This is one of the MC romance series I’ve been following for a while now. And as i always say it works for me is “when in doubt, read an MC romance” ! It is always a pleasure.
This series is not super spicy even though it is Motorcycle Club romance but the spice they have is good, not wow but good. The romance is also always good and the guys are always the super protective obsessed motherfuckers out there. It always makes for good books.
This one was going to be 3⭐️ but towards the ending I was sold. And one phrase from Freya who’s Ozzy’s ol’lady almost made me rate the book 4⭐️ 😂😂😂
But yeah this follows Wyatt and Maizie, they are friends but he always liked her, never acted on it because Ozzy 5 years ago had told him she was off limits and since then his been pining over her and trying his best to be her best friend and do everything for her and her 5 years old son. She is a single mother and her world is her son Colby.
Maizie has a big secret of who’s Colby’s father, and she has all the intentions to take this secret to her grave. Obviously nothing is that easy……
I only rated this book less than the others because the first 40% of the book is very slow and Wyatt is just there in the friend zone instead of taking her since she also likes him. But overall this series is fun to read and I’ll read every book that comes out, as a matter of fact I can’t wait to read Cash and Cece because this one for sure will be explosive 🖤

Yes yes yes!!!!! This series just keeps getting better and better!!! Kate knows the way to my heart and it’s with the Black Roses Motorcycle Club!!! I don’t know which man I love more, but I swear each book has me falling in love with each man more than the one before. Kate has me hooked and she won’t be letting me go anytime soon!!

This was such a fantastic read!
Maizie is a single mom who got pregnant from a one night stand by a jerk. She finds herself back in shine working as a bartender for The Black Roses.
Wyatt is a brother from The Black Roses who has a crush on Maizie and they both have undeniably chemistry but both are afraid of what will happen if something goes wrong. Maizie is focused on her son Colby and doesn’t want to get into a relationship with Wyatt because she’s afraid if something happens it will crush Colby.
I loved the banter between Wyatt and Maizie and how they both knew there was chemistry there but played it off. But they knew they were meant for each other. The end had me at the edge of my seat but I’m happy with how it ended!

Going out with friends she bumped into Nolan her school crush. However the charmer from the night before isn't the same the next morning.

The two have chemistry but both afraid to act. Lucy however has a plan.

I’m just a bit bummed at the execution of this one. I loved the story, it had good bones, but it felt extremely rushed. I genuinely think all of these books need to be longer, not just this one.

Officially has been a year of Kate Randall arcs. She was my very first and now it's time for Wyatt 🙌🏾. I was in genre burn out when Wyatt came out. And I'm glad I waited to read it because I think I enjoyed it more now than I would have when I originally received the ARC.
Like a good neighbor Wyatt is there 🥵
This book was a slow burn, friends to lovers that developed over the course of the others in the series. I wanted to say Wyatt was rushed, but I sat back and realized we had been getting pieces of this story from the beginning.
However I'm still going to chuck it up to the fact I wasn't attached to these characters. The side characters shined more for me. (LOL shined heehee made a pun by accident 🤣.) When Freya appeared I was like girl where have you been. I wished she hung out with the girls more. Feels like we haven't read about her since Ozzy. Lucy's quick whit was a gem as always. And Mia and Charlie's ride or die support was chef's kiss. I love the friendship these girls have. Plus they know how to keep the brothers on their toes.
However the big reveal of who Colby's father was a bit lackluster. However I'm glad his paternal grandmother had things figured out years ago. But I loved how everyone rallied around Maizie. If anything these books are about family, and I'm a sucker for found family tropes.
I was more invested in Wyatt's interactions with Colby. I loved their relationship in Knox and I liked how Wyatt wanted to make sure he was surrounded by love. Wyatt and Maizie has good chemistry once things get going. Overall a solid friend to lovers storyline. The ending was rushed, but in this case I'm like it was straightforward.
I'm definitely looking forward to Cash and Cece. I've been wanting to get Cece's full story since Jude's book. Plus the fall out of Nolan's death. I imagine Mia's parents aren't going to sit around quietly.

Wyatt is the fifth installment in the Black Roses MC by the ever lovely Kate Randall. As always, I recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it, but each book can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series. Wyatt is a MC romance with strong ties to found family, as always check your trigger warnings before reading.
Maizie is a single mother from a very religious family, and the kind that believes all love is equal. Mazie gains some limited freedom when she is away for college, but also meets Nolan. He’s a one night stand, but one that gives her her son Colby. Determined to not lead the same type of life her family has, and to give her son the best life she can, she ventures out and finds herself working at a MC biker bar owned by the Black Roses. There she meets Wyatt and the rest of the brotherhood and their women, there she finds a family for herself and her son. For five years she has worked her butt off to give Colby a good life, and Wyatt has always been there. The pair have chemistry, but neither of them have acted on it just yet. When trouble comes rolling into the clubhouse in the form of Colby’s bio dad, aka Nolan, it shakes Mazie to her core. What does he want? Are his threats real?
Wyatt and Mazie are such a pair. Mazie is strong and protective of her son and those that she considers family, but you can tell when her ex rolls into town how freaked out she is. When Wyatt finally makes his move to solidify their relationship, it’s almost like the breath she was holding in is let go. Wyatt is a biker, they come hard hired to protect what is theres and I think both Mazie and Colby both needed that in him. Pepper is a cute little bonus for the scenes with Colby as well.
The plot is fast paced and easy to keep up with, the spice is there, but for once I can say I enjoyed the story more than the spicy bits in it. It was fun seeing characters from previous books in the series as well as what else is going on in the club. The banter in this book is giggle-worthy for sure, overall very pleased with the read.

