“There’s a stranger on the roof, an otter in my office, and the vampires have moved into the entertainment business. If this is what passes for a quiet life in Liverpool, I’m moving to Manchester.”
Lilith O’Reilly’s afterlife was supposed to be settling down. Instead, the city’s undead politics are getting nastier by the minute. A rival is threatening a takeover, the tunnels are stirring with old magic, and now the vampires have opened a nightclub. What could possibly go wrong?
If Lilith doesn’t get a grip on the chaos, the city that brought her back from the dead might just drag her under—for good.
Book seven in the bestselling Netherweird Chronicles series, STRANGE DAYS is a fast and furious urban fantasy about friendship, found family, and holding onto humanity—dead or alive.

Praise for The Netherweird
“Not a single dull character among them…even the cat is cool.”
“Phenomenal…A romp through the beautiful city, encompassing its unique people and historic buildings, sites sounds and smells, the author captures and evokes the weight of historical zeitgeist and as we scousers would say... blends it.”
“...does for Liverpool what Ben Aaronovitch does for London.”
The series carries on being fun and improbable, a lively read I gulped down in an afternoon. Lilith is as beleaguered as ever by netherworldly troubles, but she's showing signs of getting to grips with it all. And for those who know Liverpool and its history there are some choice in jokes. But I tell you what's more improbable than revenants and otters; it's the real world fact that the city I knew in the 70s and 80s is now a major tourist destination, and world cruises tie up in the Mersey. Yeah, that's really weird. Oh, and if you ask me the spirit of the city should speak out of the side of its mouth in a gruff, staccato Ayrshire accent ... Well, the spirit of half the city, anyway.
Wow, I don’t even know what to say, this series is just sooo good! I slipped straight back into Lilith’s world with a grateful sigh of contentment. The Netherweird has become one of my happy places 🥰 and I’m loving how the storylines and also Lilith’s relationships are progressing. Amongst the drama and darkness there were laugh out loud moments, mixed in with in jokes and cultural references - tho I was kind of hoping Lilith might have had a fling with Lennie, that would’ve been something eh girl?! Yes, I did guess who he was and very much appreciated the clues written in, class!👌🏼😁 Oh and I did not see the betrayal coming, that was an ‘Oo!’ moment! Such brilliant writing, loved every minute of this book 🦦♥️
I have loved this whole series. Isobel's character development is so interesting and her friendship/life partnership with Lil feels so realistic in a series where nothing else is realistic. Just incredible.
Hard to see where this one was going as the threat was well below the radar. Izzy really needs a break, shed tell me to f-off I'm sure but I really just wanna hug her till the pain goes away.
