4 swoon-filled stars
I fell in mad love with Georgia Cates’ Beauty series when it came out. The story of Jack Henry and Laurelyn completely stole my heart. And now, Cates has returned to the same world with a story for Alex and Magnolia that is similar but different, and once again, I got swept up in a beautiful romance.
Magnolia works for an elite matchmaking company, and when they branch out to Australia, she agrees to go for three months to help with the set-up. When she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, she ends up chatting (with the anonymity of a wall between them) with one of the men who comes in to meet their match, and sparks fly.
Alex is a retired rugby star who is looking for a wife. He’s had his fill of publicity-hungry women, and he wants love and a true connection with somebody, and he’s enlisted the help of professionals to find it. Things take a twist, though, when he finds himself drawn to one the employees of the company, and not his actual match. He can’t get the woman out of his head, and when he drops a crumb, she follows, and they meet in real life, quickly agreeing to explore their attraction.
It’s a tricky situation because Magnolia can’t be seen out and about with a client from her company, so they have to keep things on the downlow. She’s also only in the country of three months, so they know they have an end date. In the grand tradition of Jack Henry and Laurelyn, they agree to fake names and to not share any personal details to keep make it easy to walk away, in the meantime diving on in to explore their wild chemistry.
So, they date, they spend time together, they talk about their lives (as much as they can), and they share a mind-blowing sexual connection. Despite the secrecy, they’re open with each other and share so much, and they fall accidentally, hopelessly and completely for each other. It’s a slow build up that feels real and emotional, and I loved watching it happen. They don’t fight it, they both just follow their hearts and let it happen, and it’s so, so sweet!
It’s sweet, sometimes even a little sappy, but hey, I’m a romance reader and I need some sappiness every once in a while. Alex and Magnolia fall in soul deep, all-consuming, life changing love, and they cherish every single moment of it. But while Alex is ready for a lifetime commitment with somebody, Magnolia is not. She doesn’t believe herself capable. But that doesn’t stop their deepening feelings, and with the clock running out on their time together, their hearts will be truly tested.
Helping them along the way are Alex’s friends Jack and Laurelyn (loved seeing where they are ten years after their story!), and his big Samoan family who provide their support.
It’s a sweet, sexy and emotional read, and I revelled in the feels and the ease of it all. It feels so natural and so right, and I definitely got that soul-mate feeling, that these two absolutely belong together. I loved watching it happen, and my heart hurt for them as their inevitable separation comes, but this is the first in a trilogy, and the story is definitely not over. I’m diving straight into the next book to see where their journey goes from here.

Magnolia Steal is going for three months to Australia to help start up her boss’s dating service internationally. Former Rugby player Alex Sebring is looking to settle down finally. He ends up meeting Magnolia Steel while her company’s soul sync “only your voice” dating service is in its first run and she ends up on the other side of the partition. His ideas for future after that might be interrupted as he can’t quite forget the voice he chatted with. She doesn’t want anything serious. His friends convince him to ask the mysterious Magnolia to three months of “fun only” and no commitments. Will this deal end up going as planned or will Magnolia start to want more than just fun? A wonderful start to this trilogy and I can’t wait to see where this goes. Don’t worry there is some drama weaved in as well and plenty of Jack and Laurelyn cameos too. FANTASTIC!!!
I remember reading Beauty from Pain 10 years ago and loving this authors style. I remember being sucked in.
Well it happened again!
I was sucked in and lost in the story.
Their time limited arrangement was supposed to be fun but turned into so much more.
A beautiful love
A steamy love
A connection neither could deny!
But their time ran out and the book ended with heartbreak but that can't be how it ends.
Thank Goodness there's another book coming but not soon enoigh.

Magnolia Steel volunteered to go to Australia for a 3 month work assignment. She had no idea her journey to Australia would lead her to Alex Sebring. The man who would literally change her life. Alex Sebring was searching for a woman he wanted to marry. An accidental encounter led to Magnolia and Alex having a conversation that changed their lives. The chemistry between Magnolia and Alex was electric. Secret Rendezvous and Stolen Moments led to Magnolia and Alex falling in love. The inclusion of Jack Henry& L was refreshing. Their friendship enabled them to mentor and encourage Alex to pursue the woman he could not live without, Magnolia Steel. When I started reading Steel Beauty, I was captivated. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in The Beauty Series, American Beauty. I received an ARC and I loved this book.

I’ve never read Georgia Cates but i’d seen the Beauty in pain book around Bookstagram and it’s even been on my tbr for quite some time. Then passionflix announced the adaption so when i seen the sign up for Steel Beauty I instantly knew I had to sign up to see for myself into this world and discover this author.
So as a totally new reader of Georgia Cates I have no inside knowledge to the world this story is set in but it absolutely makes you want to go back and read Jacks story for sure!
So Magnolia and Alex… Meet blindly and it’s instant chemistry and connection. A temporary agreement and dating in secrecy without knowing who each other really is. It’s exciting. Alex falls first and hard and their romance is a whirlwind, it’s passionate, it’s steamy, it’s dreamy. These two are on this journey in a bubble of just them two and it’s inevitable they fall, they’re more real and themselves than ever. It’s electric, it’s warm.
The emotions hit deep and there’s no way o wasn’t going to have dry eyes when it comes to then end …. Alex is the alpha we all love , he’s everything. He broken and damaged successful and gets totally knocked off his feet by Charleston !

