Concannon was a cool one, but this time, even he was at a loss. As a railroad agent, it was his job to find out who'd stolen a hundred thousand dollars in a train robbery. Just another routine case --- except for one thing. Concannon's best friend, Ray Allard, was riding shot-gun when the train was robbed and Allard was being blamed for masterminding the theft, even though he'd been killed in the gun battle. Concannon had to clear Allard's name, but the deeper he dug, the more he realized he was buying bad trouble. When at last he learned the terrible truth, he was facing his own death.
