Reliable recipes, clear instructions and not over complicated in regards to techniques used.

Yes, a lot of these recipes will probably frighten a less experience baker, but with easy to follow instructions I believe that anything in this book can be achieved, by anyone, just give yourself a bit of time and read the WHOLE recipe, right to the very end, before you start baking.
This is a book full of inspiration - I already have used some of the recipes, or parts of them, in my work (I'm a pastry chef) - and all worked really well.

I love James' attention to detail and his flavour combos. Yet another cook book in my collection that won't gather dust on the shelf.

Beautifully published and amazing, mouthwatering photos make this book great idea for a present!