How many times are you disappointed with a sequel or a spinoff? So many times! When I first heard about Steel Beauty, I called my bestie and said…”they are going to mess up my happily ever after with Jack Henry and Laurelyn!” I bought it anyway, in the off chance it might be a 3 star read. Chapter 1, oh, it’s not really about Jack and Laurelyn? Okay, I am a little more hopeful. Our FMC is from Mississippi? Well, I am from Louisiana, so I am on board with this! Our MMC is a retired. Athlete??? I lean in, tell me more. But the moment that I knew that this wasn’t going to be just any sequel or spinoff is when our FMC begins to seduce our MMC to the sweet sound of Mislead by Kool and the GangI. It’s official! I am all in! Alex and Magnolia’s story is so much fun! We get romance and spice in Australia and the memories of the earlier books come flooding back! Magnolias is on a 3 month assignment for work and meets Alex-who just so happens to be best friends with Jack Henry! We get to take a small walk down memory lane, while enjoying the journey in front of us. Will Alex and Magnolia’s story find the real deal? Will a nasty ex-girlfriend show up and make waves? Will commitment issues surface? Yes to all of the above! 3 months pass by quickly, and words are spoken, hearts are breaking and tears are shed! This book was so much more than I thought it would be, and it left me marking my calendar for May 27th when the next book drops! A quick note! While you can enjoy this book without reading Beauty from Pain…do yourself a favor and just start from the beginning! Georgia Cates, you did what many authors have tried and failed to do-you took something fantastic and built something magnificent from it! Oh and the musical references made the story even better!

I first read Beauty From Pain in 2013 and loved it! Jack & Laurelyn captured my heart! Steel Beauty is set in their world and introduces us to Jack's best mate, Alex. He meets Magnolia is an unusual way. Their connection/pull is strong as is their chemistry together. Alex and Magnolia both have baggage, plenty of it. Alex may have more than Magnolia! He is very complex. I could feel his every emotion. Magnolia has come so far from her beginnings. Their story is slow and sensual. Together they tackle their fears and embrace their hopes and dreams.
I loved everything about Steel Beauty except for the small cliff that Georgia Cates left us on. I started to suspect that Alex and Magnolia's story had too much left to wrap up and was a bit let down. BUT, there are several loose ends, and I have my suspicions! So, while I wait for American Beauty to release in May I will revisit Beauty From Pain on Kindle Unlimited!

Set in Australia and featuring Alex Sebring, a rugby player with his career cut short and Magnolia Steel, a stranger to his shores. Magnolia works for a very elite dating company, where people pay a lot of money to meet their perfect match. Identities are hidden and the dates occur with a wall between the couple. Relocating for three months to Australia to help launch the companies newest location, is how Magnolia, the set designer finds herself in a conversation with one of their clients on the other side of the partition. Alex, desperate to find normalcy after years of being the highest paid ruby player, decides to use the elite services of Soul Sync to find a wife and start a family. But what happens when he is more drawn to the woman he can't see that isn't his match, and a few not so chance encounters turn into more?
This does end on a cliffhanger and I am eagerly awaiting the next book!

There is a connection between these two and they agree to a 3-month relationship, with no expectation, and no labels, but will that be enough for them?
This is a well written easy to read, slow burn romance, with emotions, drama, humor, witty banter, engaging and realistic characters, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The addition of previous characters Jack and Laurelyn McLachlan added an additional layer to the story.

Alex and Magnolia hit it off before they even know what each other looks like. She is Charleston and he's Julius Ceaser. Magnolia helps Alex relax while waiting for a women to show up a Soul Sync. He can't stop thinking about Charleston (aka Magnolia). He tells her a place to check out in hoped she'll show and he can meet her face to face. She does and when he realizes its her, its on. They start a relationship for 3 months and once its over goodbye. As it nears the end of the 3 months, feelings are running high and of course its left in a cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I knew this book was going to be good . . .
But I wasn’t sure it was going to be so much more!!! Georgia Cates is unbelievably talented as a writer because she can write words that give me a picture of exactly what she’s talking about. Alex and Magnolia’s story is as incredibly beautiful as Jack and Laurelyn’s was. What is it like to feel that you are so broken that no one can love you as you want to be loved. Until you find that one person. What a story!! And it’s only the beginning. 😍

Charleston and Caesar aka Magnolia and Alex, start off in a weird, meet-cute, where they don’t see each other's just have conversations. What starts off with a three-month relationship quickly goes into I think I found my soulmate, but am I ready for this? Cates gives us all the feels and emotions she is known for in her writing. Love the exposure to the Samoan culture and the past couple, can’t wait for the next series.

What an amazing start to this trilogy, I read Beauty from Pain years ago and I loved it. This first book did not disappoint at all. I was drawn in immediately and did not want to put this book down. I absolutely loved Magnolia and her independence and strong will. Alex was awesome and I loved that he didn't hide his feelings. I can't wait to dive into the second book and see where it goes.

Georgia Cates is a new to me author and I'm so glad I read this. The writing turns it into a movie in my mind and I forget I'm the one reading. I could feel the emotions of the characters and their chemistry had me blushing. This is definitely a slow burn but in the best way. It does end on a cliff hanger, but book 2 makes it all worth it!!

I fell in love with Alex Sebring and Magnolia Steel's story! The dating service Magnolia works for accidentally brings two broken souls together, even though the rules are being broken. Such a beautiful story, can't wait to start book 2. A definite must read.

I loved the first three in the series. I’ve even reread them and enjoyed them as much.
This second series is too similar to the first for me to love them. Sorry maybe it’s just me. It was well written though.