I think I loved that the most about Maizie and Wyatt. They started as friends and it could turn into so much more. They have such amazing chemistry and banter together. I’ve been eagerly anticipating Wyatt and Maizie’s story ever since they were first introduced in Jude’s book…and wow, it did not disappoint. I devoured this book in one night! The slow-burn romance was so sweet and satisfying…and Wyatt? He’s genuinely one of the nicest guys. His tenderness toward Maizie and Colby melted my heart.
The scene where he showed up at Maizie’s date had me laughing out loud…it was such a perfect moment. The connections with Colby, Mia, and Nolan added depth and made the storyline feel wonderfully well-rounded.
One of my favorite things about the Black Roses MC universe is how seamlessly all the characters are woven together. It’s such a treat to get the backstories, preludes, and then see familiar faces pop back up in later books.
The ending left me on edge with a bit of a cliffhanger, and now I’m counting down the days until we get Cece and Cash’s story!

This is the 5th story in The Black Roses MC Series where we get the journey of Maizie and Wyatt along with her adorable son, Colby and his dog, Pepper! Maizie grew up in a religious family finding independence away at college. Maizie runs into Nolan an old crush and ends up pregnant. She returns home making a life for herself bartending at the Black Roses bar and finding family among the guys and their women. Over the years Wyatt and Maizie find themselves attracted to one another, both afraid to cross the friend’s line not knowing what will happen. When Nolan returns threatening Maizie he brings trouble from his MC that the Black Roses have a bad history. It’s beautiful to see how Wyatt and Maizie start a relationship full of steam and sweetness and what Wyatt and the brothers will do to protect one of their own!

Soooo darn good!!!! Wyatt is a devoted motorcycle brother and might be smitten with Maizie. Her son Colby is smitten with his dog Pepper…so we’re talking full circle here. Maizie is a single mother who got pregnant by a jerk…but loves her son more than anything. She finds herself working at a bar and has become friends with the members. The story between Maizie and Colby is sweet, steamy and perfectly written. These two definitely have undeniable chemistry and fun banter. Colby and Pepper is an added adorable bonus to this book. Of course we get the wonderful motorcycle club brothers and the trouble that follows. I have read several books in this series and I’m never disappointed. Bring on the next book!!

I loved their close relationship which is based on a strong foundation of friendship. It is clear that Wyatt is always there for both of them in any and every situation.
While it takes some time for Wyatt to finally wake up and pursue Maizie, there is never a boring moment in the book. If you love MC and single mom romances, I would definitely recommend this book to you!

Book 5 in the Black Roses MC is Wyatt. This one is Wyatt and Maizie's story
It's a sweet, steamy journey and when you bring in Colby (Maizie's son) and Pepper (Wyatts dog), how can you not love this story. Things are absolutely not easy. They're both in a bit of denial about their feelings, you can't help but silently cheer them on and hope they get it together. Wyatt is a great read and I definitely recommend it!

I have not read any of the other books in this series. I did not have difficulty reading the book although the background of each character would have been nice. The book was a good MC romance although it went on a bit long with waiting for Wyatt and Maizie to get together. I loved Maizie's son, Colby and Wyatt's dog, Penny. These two were so cute together! Hope there are more books in this series!

I have to admit that I have not read any other books in this series, but I will be going back and doing just that! Wyatt and Maizie's story is so good! I'm kind of picky about the MC books I ready, because I normally cannot stand how they talk/treat the women, but this one didn't have any of that. I loved how the relationship developed between these two. I can't wait to read everyone's stories.

Amazing!!! 🤩
Maizie and Wyatt were an amazing couple. This is a very slow burn. They actually don’t get together or admit their feelings until 60%.
Oh my God Maizie’s son Colby is the cutest sweetest thing ever -the dog Pepper was so adorable and Wyatt was so amazing with Maizie’s son Colby. He loved him like his own.
I actually teared up at the end-

This is a gripping story of a single mum with a hidden past and a protective biker who refuses to walk away. It’s full of heart, heat, and suspense, I loved Wyatt and Maisie and was hooked from the start.

This was a terrific book. The combination of emotion, heart, drama and action was captivating and consuming. Wyatt and Maizie were great characters, and they had amazing chemistry as a couple. This romance gave my heartstrings a workout and had me experiencing huge feels.

Wyatt and Mazie’s story is so good. The only complaint I have is that they didn’t get together earlier in the book. But still it all played out good. The cliffhanger at the end was great and I can’t wait for Cash and Cece’s story

This was my first story by this author and I was hooked. Loved Wyatt and how great he is to and for Maizie and her son Colby. Also really enjoyed getting to know the rest of the crew. Cannot wait for the next story!

Unfortunately, this was really boring. Nice couple who took a really long time to get together. Also, how does Maizie not tell her friend that Colby is her nephew!! I get not wanting to advertise who the father was, but that seems pretty selfish. Not sure how that was resolved. DNF @65%.

Maybe my second favorite of the series. The relationship was sweet and there were some funny moments with the little boy. The end was entertaining and I look forward to the next book! They are standalone books because you get all the info you need but they are all good books!

Great read. Stand alone but interconnected MC world. It's best to read prior books to understand the characters and their world. Loved Colby and his dog Peppers story line. Can't wait for what's in store for Cash and Cece.
