so much darker?
The Easter Bunny Made Me Scream By Sean P. Gibson (12/31/25) 4⭐️ 🔘Horror 🔘Thriller/Suspense 🔘Gore
This book is a collection of non-connected short stories which are scary, but quite amusing at the same time. It is a definite treat and I highly recommend this quick and easy read.
That being said, the stories can be hit on most of our childhood heroes, such as the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, Hansel & Gretel, Cupid, Mother Nature and even the Lockness Monster! This makes the stories even more fun and relatable with a definite comedic element present.
Thank you to Booksirens and this very talented author for providing me an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Theres a bit of everything with this in terms of mythology in this short story collection. My favorite of the bunch involved Thor while the Loch Ness story was my least favorite. I did enjoy each story and given the short amount of length for each, I never felt like I was missing any information that would have added to the stories.
Some descriptions of the book fell a little flat for me, but most of them were spot on in conveying the imagery to me. One that stuck out was "like a Ferrari that was set to rust" or something to that effect when talking about beauty.
All-in-all a fun and descriptive read through twisted fairy tales.
I had an absolute blast with this creepy little collection. Each story twists a familiar mythical figure into something dark, cold, and wonderfully unsettling. The Easter Bunny tale hooked me first, equal parts clever and gruesome, and the rest just kept getting wilder. Cupid, Jack Frost, even Mother Nature… no one is safe, and I loved that every story had its own flavor of horror without feeling repetitive.
It’s quick, eerie, and deliciously twisted, exactly the kind of “horror snack” you pick up for a few minutes and suddenly realize you’ve devoured in one sitting. If you enjoy myth-based horror with a sharp edge, this one’s a treat.
A very grotesque, very graphic anthology with a rather twisted sense of humor. I love it.
Don't let the title fool you, because it's the cover of the first story and it gave me chills. I didn't think I'd like it, but it blew me away with how funny it was.
It presents stories, tales, or legends you already know, but each one comes with a more interesting twist than the last. Although some felt unnecessary, I loved it.
Obviously it's not for those under 18, and yes, you might not be able to sleep tonight.

This had that horror element that I enjoyed from the previous books in the Horror Snack Buffet series. It had that in-between that I was hoping for and enjoyed that this added to the world. I was invested in what was happening with the characters and how the characters were written in this world. Sean P. Gibson has a strong writing style and enjoyed the series as a whole, and that it was a really well written horror series and enjoyed the use of the Easter Bunny.

“The Easter Bunny Made Me Scream” - And so did some of the other creatures!

Well this was fun! “The Easter Bunny Made Me Scream” contains some really entertaining and eerie short stories. Each with their own unique characters and creatures. Whether it’s from Myths, Folklore or Fairy Tales they all have their own dark twist and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
This was the first work from Sean P. Gibson that I've read, and I'm hooked! I didn't know there were 2 other anthologies in this series, but now they're on my reading list!
Gibson delivers really unique, creative, and gory takes on well-known literary figures. This is a fun read for fans of horror.
This was an interesting anthology. Its biggest flaw was each story was too short. The author had some very fun ideas, but in my opinion, nothing was fully fleshed out. I also thought the author had a very inventive way of writing the icky stuff covered in horror books.
I would read some of these stories in longer format, with the characters and creatures explored in greater depth.
Hahaha!!! I died laughing through this book. It rocked! I loved the dark twist on all these faves. Some of us are just a little darker than others and would rather read this version than the fluffy cute ones lol
I am a complete sucker for holiday horror. And Easter with it's rabbits and appetites was very well written. Each story brought a new, gory angle to the Easter Bunny mythos. This collection is definitely not for the faint of heart.
Gosh some of these short stories had me jumping out of my seat! I wanted more they weren’t enough for me. I will be adding this author to my reading list from here on out.
This was a dark yet funny take on many different creatures. It brings out the darkness of things that we are made to believe are full of good and happiness. I loved all of the stories.
