Curating the art for a grumpy CEO is like setting yourself on fire. When I first laid eyes on him, a match lit my kindling. Though he’s the opposite of me, my heart skipped ten thousand beats. There he was, a wealthy, alpha male entrepreneur. He moved with an effortless grace, his shoulders squared, his stride confident. Even from a distance, his presence overtook my gallery. He was like gravity, drawing all things toward him. Me especially. He epitomizes the phrase "tall, dark, and handsome." It is almost laughable—because it is so achingly true. The phrase could have been coined just for him. He is poetry, and I have become a poet. But promising stories and adventures remain untold. There are many issues to overcome, and I can't commit to him. When an attack on his company throws things into chaos, I can't stand by and let everything get destroyed. But have I already ruined his trust in me? Can love still rise from the ashes? ---------------------------------------------------------- an Opposites Attract, Alpha Male Sweet Romance. PG-13

What an intimate look into the highs and lows of a relationship that was destined, yet faced doubts and fears from previous hurt and betrayal. Mia and Alec each bring their own insecurities, resulting in walls and distance. But neither one can imagine life without the other. It's a beautiful story and will appeal to anyone who wants real life situations with brave and honest emotions. It's a great book. Definitely recommend it.

Alec Westbrook and Mia Jensen are the opposites attract couple in this book by Roman Ciere. He’s a wealthy entrepreneur and to him she’s quite demure. He’s captured her heart that’s for sure and when he is threatened moreover she will not turn over ,she will stand with the man and do all she can to stop his company getting in the wrong hands . At the same time she feels that she wants his strong hands on her and she’s a goner. But has she burned her bridges ,is it too late ,now that’s a downer. Great writing ,loved the story and the characters are endearing and sweet …
Alec Westbrook seemed lost. He was the only one here, working at night by himself, no footsteps, empty floors, no phones ringing. But his heart wasn’t in it. What can he do with this freedom? His wife had signed the papers a year ago. Now she meant nothing to him. He went to the gym and even his own body seemed like a stranger as he began to lift weights. His phone buzzed to ask where he was. So he put the phone in his pocket and put earbuds in his ears. And then he went home.
Mia Jenson started living at the office, leaving extra clothes there. Watching words on her computer was like watching time pass and life slip away. She got a phone call from Mike, which she didn’t pick up and he didn’t leave a message. He said enough without saying it because she heard it all the time, the distance between them.
These two main characters have some serious issues. Although the description was excellently handled, it was very uncomfortable to read it and not find the sense to it. Mia and Alec are drawn to each other, not certain about commitment, but unwilling to think about life moving on without the other there for them. Will they get together to resolve each others’ loneliness? Or would they even notice if the other moved in to keep them company?
He is starting to hate his job Meetings, agenda’s, reports, and always alone. His wife left him because he was ALWAYS at work!!! When he hires a new assistant they get along very well and she helps him choose decorations for his office . . . . and this begins a great relationship and a superb book. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
