This is an amazing story of the life of not just one man, but of an entire generation - Generation X. Rick tells this story from his perspective, but wonderfully crafts it to feel like a tale we all lived. From his humble beginnings as a fanboy seeing the Ramones for the first time and having his mind blown, to running his own music venue that thrives to this day (The NorVa Theater), Rick captures the heart & soul of Rock & Roll, passion, and an era in which we lived balls-out and care-free.
This book takes place in Virginia Beach, New Orleans, Woodstock, New York, and finally back around to Norfolk. If you love Rock & Roll, the mystique that surrounds it, the life force derived from it, and the friends made because of it, then I highly suggest you make this a choice for your next book.
When I finished it, I thought, "Did I just read a story about my own life?!? I think I did...
