this is the third in a series of novellas. Read f*ck and fall in love and f*ck around and find out before indulging in this addition to the friends and lovers series. (This is not a recommendation but an imperative ☺️)
Nicole Falls is a contemporary Black romance writer who has taken entirely too long to complete her first project. She's also a ceramic mug and lapel pin enthusiast who cannot function without her AirPods constantly blaring music. When Nicole isn't writing, she spends her time trolling her friends and family while drinking coffee and/or cocktails or checking off yet another of these great United States visited in her quest to see some land! She currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago.
Emory was down bad behind Bree and I loved that for him. The self-proclaimed bachelor fell hard for the dancer and he was ready to put it ring on it and change her last name to Brooks expeditiously. I love it when the MMC falls first and Emory did not disappoint with his pursuit of Bree. F*ck With Ya Boy was the perfect addition to this series. I wasn’t expecting a book on Emory but, it was a pleasant surprise none the less.
This was a good series! I enjoyed Emory retiring his fkboy card. When his sister Ebonee and his best friend Floyd got married in Vegas, who knew Emory would end up connecting with Bree (the dance teacher of Lily, one of Ebonee's daughters). While it wasn't love at first sight, I appreciated the way their love unfolded. It was realistic and just felt right.
Emory was sweet, supportive, and nasty...great qualities in a man lol. Ebonee was talented, kind, and sensual. Together they were unproblematic and a vibe. I'm wondering if this is the last we will hear of them 🤔
SN: Ebonee was talking all that big ish in her book and folded like a lawn chair 🤣🤣
Vegas. Your sister’s wedding weekend. Down by the pool, surrounded by couples, you realize…you’re the only single one. Then you see her. The gorgeous bombshell across the cabana. Turns out she’s your niece’s dance teacher.
Dinner leads to Drai’s. A whispered “what happens in Vegas” turns into a night that neither of you will forget. But by morning, she’s gone.
Only Emory decides that what happened in Vegas isn’t staying there. And he’s determined to show Bree exactly how good it can get.
MISS FALLS did her BIG ONE with this series and I enjoyed each and every book. This one ended exactly as it should have. She built them up and bonded them in such a charming way. This is definitely a ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ series for me
Okay, Nicole Falls really didn’t come to play with Fck With Ya Boy. The story? Sizzling. The chemistry? Baby, it was so hot, I had to wipe my phone screen! Emory came through with that “I’m not here to waste time” energy, and Lawd he was laying it on Bree thick. It was like he had a whole pressure application system ready to go. 🤭*
And what happened in Vegas? Let’s just say, sometimes it definitely needs a repeat… and I’m not talking about the slot machines.
This book!! Nicole is one of my favorites. I know it’s because I feel so seen to be a Midwest girlie. This book is sexy, funny, and sweet. The banter between Emory and Bree is top tier. Nicole knows how to write a complete story even when it’s a novella!! Go read this!!!
When I went back to read the first two books in this series again, I couldn’t guess who might get their own book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was Emory. I loved the YOLO vibe that he and Bree had when they first met. Then I was giving Emory the side eye for coming on a little too strong in his pursuit of more from Bree. Thankfully she welcomed his advances and he stopped acting like an overeager puppy. Their courtship was so natural and sweet with zero drama. I loved that! This was such a fun read with plenty of humor thrown in. This whole series was such a vibe.
This story was as cute, fun and flirty as the title. Emory was on Bree real bad from the first time he saw her and he wasn’t scared to apply a little pressure to get her or take the initiative to clarify their relationship status when it seemed a little grey. I loved these two together and I appreciate the updates on Eb and Flo. I also liked that this story was told only from Emory’s POV. That was a nice switch from the dual POV or only from the female perspective.
If you’re looking for something cute, sweet and short, this novella will not disappoint.
This was a great book to end the series. What happened in Vegas did NOT stay in Vegas. What I adored most is that Em wasn’t just dating Bree he was dating her with purpose. Every move he made reflected, “I choose you. I choose us.” I had a big smile reading the painting group date night. My absolute favorite part. The creativity cause talent was not in the room, the laughter, the chemistry sitting loud around the table… it was the kind of moment that reminds you love can be soft, fun and safe all at once.
Listen I loved catching up on characters from the previous books… Ebonée said she was done having kids. Yall remember the conversation he had with her mmmhmmm look pregnant with twins.
This story is the perfect display of love and courtship. Em and Bree's story is just beginning and it's beautiful. Nicole Falls truly gave us a romance rooted in love, support and joy no struggle love in sight. I loved this one. Truly.

This was a quick read and a perfect addition to this series. Emorey and Bree felt right. As ith any Nicole Falls read, there were plenty of laughs. I also love how this was told completely from Em’s POV, especially since my guy was down bad over Bree. Ate this one up!!
I really enjoyed reading this one. Definitely didn’t know what to expect after I read about Emory in the previous book but I must say I loved him. The right woman definitely makes a difference.
Cute story! The writing was very to the point. Not as spicy as the other books (which were light to medium spice). I really liked reading Emory and Bree’s story.
