A thoroughly entertaining story.
Step through the doors of Liverpool’s grandest hotel, the Adelphi, in to a world of strict social mores and supernatural intrigue. . .
Meticulously researched, with richly drawn characters, realistic dialogue, and an engrossing plot, Carol Maginn’s latest novel is a genuine page-turner, perfectly paced and superbly evocative of its period location and historical time-frame.
This is a hugely enjoyable read and highly recommended.

Not my normal sort of book but really well written. Also I loved every single reference to places and things in Liverpool made me feel like a proper local
